Providing accommodations in the center of Sultanahmet's Old City, the Hurriyet Hotel is around 2.5 miles to Topkapi Palace and just over 1 mile to the Grand Bazaar.
Score from 643 reviews Very good
In the historic center of Istanbul, Emek offer free Wi-Fi, free breakfast, and a 24-hour front desk with city maps. Topkapi Palace and the Suleymaniye Mosque are within a 5-minute walk.
Score from 531 reviews Very good

Centrally located in Kumkapi neighborhood of Fatih district, the Sun Hotel is just under 1 mile from historic sites such as Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace.
Score from 313 reviews Very good
The hotel is in the center of the historic center of Istambul, next to tram line to go to the other part of Istambul( Taksim) and next to ferry lines to go to asiatic part. Next to restaurants, shops, bazar, blue Mosque, usw. My breakfast was included. Very warm adjustable heating. Nice recepcionist, they gave one extra breakfast the day we arrived for free.
No lift, we were on 4th floor. Not strong light on the room. In booking said you could pay by card, but they make me take cash to pay the hotel, the machine wasnt working in the morning and neither in the night or the next day. Breakfast was good, the same the 2 days, simple, but according of what you pay is good, we paid 12 Eur per person in twin room with breakfast included :)
Excellent hotel, prices, services and location. staff are wonderfull especially the lady at the reception "you are a wonderful mom"
What I liked the most was the staff who was very friendly and always willing to help, specially my friend Muhammad and the reception members (I was even smoking and chatting with Berken, and chatted quite a lot with the woman whose name I dont remember). Everyone in there was kind and friendly.
We didnt spend to much time at the hotel so we didnt see too many errors. Not the best hotel ever but good to just sleep. Good price and quality.
Location, friendly and helpful stuff, great breakfast.
Wifi connection was a mess. The internet itself was ok but there ware too few access points so connection was poor. There also was high humidity.
Actually single room is big. Breakfast is better than I expected. Great location. Cheapest Hostel I found in Sirkeci. Helpful staff. I recommend it!
Internet there is not so good. But people from the hotel helped me to connect using other networks xD
The hotels fits well for tourists who would mostly observe local attractions. Its location is just superior. Very friendly staff, they will help you in most possible situations especially if you ask, perfect location, good (money/value) restaurant on the ground floor with small open terrace, good breakfasts included into room price, tram stop is nearby (2 mins). All main attractions of the Old City are situated at walking distance.
No view from the window if it does not look at the street, just a wall of opposite building in 1 meter. Doves and other birds living somewhere between the buildings create some noise, so close the windows in your room and turn on A/C if it irritates.
The hotel has a friendly staff, the rooms are cosy and nice, and the most important thing; it is clean. The location is great, because you are close to many famous attractions.
Very friendly, very kind to the clients and smiled people! Good profesionals! Kitchen is very delicious! The place of the hotel is at the historical part of the city and this is very good location for tourists and business people who are not looking for lux, but for a comfortable bed to sleep.
There is no elevator because the building is old. The hotel is with 4 floors. It is not designed for people with some kind of diseas. Rooms are not big - only for sleeping, but clean.
Clean linens, new towels each day Great location in old city on Metro line Quiet (relative to Istanbul) Really nice, helpful front desk folks
bathroom was a bit unclean, exhaust fan noise like a jet engine. Blow dryer did not work. shower head wouldn`t stay on wall. beds were hard, slightly lumpy futons
Top location within old town, many restaurants, bars and shopping. Friendly helpful staff small room but comfortable beds good value for budget hotel
Room on 4th floor and no elevator.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. Location is great (but this depends on your interests). It is very close to old monuments - Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, etc. Also, there are train stations nearby, so you can easily go to Taksim, or to boat transportation. Room was clean, and the breakfast wasn't so bad.
The room was so small and sometimes we had the problem with wifi (in room).
good staff specially the Syrian worker Ahmed he is very helpful man
the front liner staff very good
The room was too small
Nice relaxed atmosphere, friendly people (especially Mrs. Guli who warms the early departer with a good cup of coffee).
Location near Hippodrome, tramvay, shops, restaurants. The area did not "die" after 20:00 hrs, unlike much of Turkey. For one reason or another I had a triple room. Rather jolly woman at reception. Easy going about when to pay. Restaurant attached with 10% discount for residents
Not a problem for me but cash in local currency strongly preferred. Because I was in a triple room and was told I'd be moved next day, I packed up every morning, but stayed in the same room every night! No elevator! My poor knees!
Location was perfect, friendly staff, daily cleaning & I liked the food in hotel's restaurant. overall.. I was looking for nice place to stay (close to city centre) so I think this hotel was exactly what I was looking for.
location was perfect... staff was excelent... i love this hotel.. i'm going to visit it next time
Young and friendly people. Good staff. Breakfast is good. The main reason to chose this hotel was the excellent place at the center of the historical part of Istanbul. I'll be back soon!
Absolutely perfect location within easy reach of all the sights in the old town. Located in a quiet side street, we slept very well. Clean rooms. Good breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Compared to the price - much better than expected in all areas.
The location ONLY!!!
The first night I had to sleep in another hotel as EMIN was fully booked!!! The second day I had to move to Emin, climbing the stairs to the second floor without elevator, we are over 70. The room was dirty the sheets teared the wardrobe broken without hungers with hinges to hung the cothes, even the bed lamps over our heads were hunging broken. The poor breakfast was served in a dirty restaurant. There were no loby. Worst hotel in my life, an old traveler for business and leisure having visited too many cities and countries in all continents exept Australia. They could not also accept the credit card by which I made the reservation and I had to pay by another credit card. I hope that they will not charge later as they have my card's number.
the positive point is only location.
Room and bathroom had mildew on walls. Room looked and smelled like it was not used for a long time. I ran away after one night.
it was horrid. for instance: the shower drainage was terrible even after i went to let them know and ask them to clear it, they didn't do it.
room too small
The stuff was so kind Breakfast very good The location great
