-Staff were very nice, they offer suggestions to the guests and were always there to help. they even bring/guide you to places. -breakfast was good, the owners made me omelette because i don't eat boiled eggs (LOL)! -the location was great 2 min walk to st. john's and there was a tour agency right outside (if you want to do a guided tour which was cheaper than that booked online), walking distance to the Otogar and train station.
-the bed was hard
A little cold for the season.
Location: on the main street within walking distance to St. John archeological site, city center, and bus station. Helpful owner and staff.
The balcony door for room facing the street does not close properly which allows cold draft and traffic noisy into the room.
Friendly owner/manager who can arrange taxis and introductions to tours and interest sites , location is walking distance ( 5 mins ) to bus and train station and restaurants ,5 minutes walk to ruins of St John Basilica and 7 minutes walk to new renovated Museum (opened 7th Dec 2014 ). Plentiful Turkish breakfast, use of kitchen for tea and coffee anytime
During rain storms ,top floor and some areas leak. Hot water and wifi is switched off during storms ..
Friendly, generous and authentic proprietor and staff.
Great Location which is near bus station 5minute by walk. Near the Efes. The boss & staff quite friendly.
No provide transport to Efes.
Good location, everything is very near Staffs are very friendly and helpful Nice and healthy break fast
i booked a second time on our trip.
They give us an extra breakfast when we arrive early and wait untill 3 in the morning for us to arrive.
1 - very good location. Very convenient, close to everything. 2 - hotel decoration is good 3 - breakfast is good and it is at the rooftop, make it a relax breakfast. 4 - service is good, owner and all of the staff are very friendly. 5 - balcony is good
The owner makes the experience. Very helpful and knowledgeable.
Staff friendly and nice
The staff were so friendly and made us feel immediately welcome. We had a nightmare day of travel with delays in our flight and lost luggage meaning we arrived a day late to Efes. The owner didn't charge us for this night even though the policy was to charge for a no show! Even though breakfast hours were over we were starving and so he made us a lovely breakfast with so many varieties of fresh fruit. The location was also extremely convenient...just a quick walk over from the train station. Highly recommended!
Our room was very comfortable with airconditioning and extra blanket. Bathroom was spacious with shower and toilet. Breakfast is lots of yummy fresh fruit, bread, boiled egg, tea or coffee. Hotel is a very short walk to the Otogar, train station, and the restaurants near the aquaduct. They organised a free transfer to Ephesus too. Excellent value for 2 nights!
location is very good.
Very good location, near the bus and the train station ( 5 minutes walking). Besides, is near restaurants and stores. The host is very helpful and nice. The rooms are simple, but clean.
It has no curtains
The manager was kind.
Good location, just 5 minutes walk from otogar (bus station). Great staff, they are all friendly, and helpful. Eventhough there is no lift, staff's willing to help taking the luggage to/from the room. Turkish breakfast is provided on the terrace, good atmosphere.
Hot water is not working.
The room reeks of cigarette smell.
The hotel was within walking distance to the Bus Station (Otogar) and the Train Station. There was a market and many restaurants nearby. Quite a number of tourist attractions within walking distance too.The wi-fi connection in our room was strong and fast which exceeded our expectation. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Location is good
A/C too cold, no extra blanket A/C not on, then too hot
Clean, good location, nearby bus station.
Don't allow us to wash our clothes.
The hospitality was superb. Good shower (no curtains), the location is excellend, with restorants les than 1 block, easy to go to Ephesos. Good, well balanced breakfast. Good AC. Very friendly staff that could communicate in English. They would share fruits and breads with passengers every time you get into the hotel. Very nice stay there (only 1 night)
No real problems, but the stairs could be a problem for eldery passengers (We are 61 young years old). No parking, but we left the car at the doors of the hotel every time we wanted. Selcuk has not traffic troubles.
Location was great... practically within sight of the railway station, and yiou can walk to all the historic sites, including Ephesus (25 minutes). The price was extremely good, and for that we have booking.com to thank... when we returned later without a prior booking, the owner said that honestly, he could no longer quite match the price that booking.com had advertised (but he still gave us a great deal). He was friendly and helpful... when the laundry lady has already left and we wanted some laundry done, the owner did it himself!
Nothing, really... when, a few days after this stay, we decided to take a second look at Ephesus and tolled into town once more, we didn't hestitate to return to Efes Antica.
Very good hotel. Lovely staff. Felt more like staying in the family home. Breakfast was great. Very good base for exploring the region. Many restaurants and train station within a short walking distance.
