The staff were so friendly and made us feel immediately welcome. We had a nightmare day of travel with delays in our flight and lost luggage meaning we arrived a day late to Efes. The owner didn't charge us for this night even though the policy was to charge for a no show! Even though breakfast hours were over we were starving and so he made us a lovely breakfast with so many varieties of fresh fruit. The location was also extremely convenient...just a quick walk over from the train station. Highly recommended!

Our room was very comfortable with airconditioning and extra blanket. Bathroom was spacious with shower and toilet. Breakfast is lots of yummy fresh fruit, bread, boiled egg, tea or coffee. Hotel is a very short walk to the Otogar, train station, and the restaurants near the aquaduct. They organised a free transfer to Ephesus too. Excellent value for 2 nights!

Very good location, near the bus and the train station ( 5 minutes walking). Besides, is near restaurants and stores. The host is very helpful and nice. The rooms are simple, but clean.

    It has no curtains

Good location, just 5 minutes walk from otogar (bus station). Great staff, they are all friendly, and helpful. Eventhough there is no lift, staff's willing to help taking the luggage to/from the room. Turkish breakfast is provided on the terrace, good atmosphere.

    Hot water is not working.

The hotel was within walking distance to the Bus Station (Otogar) and the Train Station. There was a market and many restaurants nearby. Quite a number of tourist attractions within walking distance too.The wi-fi connection in our room was strong and fast which exceeded our expectation. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The hospitality was superb. Good shower (no curtains), the location is excellend, with restorants les than 1 block, easy to go to Ephesos. Good, well balanced breakfast. Good AC. Very friendly staff that could communicate in English. They would share fruits and breads with passengers every time you get into the hotel. Very nice stay there (only 1 night)

No real problems, but the stairs could be a problem for eldery passengers (We are 61 young years old). No parking, but we left the car at the doors of the hotel every time we wanted. Selcuk has not traffic troubles.

Location was great... practically within sight of the railway station, and yiou can walk to all the historic sites, including Ephesus (25 minutes). The price was extremely good, and for that we have to thank... when we returned later without a prior booking, the owner said that honestly, he could no longer quite match the price that had advertised (but he still gave us a great deal). He was friendly and helpful... when the laundry lady has already left and we wanted some laundry done, the owner did it himself!

Nothing, really... when, a few days after this stay, we decided to take a second look at Ephesus and tolled into town once more, we didn't hestitate to return to Efes Antica.

Very good hotel. Lovely staff. Felt more like staying in the family home. Breakfast was great. Very good base for exploring the region. Many restaurants and train station within a short walking distance.

Location was very good. Shower had good hot water. Room was clean.

Hotel advertised satellite and cable tv and hairdryer and neither was available. Excuses for this given by the proprietor were that televisions were removed as guests complained about the noise and hairdryers were removed as they could cause fire in the room. When we checked in, the person at reception could not speak English and was unable to deal with us and had to call the proprietor who was offsite. The proprietor was pleasant one minute, but turned unpleasant and brusque when we complained about the facilities, saying - what do you expect for the price you paid. Towels were very scratchy and what was provided as a top sheet was also scratchy.

The Hotel was very well located close the Otogar and also close to the centre of town and its nearby restaurants. The Hotel had an excellent terrace where you relax and enjoy the city view. Guests also had access to a kitchen where you were able to cook an evening meal. The breakfast was adequate and we enjoyed the fresh fruit.

The Hotel is very old and the facilities only average and it should be rated as a Hostel rather than a Hotel. Both the bedroom and bathroom had a very bad smell while the bed linen was Turkish (no top sheet). We stayed 3 nights and the room was not serviced (the bathroom bin not emptied). The Hotel only had 1 hair dryer which could be obtained on request. Finally guests should be aware that this Hotel is Cash Only and should update the House Rules page to make this absolutely clear.

The staff was really professional and helpful!

The bed sheet was a bit hard and uncomfortable on the skin.

Gursel and his staff were great hosts. Very welcoming, helpful, warm and amiable. The location is just brilliant: 5 minutes walk from the train station and 1 minute from restaurants/cafes/bars/shops. Nice terrace where breakfast is served and accessible day and night to guests.

The shower stall doesn't come with a curtain, which means the whole bathroom floor is constantly wet, also due to poor ventilation and drainage. The bed linen were a bit of a joke. The blanket was seriously on the scratchy side! not necessarily a negative comment, but bare in mind that the hotel doesn't accept card payments. Only cash, which wasn't stated when we booked via

This hotel is located in a perfect position, all points of interest and the otogar are within at a close proximity to it. A very friendly and helpful owner.

Perfect location. Thanks a lot for the hospitality. I arrived very early in the morning, the staff wasn't even up yet but they invited me inside and even gave me a free breakfast. The owner also suggested me a day tour to Ephesus which was fantastic. Overall, staff was helpful and very friendly. The room quality was normal for a budget hotel. I definitely consider coming back again to this hotel.

The hotel is in town centre. It is closed to all view points. The owner is kind and the teenager is helpful to take up our luggages up/down a long stairs.

Position is ok and easy to find (public parking on the street just in front). Owner was very helpful and let me call home with his own mobile (!), as WiFi was not working and I had an issue with my phone. Breakfast on the terrace was ok.

Rather oldish place, looked more like a hostel than a hotel. WiFi not working. Breakfast could be improved a bit.

Good location, near Otogar & Train station. Little out of center of the city, but Celcuk is not a big town. Very frinedly staffs and good breakfast is provided.

Facilities are little old. Low water pressure in rest room is not satisfied.

Location. 5 minutes walk to ottogar, Isabey camii& St. John' basilica. And just across the street to all the restaurants and cafés.

The rooms facing the street are a little noisy. That could be a problem if u r a light sleeper.

The services we received from were very good; taking us to market, post office and currency exchange places. Set up one hour early breakfast for us leaving hotel. The location can not be any better, travel agency, market places, bus station right next to St. John's church. WiFi worked great.

Hair dryer was missing, said was stolen by previous guest.
