Our WiFi was spotty, and surprisingly the thick rock walls did not block all sounds from neighboring rooms.
Great location close to restaurants and a nice walk to the open air museum. Amazingly warm and comfortable cave room (for cool early April). Full Turkish breakfast prepared whenever you arrive in the morning. Friendly and helpful staff will get you anything you need and set up tours, transport, and activities while you are there.
Location, friendlyness of the owners and breakfast!
We enjoyed our stay in this cute little place in particular due to the helpfulness of the owners and the special experience of sleeping in a cave. The place is very pretty, nice view and the terrace is lovely.
Everything! What I like the most was the breakfast and has a very good wifi!
The owner very helpful(booking airport shuttle, advices to surrounding), the location is perfect
Clean and comfortable rooms. Booked tours from friendly host.
everything was great!!!!!
Owner and staff and incredible! The room is beautiful and super special living in a cave. It was -10 out side but we never felt cold in our cave. Shower was powerful and always hot water. The owner helped us out all the time going out his way to help at no extra cost.
The drains sometimes smelled, but it's a cave so what can you expect :)
My husband and I loved at stay at this boutique hotel. The hotel is only 2 years old, is family run and only has a few rooms, so you really feel like family. Plus, we received excellent hiking and local recommendations from Mook, the hotel manager, and enjoyed great breakfasts every morning. The property has been in the family for years and they grew up in the same cave house. When they started the hotel they built a new building for the kitchen and facilities, and turned all of the cave rooms into bedrooms with cool carvings behind headboards, new bathrooms and all of the comforts that you'd expect. I really loved that the hotel had so much history. Plus the decorations are really cool with a lot of local antiques; a great way to learn more about the local culture. I assume that there aren't many reviews for this hotel because it is so new and relatively small. But don't let that mislead you. This is an excellent location; Goreme is a tiny town and everything is close. And most of their rooms are cave rooms with tons of space, new bathrooms and the coolest shower you may ever experience!
Great hospitality, excellent location, very comfy and cozy... This is the place to stay in Goreme !
Location was perfect, room was cosy, and the staff very helpful, super nice and they spoke english perfectly!!!! The breakfast was also good!!
Great value for money, super hospitable family that runs the place means you feel well at home. The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept amazingly. There are also a couple of v cute dogs staying there, who were v amusing!
We felt extremely welcome in Emily's Cave House! Everybody always had a smiling face and they were always ready to help and offer the Turkish hospitality that we rave about. The room and the shower were amazing and I couldn't feel more at home. Thank you very much for EVERYTHING! My best stay in a hotel in Turkey!
Wifi didn't work in the room, but it's understandable as it is a real cave.
Our stay in Emily's Cave House was great. The family who runs the place really made us feel home, they were helpful at all the time giving us suggestions where to go and what to do and also sharing the social area with us (where we used the wifi and had breakfast). Breakfast had a lot of homemade things and was really nice. The location is great and you can walk to Goreme city centre and some attractions like open air museum. We were happy to have the real cave-room experience!
The owner & family are amazing and very helpful. Our 1st time staying in a cave and it's a wonderful experience although the smell of stone could be a bit rough sometimes. hehe
central location, cave room, helpful staff, good breakfast
It was great, the staff at Emily's cave really made out trip perfect!
The staff were very helpful and accommodating, really A+. They let me borrow an adapter for my gadgets as it was not compatible to the socket. They let me leave my things after check-out as I have to go on a tour of Cappadocia and a chance to freshen-up while waiting for the airport shuttle. The room was spacious and a real cave which was a treat. Location was also excellent. Pleasant experience all in all.
All is perfect. NO DEFECT!
a fantastic experience to sleep in a cave in a real Fair Chamin. I never see something like this. Muk, one of the owner, is a fantastic person and will give to you a lot and essential advertise about excursion, place to visit and resturant where find the best food in Goreme. One of the best holiday in my life. PS: THE BREAKFAST IS AMAZING!
Very warm and welcoming guest house. It felt very homely and they were very helpful indeed, The location is perfect for getting around Cappadocia. Give it a try I think you will like it.
I was traveling solo and stayed in room 4. My cave room was very comfortable. It had a small window overlooking a lovely patio and Goreme. Each morning I stepped onto the patio to watch the flotilla of balloons float by. As the other guests have mentioned the cousins that run Emily's hope you feel at home. You do the moment you arrive. Hiking to Rose Valley, Sword Valley and the Open Air Museum are within walking distance. Starting the day off with the delicious Turkish breakfast is perfect for a day of hiking and seeing the sights. Highly recommend staying at Emily's Cave House. Tip-arrange shuttle to/from airport thru Emily's. Only 25 TL ea. way.
Room no2 has no windows
Friendly atmosphere good location cosy outdoor spaces
An enchanting place! Staying in a cave carved into a fairy chimney is just as magical as it sounds. The room was huge, well-heated and comfortable, and the outside terraces leafy and secret-feeling. Staff were friendly and super-helpful, and the breakfast delicious. A great base from which to explore a truly spectacular part of the world.
Location and overall experience
We stayed three nights at Emily's in early September 2014. It was a short 5-minute walk away from the central bus stop and was very well located to explore both hiking trails as well as the nearby Göreme Open Air Museum. Mehmet was very welcoming and accommodating. As we arrived considerably earlier than regular check-in time, he was kind enough to invite us to have breakfast and freshen up. Throughout our stay, he was extremely kind and helpful, answering our many questions on local hiking trails, even going as far as to draw us a separate map pointing out some of the rock churches along the way. He also recommended a scooter rental shop, which was helpful. Other staff were also exceptionally friendly, preparing a wonderful breakfast buffet every morning. We really did feel welcome. As there are only a few rooms, it was quite a quiet place overall. We opted to stay in a stone room (as opposed to a cave room), which we quite liked. The room itself was perfectly acceptable. Would gladly stay here again!
