The location, the comfort, the excellent Brasserie restaurant.
It is like you are living in an ancient Ottoman palace. New favorite place in Ankara.
Travelers should note that the hotel is in Ulus, which is a very secluded, quiet area. Taxis are necessary to get to/from.
Wonderful interior, beautiful hotel and rooms. Good location for old town sightseeing.
Poor soundproof. Food in a restaurant could be better for such level of hotel. No breakfast bufe.
The decor was way beyond the typical hotel ... a restoration of a 16th century caravansary. Both our room and the public spaces were extraordinary. The staff was also extraordinary -- helpful, friendly, cheerful and the list of positives goes on. The restaurant food was outstanding. This is one of the best hotels that we have stayed in worldwide.
I kept having problems connecting to the hotel 's wi-fi with my IPad.
Ther is no refrigrator in the room
Hotel looks really good, Restaurant food was really nice and staff was helpful.
Lack of desktop on the room to work. Room service not really 24/7 ( Their night menu is not active , we could only get 1 item when needed)
Beautiful hotel. Very close to the Citadel, shops, museums, restaurants and a small park. A museum is connected to the hotel and our 2 year old loves it. Staff was wonderful and decor very unique.
Nice hotel in the old city of Ankara.
At night this area dies and there are few place to eat out within walking distance.
This place is a hybrid of a very interesting museum and a quiet, luxury standard hotel in the most historic location in all of Ankara. My room had a 19th century French decor and a 50 mile view over the valley; the breakfast (in one restored Han courtyard) was sumptuous and the restaurant (in the second restored Han courtyard) truly excellent. Try the stuffed grape leaves main course.
Very nice boutique hotel. We booked the junior suite, and the room was perfect in term of size. Very large bathroom. Food is excellent, we tried the Ankara Tava, and the lahamacum, it was deliciously delicious.
Wifi is very poor in the room. There was stains on the carpets. They can easily take care of these 2 points. Everything else is great.
It was all round pure perfection...
We've been there for a night. But we had chance to see around. Great location. Right next to the historic area. Room was very clean. Awesome staff. Creative decoration with details. I strongly recommend. We'll definently come again.
Great location, very quiet and great facilities.
Though we had a great service from the staff but sometimes we had difficulty to communicate as surprisingly for hotel with this class we would expect the staff could speak English. But again this wasn't really a big issue as we did practice our broken Turkish and electronic dictionary always ready at hand to understand both party.
The location of this hotel is superb. It's on a hill next to an old castle, on windy old streets that have a lot of charm. It's a short walk to one of the best museums I have ever seen: The museum of Anatolian Civilization. The building itself is classy. The bathrooms are extremely fancy. The place is very clean.
At midnight the room's radio came on very loud. Water dripped through the cieling from the room above us onto one of our suitcases. Often the hall lights were off so that it wasn't possible to see going down the stairs. This is a very odd place: fancy but missing some basics. Some of the rooms open into an interior enclosed courtyard but have no windows that open to the outside.
breakfast is served and sometimes is slow
Great location in the old city, in front of the Citadel, very close to the Museum of Anatolian Civilisation. The patio is peacefull, with water and quite music. Fell like a "Bey" in the pure Ottoman style in the beautifull, well furnished rooms. Big Bathrooms. Lovely place and very good Breakfast, even if expensive.
Hotel has 'old school' charm and is just beautiful
The hotel was beautiful with gorgeous decoration, and we almost felt we were in a museum. The room and the bathroom are also better than expected. The staffs are very helpful as well.
Though the breakfast was not too bad, but it is somehow a bit disappointing.
All is perfect.
We liked everything, just great.
The hotel is located in an upcoming tourist area close to the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, however it is little bit far located form the city center.
The building has been beautifully restored and are wonderful place to stay. The location is excellent as well as all the special features in the hotel. The covered courtyard gives the hotel an open feeling. The staff are very helpful and the rooms comfortable with everything you need. Walking distance to the Castle area, museums and tiny shops, inside and outside castle. Very quiet without traffic.
Staff were extremely helpful and attentive, the rooms are luxurious, wifi connection is good and the location is excellent. Would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Ankara. 5 star service.
Nothing to fault.
The two bedroom suite was excellent: spacious and with three bathrooms. One for each bedroom and one for the living room. It was very quite too.
You have to drive or get a taxi if you want to go to the city center
Hotel is perfectly situated to see the castle & world famous museum, the latter being the only reason apart from needing a base to see Hattusa for my stay in Ankara. The hotel itself is beautiful, a restored caravansarai
This hotel is on top of the castle hill so its location might not be for everyone; rather far and a steep climb from the rest of the city. But then I was only here for the museum and saw nothing of Amkara, which is not exactly a pretty capital.
-Beautiful restored old house -even our standard room is large and luxuriously appointed -Excellent sleep quality -Marvellous and over-luxurious bathroom -The old town next door offers excellent dining options -Gorgeous breakfast served like kings at your table -Very reliable Wifi
-Our room overlooks a kind of backyard with work on progress
