Good breakfast, very kind personal, good location: near Grand Bazar (10 min. by walk), near important objectifs (historical monuments).
No parking; the cost to nearby parking is high: 15 Eur/day and unsafe.
The whole experience here was excellent. Helpful friendly staff, especially "Erkut" on reception. Good food both breakfast & dinner in restaurant. Great location & we were lucky to get a spacious room with balcony. Steve & Diane, NZ
It was way less then we expected..
The room was supposed to be a delux But it was just a normal room. We paid a lot more to get a couple of sq inches if extra space.
We stayed in a room on the roof of this hotel for four nights. We enjoyed the different experience this gave us compared to staying in a normal room. The lift went to level 4 and you take a spiral staircase to the roof. The weather was mid 20's with no rain so it worked out well. Had good views from the roof top. An excellent location for transport, restaurants and walking to tourist sites.
Close to hostorical places
Staff are roud bad services bad food and very expensive i dont recomend it to families becareful families dont go there verrrrrry bad !!!!
The location, rooms space and friendly staff
The hotel entrance is very narrow and small front desk
Excellent location, and staff in general. Zulkuf was exceptionally helpful!
One person at the desk named Erkut; very unprofessional
I was at faros for the 4th time and obviously I love the hotel! The location is fantastic, and the staff mostky are very helpful! Zulkuf deserves a special mention as far as the staff; professional, helpful, and polite!
One person at the desk named Erkut made me feel like I was bothering him if I had any question! He does not smile, and made me feel unwelcome! He should learn a bit of Customer Service for all the guests, let alone me staying with two rooms, for three nights, and for the 4th time at Faros since 2007.
Location is really good. Personal very kind Good relation price-quality
Breakfast a bit poor...
The staff particularly the managers Husnu and Zulkuf, were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I was impressed with the hospitality I received. The staff went out of the way to keep my 2-yr-old entertained and happy. Well done, Faros! Rahij Anwar London
Location is just amazing, very close to SultanAhmet satation where you can find many attractions around in beautiful surroundings. You can use the tram to go to the other Side (Eminuno, Kabatas). I stayed for 3 days and then spent to days in Istiqlal and I regretted moving from that nicely located Hotel. Breakfast is good, People at the reception were very friendly.
Nothing worth mentioning. Maybe the mpost annoying thing was that there's no blackout in the room, but still not a big issue.
V goog especially room 402 with balcony
Loved the location, it was so easy to walk to many places from this position. The room was just what we needed, the staff were friendly and we will definitely stay there again next time we go
There was nothing that disappointed us.
My stay at faros hotel was amazing. I was so happy with the location as it was just a walking distance to all the major sights in istanbul. The rooms were really nice. Beds were very comfortable. . I have to mention that i m cabin crew. I travel the world and stay in 4 and 5 stars hotels and this hotel is one of my favourites as it had such a warm and welcoming feeling. The staff were all so nice and extremely helpful !A big thanks to ertuk, zulkuf , serhat and touran. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who s going on vacation to istanbul !
A great place to stay in Istanbul! Truly in the center and on a main street with the tramway passing in front of the hotel. Main attractions at a few minutes walk. The staff was truly helpful and friendly. We particularly appreciated the attention of M. Mahmut Keser and of Zulkuf. We loved the included breakfast and were quite satisfied with the food during the day.
Although a detail considering the pluses, the installation themselves were somewhat old.
Really comfortable rooms and great location. And I really like the breakfast.
absolutely great location in the heart of instabul. We walked to nearly all the main attractions. Staff were great hotel was clean and comfortable we had a fabulous time
more variety for breakfast
some staff don't speak English ,,,,
One of the Staff was helpfull and they give a free of charge Drive to the airport to make it up for us after shouting in our face.
We stayed 5 years back in this hotel and it was very good and unfortuantly we came back to stay again. The room was very very dirty and the staff was rude and I can say the hotel worth Zero Rate not more. The wifi didnt work and when we told them they said go down to the lobby??!! They bring a very dirty kid bed for my daughter and we didnt let her sleep in it, and finally they shout on our face becuase we want to get a leave at 2 pm instead of 12 pm (Although we get their confirmation one night befre we leave). To make the long story short dont book in this hotel.
Family room had ample room for three adults sleeping separately. Especially liked the curtain that could divide room in half. Nice buffet breakfast. Major attractions within walking distance.
Too cold to sit outside so sometimes breakfast room seemed crowded.
We were a family of 4 members, we stayed in 2 rooms. Its our second time to stay at Faros hotel & its gonna be always our choice! The staff are extremely kind & helpful, location is great (if you prefer Sultanahmet area), room is simple clean & comfortable, excellent wi fi coverage, they also provide airport shuttle.
The breakfast was good but not great. Sometimes we preferred to have it outside. Otherwise my overall stay was excellent.
The location was excellent middle of evreything
They charged my credit card a day befor arriving and they mistaken i stoped my credit card emeditaly I heared others toilet use in my room The elevator small an slow No enough staff to serve you
The staff and the location were the best things about this hotel. Everyone was so very helpful, and the location was excellent - right to the Grand Bazaar, left to Topkapi Palace, Haga Sofia and Blue Mosque. Tram right outside. The restaurant in the hotel was also lovely.
The street was busy, but this added to our enjoyment of the vitality of Istanbul.
Everything was excellent
i liked the location
little rooms and old bathroom, and old towels
