Being treated like a family member who was REALLY missed. Always smiling, always helpful, excellent coffee !

Wifi could have been a bit better - signal was mediocre. If I wasn't a business traveler this would not even be mentioned and as it was - I'd return in a heartbeat.

Small hotel but you get everything you need including amenities in the room, a safe, slippers, etc. The room is of decent size (mine has a nice view, too). Even though the staff do not speak any English or good English, they try very hard to serve and things worked out well. Also very sweet is that each lady guest gets to choose a shawl as a welcome gift. Not sure whether the men get something... It's not about getting a gift, it's the thought behind. The hotel is of walking distance to all the key attractions in the Old City but on a quiet street, which is great.

Nothing really. One thing to mention though is that since i stayed on the top floor (4th floor?), I felt bad that they had to help carry my large and heavy luggage case up and down. It's quite an exercise going up after a long day of walking in the city. So go for a room that's not high up if you're not up for the exercise. They let me choose my room though when I arrived.

This hotel was truly splendid. It is small and intimate; the staff are extremely helpful and accommodating; the location is perfect for reaching the main sites as well as taking the train to wherever you want to go. Hotel Divalis is situated in a quaint little street and breakfast on the terrace watching the morning life on the street was lovely. I will once again stress that the staff went out of their way to be helpful.

Nothing to complain about. I will return.

Located a few minutes walk from the Blue Mosque, the hotel is very convenient. The staff are friendly and do everything they can to ensure guests have a good stay. The deluxe room and bathroom were excellent. We would return here and recommend this hotel.

    Nothing major to dislike.

Amazing location! Literally a 5minute walk from the Blue Mosque and other nearby attractions. It was lovely having the luxury to come back to the hotel midday for a rest before venturing out again at night. The staff were absolutely brilliant and welcomed us so much we felt like we were at home. The manager Arzu worked very hard to accomodate our needs and the receptions Altan and Benjamin were very kind and welcoming. Breakfast was brilliant and the breakfast ladies were very friendly each morning. Would definitely recommend.

Rooms were a little smaller than anticipated, but the great location and friendly staff made up for it!

The staff were amazing. The location is perfect to explore the old centre of Istanbul.

The call to prayer is wonderful but there are a lot of mosques in that area so it can be a bit disarming so early in the morning. Bring earplugs

Divalis Hotel provided the best service of any hotel I have been to. From the moment we entered to the moment we left, they couldn't have done more to accommodate us. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Divalis is a medium size family hotel. The rooms are immaculately clean with modern and aesthetically pleasing bathrooms. Breakfast offered plenty of choice and the location (a stone's throw from the Blue Mosque) was fantastic. There are plenty of restaurants and bars further up in the street (we loved 'Copenhagen') yet the location of the hotel is lovely and quiet. Beds are very comfortable and I rarely sleep so well in a hotel as here. Our room even had outside space! Wifi was good, too. Would recommend to anyone and would like to visit again.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. They made the stay. The location is also amazing, everything is a walking distance away and the major sites are on the doorstep.

Limited hot options for breakfast - but the options that were there were good.

A lovely little, friendly, family-atmosphere, cosy, boutique-style hotel with rooms that a lot of big 4-star hotels would aspire to have! The room I had was not huge, but it was very well decorated and furnished and was spotless, as was the shower-room. The bed was comfortable and the wifi was great! There was even a stocked mini-bar which is becoming a rarity these days. I wasn't fortunate enough to get one of the rooms with a view, but when you are in a city like Istanbul you don't really want to spend a lot of time in your hotel room anyway! The staff are welcoming and friendly which adds to the family/homely atmosphere. The same smiling ladies who provide the nice, healthy breakfast would also appear to be responsible for the spotless cleanliness of the rooms and the management fall over themselves to be helpful. I contacted them in advance and they were able to arrange reasonably priced airport transfers for me. Top Marks! Like other commentators I can only reiterate the easy walking distance to the Blue Mosque, Agia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and not too much further to the Grand Bazaar and other attractions. Also, just up the hill from the hotel there is a good selection of restaurants that are all very keen to have your business, so you don't have to go far of an evening to find varied and good quality eateries. On the same street there are several convenience-style stores that would seem to stay open extremely late, if not 24/7! Some guests with limited mobility may find the stairs in this cozy little hotel a challenge, but I'm sure that if contacted in advance, they would arrange for you to stay on one of the lower floors! All in all, highly recommended. If I go back to Istanbul I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again!
