the staff is very kind and helpfull. the room with a balcony has a beautiful view over the sea. the position is perfect to visit
First, the location. Just 5 min walking in between Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaar. The road is a bit uphill, but Istanbul is all up- and downhill, so nothing strange. The room was big enough for 2, clean, comfortable with nice Turkish style. The breakfast room has an inner courtyard as well, so you can choose if eating in or outside. The breakfast itself (Turkish way) was quite good, selection of cheese, bread and some fresh fruit. There was no yoghurt. The coffee was instant Nescafé coffee (not the Turkish one) but really decent (even Italian standard!). The wifi was really working properly, never problem to connect. The reception was really caring of our needs. They call me the morning before our arrival, to check if a duble-bed room was fine (as it was in the reservation) or if I preferred a queen bed (as I did). So they arranged for it. We also had 3h delay with the flight, landing in Istanbul at midnight. So they also called around 1am to check if we had any problem. The last day we also had problems with the shuttle for the airport, but they re-arranged for us, calling the company couple of time. So, really good experience.
English was enough for basic communication, but we had a problem with the flushing, and we could not explain them properly. Anyway, for the price we paid, it was not a problem. There are only staircase , so perhaps not good for some aged people or with movement limitations. But perhaps they have one room at ground floor, you can check.
The location: it's really close to Sultanahmet, Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace and also close to the Metro. The staff was really helpfull and gave us maps and important info and even asked for a taxi for ur trip back to the airport. Nice breakfast
Not very easy to find, it's a good idea to take a good print of the map of the area to get there. We were expecting a nice terrace but it was a small area surrounded by walls, but still nice. Very close to a mosque so some prayers are bound to be heard through the loudspeakers
Helpful staff. excellent service,
The hotel located at the center. Free mini bar was included. Very cozy. Great price offer
Wi-fi connection was not very good sometimes
Artistic decorated and central location in historic downtown. Breakfast is excellent. Service is great. I have no complaint!!!
The location is good, but it is hard to find. Staffs are great and helpful.
Lovely staff and the hotel was in an excellent location within walking distance from the main attractions.
Rooms were a bit small, but immaculately clean
Hotel facilities are very nice. The staffs are very warm and kind. Breakfast is delicious! The best hotel we lived during the trip to Turkey.

Breakfast could be better
Friendly and helpful staff Clean hotel in a quiet place
Pics of a room on the web give u different feeling of the room size. The room is smaller in reality The streets around the hotel are hardly for a night walk. The neighbour buildings are half destroyed and not nice, so do not expect enjoyable view from ur window, if only the sea at the horizont
Reception very helpful in explaining sites to visit and helping with transport. 24 hour reception service. Rooms were clean but a little on the small side but this would be expected as accommodation is in the old part of the city and close to major attractions
Hot breakfast was not offered on the first day. Requested towels to be changed after the second day and they were changed.
Al the staff is great. They really made my stay easy and very comfortable. One day for instance it was raining very badly. I did not had an umbrella or coat and the front desk lady insisted the I that her personal umbrella. She saved my whole morning.
Excellent location, extremely friendly and helpfull staff, nice and tidy room with romantic terrace, good breakfast (we especially loved the ommelet with tomatoo...) Highly recommended, will certainly come back next time we visit Istanbul!
The positive, the room was clean as was the breakfast area, but that's all the positive.
We stayed there in March 2014, sadly not the experience we were hoping for. The transfer from Ataturk Airport was not arranged even after a phone call to confirm it on the day from the airport, this left us at the mercy of the touts who robbed us blind. The Hotel owner blamed the new staff member who blamed the owner who eventually blamed us. They did offer to pay our return trip but no actual cash appeared - disappointing. Our room was at the top of the Hotel, its their feature room, there's a picture of it in a distant past life as their avatar - no lift no help. The room was dilapidated, drawers missing handles, door falling off the minibar, rendering falling off the walls - I do have pictures. I don't think the balcony had seen a clean up for a few months. We have stayed in many hotels in Sultanahmet over the years and based on that experience it has to said Ersari is the worst so far.
This is a hotel we have stayed at before. We had a wonderful experience in the past. The room was excellent with a view of the water and the location is/was fantastic.
On this trip, we found some staff rude and difficult to deal with. For example, the hotel offers a complementary airport pickup. We booked the room in advance and never received email confirmation we were being picked up despite multiple attempts to contact the hotel. We eventually had to call the manager at 7AM at her house the day of our departure, she booked the pickup, but for the wrong day despite us sending our itinerary to her twice. We experienced comparable drama on our way out. Also, the breakfast buffet, as always, offered a diverse and very good food selection, but the attendant (someone we'd met before) was exceptionally rude and borderline aggressive towards us two days in a row - very upsetting. This hotel is not cheap and there are several others in this quarter, so we will be booking with another hotel next time we are in town.
It is a very cozy and completely renovated hotel with nice decoration. Only 3 minutes walking distance from Blue Mosque and Sultanahmed.
Contemporary, stylish interior. Spotlessly clean. Owner Hassan and brother Mustafa were incredibly welcoming, would highly recommend :)
Location was excellent being in a quiet side street off main drag but easy walking distance to all Sultenahmet sights and metro stop. Steep, cobbled side street may be an issue for those with mobility issues (although that's obviously not the fault of the hotel!)
The breakfast was really nice and the hotel is practically in the middle of the old city. It is just about 20 min from the main attractions.
Staff cannot be helpful enough, for example going up the road to find newspapers to stuff soaking shoes. Not the most attractive location, but superbly placed for major sights. Interior of good standard. Breakfast fine, remember to ask for an omelette if you want one; we were only offered one on the last morning. Rooms comfortably sized and clean
Renovated, pleasant and small place close to all the attraction around the old city. Just 3 minutes walk from the blue mosque. Stuff welcome in with map and explanation of all the attractive places. Room was ready as expected with all the facilities mentioned in the description.
Was hard to find the place without map since it is in one of those hundreds hidden streets in the old city. You better come prepared.
Lady made us omlettes for breakfast every day and overall very nice selection of food available at buffet. They let us do a late checkout at 4 pm for free. Beautiful boutique hotel with slighty kitsch barock/ottoman style. Very nice bathroom and view of Bosphorus from our room.
A/c wasnt working properly but staff tried to fix it without success.
The staff are very nice and room is nice decorated.
Great location, very central, yet in a quiet street. Kind and very helpful staff, the rooms are very clean and comfortable. We had special requests which were immediately attended to.
Low water pressure and noise of heating unit on the terrace in the room on the 4th floor (though: we were allocated another room of equal standard immediately, when we voiced our concern).
