My room was upgraded, tasty breakfast, excellent location, beautiful garden, relaxing atmosphere.
"Boutique hotel": you know when you hear those words that men and women are going to react differently. Women will be charmed, marvel at how unusual and delightful the place is, how deliciously "local culture", and so on... while us men will complain about lack of space, narrow staircases and sub-standard facilities. All of this is true in this case, plus they've added an extra bit of "going native" by providing tap water in the bathroom that's not fit for drinking! This, I must admit, was a first for us. I mean, this is Turkey, right? And western Turkey at that, an hour or so from the world-famous coastal resorts of Izmir and Bodrum, not Turkey near the Iraki border... and we're in the mountains, where you'd normally expect to find the purest water in abundance... Of course, we never saw hair nor tail of the so-called "complimentary bottles" of water that were supposed to be in our room. Aside from that, yes the house is charming, yes the staircase is hopelessly steep and narrow, and if you've booked the "luxury" room you're just underneath the powerful sodium vapor light of a street lamp, and right within earshot of the local mosque, whose imam boasts an especially powerful organ, even at 5 in the morning... Your room will have a nice painted ceiling, many windows (and an air conditioner), but only one power outlet, so bring a multi-plug extension. In the very dark and basic bathroom (did I mention no drinking water?), it looks like the supply of little gel and shampoo bottles is very adequate, but then when you come back the next day in the evening to find that your room has NOT BEEN DONE (!!), the stock looks quite depleted, and of course it's quite impossible to reach the Gullu Konaklari hotel that's supposed to manage the guest house from the other side of the very picturesque village of Sirince...

Fabulous character property located in picturesque village. Lovely antique style home in the heart of Sirince all details; linens and toiletries etc appointed with the best quality.Happy to recommend and would defintley stay again myself.
It didn't affect us but the location would be a challenge for the less mobile. We didn't get the welcome email so had to wait to be let into the house on arrival. However, staff did look after us beautifully after this slight hiccup. Be careful with the water pressure in the shower or the bathroom becomes a swimming pool!
Authenticity of house, lovely period furniture. Light and airy with windows on three sides.
Street lights at eye level, curtains did not keep out light.
Loved the atmosphere that had been created - a wonderful place to unwind with mant private areas for relaxing a feast for the eye.
Disappointing food - the restaurant didn't match the high standard of the hotel - I would recommend eating out.
Beautiful grounds, location
Staff was a bit frosty, acted like they were doing us a favor by honoring the booking.com reservation
