Location Friendly staff Terrace view
Very small rooms
Helpful attention by the staff, excelent breakfast buffet, nice view from the roof terrace, cosy atmosphere, quiet location although you're in the very middle of the old town
the rooms are rather small
Clean and close to touristic attractions
Obviously the location near to everything. Staff were very helpful.
Walkable to major sites, shuttle from airport, friendly staff and view at restaurant
Bed could be a bit more comfy but adequate
Good location Nice breakfast Helpful staff
THE STAFF, SAHIN AND BURCU WERE THE BEST...VERY HELPFUL AND PLEASANT...THEY MADE US FEEL AT HOME...GREAT LOCATION WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE TO THE IMPORTANT POINTS OF INTEREST, GREAT VALUE FOR THE MONEY...WE'LL DEFINETLY VISIT AGAIN AND STAY LONGER...THANK YOU GUYS, YOU WERE THE BEST!!! SINCERELY, THE ARDALIC'S
Amazing staff, excellent service and perfect location.
The room and toilet was not cleaned, I could see dirts between the mattress and the bed, also the toilet smelled disgusting. The wifi was completely dead until we changed the room. The double bed is too small. I didn't enjoy the shower at all cause the water was weak and almost cold.
Everything was perfect Congratulations Efendi Hotel on a very well run hotel. Made our stay in Istanbul most enjoyable
Excellent location, great staff and very good value for money! Bardzo warte polecenia!!!
Very comfortable bed and room. First class service . Very friendly. Excellent for seeing main historic sights and 3 blocks to major tourist team line.
Back alley Street hard to get a cab in and out of, but all Sultanahmet is this way. Also, there was some construction on the street nearby at night, BUT NO FAULT OF HOTEL. Didn't use wifi because there is government censorship and I had an alternative. Highly recommended. Would stay again.
I was on a business trip but wanted to have a chance to see the old city during my stay. The staff were wonderful. They helped me get taxis, organized airport transfer (excellent option, take them up on the offer, hotel a bit difficult to find), etc. Great location. Good Wifi in the room and on the upstairs veranda.
Hotel location difficult for taxi drivers to find. Just have them drop you at the nearby burger king or starbucks and enjoy the walk up the street.
The central location The quality of the staff The very good breakfast buffet
I would have appreciate a place were to meet with my friends (a bar or a sort of living room). The lounge is very small and not appropriate for that.
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and overall we were very happy with our choice. The hotel has a great location, only a few minutes walk to the main sights and from the breakfast room and terrace you have a lovely view of Hagia Sophia and the rest of istanbul - what a great way to start the day. But it is in a quiet side street, so you don't have any road noise. Out of the three nights we spent at Efendi, unfortunately we only managed to sleep through one night - the first one. On our second night, which was a Monday, the construction workers who were working on another hotel next door had the idea of filling concrete until past 1am! My boyfriend mentioned this to the reception who told him they will see what they can do, the noise stopped for about 15 mins but then they continued with their work. The next day we were woken up in the middle of the night because a party of 2 couples decided to continue their evening in the corridor - as the doors are super thin we had the feeling they were in our room! This is not the hotels fault that this party thinks it's a good idea to be having their loud conversation in the corridor when other guests may be sleeping, but if the doors were sound proof, the noise wouldn't have woken us. The hotel itself is nice, the staff speak English, you have a tea/coffee making facility in the room and the hotel is nice and clean. We had a standard room on the 4th floor, the room was a good size, not big though. The breakfast was great! Every morning we were looking fwd to having breakfast, the breakfast area is nicely decorated and the choice for breakfast is good. You get some fresh fruits, and yoghurts, various cheeses, meat cuts, olives, salad, fresh bread, and sweets. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Efendi and would book here again (but just bring ear plugs).
Location and staff.
Room too small for mature couple with more than one large suitcase. Water pressure not adequate.
The staff were very welcoming and the view from the breakfast room was tremendous
Great location, Great breakfast, kind friendly helpful staff
Location is great, very close to all the tourist attractions. Staff is very helpful. View from the rooftop is cool. Breakfast menu was good.
Poor wifi signals in the room we stayed in, we had to sit very close to the room door for any connectivity. We were not able to sleep properly because of the noise, mostly from the cleaning staff in the morning.
The staff were particularly hospitable and accommodating. Location is brilliant. Breakfast on the bright, well decorated roof terrace with amazing views of the Hagia Sophia was a lovely surprice.
Standard double beds and bedrooms were on the small side.
It's located on a quiet street in Sultan Ahmet but only a couple of minutes away from the tram station and Hagia Sophia. Room was small but very clean and tastefully decorated.Staff were very nice. I would stay here if we were to travel to turkey again.
Breakfast buffet was not outstanding , kind of mediocre. Need to add more items and nay be work on their omelette making skills for which they charge one Euro. You have to take stairs to go down into the lobby from street level. That makes it unaccessible to elderly or disabled travellers.
Efendi Hotel was a reminder of how lovely the Turkish people are. The Hotel is Contemporary Turkish Décor with a great location, close to everything. The staff were fabulous and couldn't do enough for us.
There was nothing I didn't like.
This is on a quiet side street. Great staff. Would go again
Nothing not good
Very clean, very kind staff and excellent location for visiting the sights around Sultanahmed.
Poor lighting in bathroom for make up. As soon as I mentioned this however, the staff tried to improve it by installing stronger light bulbs.
The staff could not be more helpful and with this location, you can easily walk to all of the top attractions (Aya Sofia, Blue mosque, cisterns etc) within 5 minutes. Great breakfast as well!
Get your room above ground as below ground has a bit of a musty odour.
