Nice rooms, stylish furniture. U will be provided with everything what can be necessary. Friendly stuff. Close to main city sights and places of walk. The smell... Couldn't understand because of what... All my things after return home still smelt with this "something"... But it wasn't awful... |

Erten Konak is a great, friendly, well located and relaxing hotel. The staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful during our stay, offering advice on local places to eat and on the best ways to travel around the city. The room was bright and very nicely decorated -there was even a little fridge. The communal areas of the hotel were pleasant, with an airy breakfast room and roof terrace looking across the Sultanahmet area. I enjoyed the small touches, such as free tea and pieces of Turkish delight. You could walk easily from the hotel to the local bazaar, to restaurants and to the Blue Mosque or St Sophia, and walking to the ferry to go to Kadikoy was only about 15-20 minutes. This isn't a criticism, but as it's an old building the floorboards were very creaky. The pressure on our shower wasn't great either, but still perfectly adequate. |

I thought the room was excellent, very luxurious and the staff were particularly warm and friendly. The buffet breakfast was also perfect, it had everything and was presented very well. |

Very nice rooms and furniture. The staff were excellent and happy to assist with directions or any other enquiries. There were lots of little touches, including turkey delight at various spots throughout the hotel for guests to graze on, that made the hotel better than the usual place we stay at in this price range. The only small thing that detracted from a great experience was a smell that came up from the drains and into the bathroom. It wasn't the only time I had this experience in Turkey so it might be fairly common. Otherwise, this was a great hotel. |

This is the best hotel among six hotels we stayed at during our recent trip to Istanbul and Greece - it's even better than the five start WOW hotel in Istanbul. It is small, but it tries hard to give the guests a luxurious experience and it has the most exquisite decorations with beautiful furnitures, draperies and linens. We had a room on the top floor with the view of the water. The staffs were helpful and courteous and the breakfast was wonderful with lots of varieties in a beautifully decorated room. Overall, I consider myself lucky to have found and stayed at this hotel. |

The hotel had the air of an old house, well maintained and aisthetically pleasing. The breakfast, although somewhat limited in range, was of excellent quality. The room was small and the shower, eventhough modern, was too small for anyone above 1,60 to stand and wash in. |

They took our suitcases to our room when it was ready. The afternoon tea & goodies were very much appreciated after being out sightseeing in the huge crowds. A quiet retreat! Breakfast was good & nicely presented in the garden room. Staff were soft spoken & polite. Great location for walking to everything in Old Town. The noise of people going up the wooden stairs at night. |

The hotel was as expected, classy with a touch of romantic classical Ottoman atmosphere. First day you got a nice, but small Deluxe Room, but on the next day we were upgraded to a nicer and bigger room, without extra pay. The staff is very friendly and honest. |

(1) excellent location for visiting major turistic objectives in Istanbul (2) clean hotel; (3) gentle and good english speaking staff; (4) no-smoking policy in rooms (of face a fine); (5) cosy and romantic aspect (1) change: better insulation of rooms through better wood frames and windows; (2) thick carpets: wooden floors, nice looking but probably overaged, with many cricket noise are disturbing in the night time; a stay in the last floor is probably the best choice to avoid this; (3) change: windows open and close system which require significant phisical strenght, to put difficulties to women |

Beautiful hotel, lovingly restored as an Ottoman mansion, very helpful staff in a brilliant location in the Sultanamhet district ( old city) close to most of the major attractions and withing easy walking distance. Also close to the tram which is excellent value for attractions slightly further away. As a lone traveller I felt completely safe. I have already recommended it to friends. Windows let noise in and I am a light sleeper. Would have liked a bath after a long day on my feet sightseeing. Tea making facility in the room would have been nice for the morning but breakfast was ready before 7 every day. |

A family run hotel of great accord. Very courteous staff. Excellent location. Only minutes walk to all major attractions. A dedicated computer room for guests, with free internet access and a printer too. Breakfast good but same menu every day. Room rather smallish but not a bother for holiday makers. The hotel is located in a small street with uphill (easily manageable and through beautiful streets) walk to major attraction and the nearest tram station. (It is not suitable for strollers). The staff are very helpful in providing any information needed for sightseeing. In addition, there are many travel shops in close proxilmity. Easily accesible by public transport via Sultanahmet tram station. We do recommend this hotel to holiday makers. |

A very friendly hotel with very accommodating staff. Excellent spread for breakfast and other small nibbles on hand in the evening. Well located for seeing the sights of Istanbul, with a roof terrace with a view of The Blue Mosque. Small things:- the quilt was not as wide as the bed, one window looked out to a brick wall and the other onto the courtyard/breakfast room, so lots of clanking of china in preparation for breakfast in the early hours. Husband who is a slim 1.9 m was only just able to get into and under the shower! |

the hotel is style is quaint and beautiful. The courtyrd and terraces generous and protected. The rooms are exceptionally well appointed. The location in the neighbourhood near the blue mosque etc is perfect and the staff were very helpful and always polite. Not really, more just an observation for others. Because it is a converted ottoman house, it is wooden so there is a little noise; the stairs can be tight especially if you have mobility issues and the call to prayers is sometimes quite load at at 6am. But all of this is also part of the charm, |

The staff couldn't have been more welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean and there was a good breakfast. The location is excellent - just minutes away from some of the main attractions - the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia and the Topkapi Palace..We were on a short break this time and will definitely stay there again. |
