Ferman Hotel  

Close to major sites in Sultanahmet area eg Blue Mosque, Ayasofya, Basilica Cisterns, Topkapi and Archaeological Musuem. Its also conveniently located around cafes, a small bazaar (arasta) and the Sultanhamet tram stop which can take you further eg grand bazaar, spice bazaar, Galata Bridge etc. Surrounding area is quaint - small cobbled back streets gives a neighborhood feel to it. The roof terrace meanwhile is great for breakfasts with a view.

Breakfast spread could be better. Noise from rail track at the back (not a problem if you are out and about most of the day). Anything else would be nit picking

Very pretty rooms, nice pillows and bedding, spacious, and a decent european breakfast. Hotel had the most amazing nighttime views of the Blue Mosque all lit up with no obstructions in the way, just breath taking! Location was wonderful, walking distance to most of the major sites, great shopping and restaurants too. Staff were very friendly and helpful with helping us plan guided tours and rides places often free of charge. I would recommend this hotel! I travelled with 3 other women all in our mid 30'S.

They played music in the hallways during the day and in the morning it was rather loud coming right through the door. However, it was pleasant music, but loud, glad I brought ear plugs. Otherwise noise was not an issue.

Excellent staff, wonderful location, good value of money. We'll be back!

Very comfortable hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. excilant view one side Marmara Sea, and the other one is the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. This Hotel is a good value for money. The only thing need to improve was breakfast buffet

In small street not on the main street sultan room is still small and not so clean breackfast is the same for 4 days no any change

The size of the rooms, the design of both the hotel and the rooms, the location, the value for money, the friendliness of the staff.

The fact that there were train tracks running behind it, though it was surprisingly quiet at night.

- Price/Quality rate. - Location - really just 5 minutes of slow walk to Sultanahmet square and Blue Mosque, about 7-10 min slow walk to Hagya Sofia. - Gorgeous views from King's room and breakfast terrace. - Spacious room & balcony with magnificent view of Marmara sea, Bosphorus and Golden Horn. - king-size bed and large (queen size) folding sofa with excellent mattresses. - tea set to boil water and take tea right in the room. Hotel offers different tea (black, green, olive, herbal) in pouches as a beau geste. The first thing a traveller can do upon checking-in is to make a refreshing tea and enjoy it sitting at the balcony. - very friendly and quick to respond personnel.

- Railway just under the hotel windows. - Hotel restaurant provides only breakfast. To have a 3 course-dinner one should go out which is not always comfortable, particularly after the long-day walking. - The transparent glass table with sharp angles in King's room. For people with weak sight it's a mere danger. My family members bumped into the angles a few times getting the bruises.

The friendly staff and the intrst they took in making recommendations for dinner, sightseeing, etc.

The location of the hotel, right in the heart of Sultanahmet, was excellent, while the view of the Blue Mosque and the Sea of Marmara from the rooftop terrace was superb. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were comfortable and clean.

First of all, I would like to mention once again the politeness of staff who really take care of you as a guest of their hotel. Cozy atmoshphere of the hotel make you feel at home.

excellente situation à 2 pas de la mosquée bleue et de Sainte Sophie ; dans un très joli quartier chargé d' artisanat et de restaurants . Excellents petits déjeuners servis à l' hôtel et compris dans le prix très raisonnable . Literie confortable et grandes chambres . services de l' hôtel pour les excursions . personnel très agréable etc.

La voie ferrée qui borde l' hôtel et donc le bruit des trains jusqu'à minuit donc un peu dérangeant pour les chambres situées du côté de la voie ferrée .

Acogida genial. Interes por parte del personal, habitacion estupenda .. Solo un poco pobre el desayuno pero en general muymuy recomendable!!! De lujo!!! La terraza imprescindible de visitar!!!
