It was great, the staff at Emily's cave really made out trip perfect!
The staff were very helpful and accommodating, really A+. They let me borrow an adapter for my gadgets as it was not compatible to the socket. They let me leave my things after check-out as I have to go on a tour of Cappadocia and a chance to freshen-up while waiting for the airport shuttle. The room was spacious and a real cave which was a treat. Location was also excellent. Pleasant experience all in all.
a fantastic experience to sleep in a cave in a real Fair Chamin. I never see something like this. Muk, one of the owner, is a fantastic person and will give to you a lot and essential advertise about excursion, place to visit and resturant where find the best food in Goreme. One of the best holiday in my life. PS: THE BREAKFAST IS AMAZING!
All is perfect. NO DEFECT!
Very warm and welcoming guest house. It felt very homely and they were very helpful indeed, The location is perfect for getting around Cappadocia. Give it a try I think you will like it.
I was traveling solo and stayed in room 4. My cave room was very comfortable. It had a small window overlooking a lovely patio and Goreme. Each morning I stepped onto the patio to watch the flotilla of balloons float by. As the other guests have mentioned the cousins that run Emily's hope you feel at home. You do the moment you arrive. Hiking to Rose Valley, Sword Valley and the Open Air Museum are within walking distance. Starting the day off with the delicious Turkish breakfast is perfect for a day of hiking and seeing the sights. Highly recommend staying at Emily's Cave House. Tip-arrange shuttle to/from airport thru Emily's. Only 25 TL ea. way.
Friendly atmosphere good location cosy outdoor spaces
Room no2 has no windows
An enchanting place! Staying in a cave carved into a fairy chimney is just as magical as it sounds. The room was huge, well-heated and comfortable, and the outside terraces leafy and secret-feeling. Staff were friendly and super-helpful, and the breakfast delicious. A great base from which to explore a truly spectacular part of the world.
Location and overall experience
We stayed three nights at Emily's in early September 2014. It was a short 5-minute walk away from the central bus stop and was very well located to explore both hiking trails as well as the nearby Göreme Open Air Museum. Mehmet was very welcoming and accommodating. As we arrived considerably earlier than regular check-in time, he was kind enough to invite us to have breakfast and freshen up. Throughout our stay, he was extremely kind and helpful, answering our many questions on local hiking trails, even going as far as to draw us a separate map pointing out some of the rock churches along the way. He also recommended a scooter rental shop, which was helpful. Other staff were also exceptionally friendly, preparing a wonderful breakfast buffet every morning. We really did feel welcome. As there are only a few rooms, it was quite a quiet place overall. We opted to stay in a stone room (as opposed to a cave room), which we quite liked. The room itself was perfectly acceptable. Would gladly stay here again!
Walking out of our room in a cave each morning and seeing a stunning view.
The owners are extremely helpful; they really go out of their way to help you- whether with restaurant recommendations or booking tours or shuttle buses. Great location, simple but tasty breakfast. Low key, relaxed. We'd recommend Emily's. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
Location is best. Overall clean and cozy cave room. Big bed. Nice private patios in second floor
Bad smell from the bathroom at times. Barking dogs at night. Not all staff speak English. Outdoor area could need more light at night.
For friendliness and position you could not find a better place than Emily's Cave House. The staff and particularly Muk could not do enough for you. We loved that we were staying in a real dug out cave, very comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. We would highly recommend it.
- good location - nice apartments and outside terraces - the guy at reception was very kind and helpful - we got lost our luggage at the airport and his interest helped a lot in solving this situation :)
Location, cool room, helpful staff, fun experience
Friendly and very helpful staff. Cool cave room. Very nice breakfast!
Good location (15 mins walk to Goreme open air museum, 5 mins walk to restaurants of Goreme). Very genuine cave hotel experience. Very helpful and kind staff! Tip: choose a cave room vs a stone room in the summer to stay cool!
Few maintenance things required (some light bulbs burnt out, etc). No hot water in the shower.
Great place to stay in Goreme with large and comfortable cave rooms. Very nice breakfast served on the beautiful terrace. Muk and all the staff is very helpful and pleasant!
We selected a Cave room without any window --> original and exotic setting Very friendly staff Well located in Goreme main town
What a pleasant stay in Emily's Cave House!Everything was perfect! The staff is very friendly and very keen to give useful information to make the best out of your holidays. Location also is very good (you will get the chance to see the magnificient fairy chimneys from your room/terrace). Moreover breakfast is served in the terrace and this made our stay even better! If we ever have the chance to go back to Cappadocia we will definitely stay again in Emily's Cave House!
- nice staff - comfortable bed and spacious room - excellent price&quality
- dogs barking at night (not their fault)
Everything, the staff were brilliant, made us feel at home, gave us lot of advice about trips and walks.
Nothing, everything was superb
The owners and staff went out of their way in every way to make our tours and activities work just perfect. They were amazing, accommodating and lots of fun.
The personal service for restaurants, tours special events was wonderful.
I did not like the dogs in the eating area.
It did feel like staying in my family house. They not only give you place to stay which is by the way mind blowing, but also simply take care of you and let you involved in the family life. Hope I can come back one day
