The terrace view was amazing. What a nightmare. My room was located in the basement and was very dark with 2 small windows. The cleaning ladies would wake me up every morning around 7, by smashing their vacum cleaners into my door and opening and closing the other doors where they stored towels etc... When they cleaned my room they would take all my clothes that was not in the wardrobe and put it into my luggage, without folding it so that everything was wrinkled. So I asked the receptionist for an iron, but she never brought it to me. I also asked to be woken up in the morning, but the receptionist did not call me! The breakfast was mediocre, with bad coffee. The birds feed from the buffet as well. One of them ate my cereal while I was getting some tea. The rim of the milk pot was dirty - there was old milk on it which nobody seemed to clean. I have photos of all this, but don't see the way to upload them. Overall, a horrible hotel. They did try to make it up by offering me a free taxi ride to the airport, but this does not solve the basic issues of this hotel.

Very pretty rooms, nice pillows and bedding, spacious, and a decent european breakfast. Hotel had the most amazing nighttime views of the Blue Mosque all lit up with no obstructions in the way, just breath taking! Location was wonderful, walking distance to most of the major sites, great shopping and restaurants too. Staff were very friendly and helpful with helping us plan guided tours and rides places often free of charge. I would recommend this hotel! I travelled with 3 other women all in our mid 30'S. They played music in the hallways during the day and in the morning it was rather loud coming right through the door. However, it was pleasant music, but loud, glad I brought ear plugs. Otherwise noise was not an issue.

Location as perfect for the historic district . Hotel was immaculately clean and the breakfast was good . We stayed 7 nights there, with exception of one night when we took a side trip to Bucharist. Hotel arranged for transportation to airport which was dependable. Noise from nearby train. Stops running at night which is good but starts up rather early. After first night, used ear plugs so it was ok

Having stayed before and being very satisfied last time, gave it another go. Was not disappointed. Due to rain however breakfast was in the basement not on the roof. Could not get the wi - fi going. (worked fine elsewhere)

The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast good and the airconditioning quiet and effective. The location was excellent for shopping, eating and getting to the tourist sites in the old city. It was also quiet at night. Location was also excellent as it is close to the tram stop. The view of the Blue Mosque from the roof top was wonderful. The hotel had various conifers in pots on our balcony and utside the hotel which had died from lack of water which gave the place an otherwise unwarranted air of neglect. Duvet covers were used as top sheets for the bed but they were too small; perhaps two could be provided.

Wonderful location, wonderful hotel and very helpful staff. We love the rooftop open 24 hours with the beautiful view of the Blue Mask and Hagia Sophia. It is right off the railroad and the rooms that are facing the rail are quite noisy. Do not get a room facing the rail if you have trouble sleeping. We had a big suite facing the railroad which was noisy. But we also could see the Marmara sea which was very beautiful. The houses near the railroad look so poor and half destroyed by the time. At the same time, those contrasts had added some spice to our stay.

Really great location, 5 minutes to Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. Many restaurants nearby, great views from the roof terrace. Large and clean rooms. Our room (Ferman room) overlooked railway lines. Even with windows closed the noise was hard to stand. Especially in the night - we were awaken every 15 minutes by passing trains...

The size of the rooms, the design of both the hotel and the rooms, the location, the value for money, the friendliness of the staff. The fact that there were train tracks running behind it, though it was surprisingly quiet at night.

- Price/Quality rate. - Location - really just 5 minutes of slow walk to Sultanahmet square and Blue Mosque, about 7-10 min slow walk to Hagya Sofia. - Gorgeous views from King's room and breakfast terrace. - Spacious room & balcony with magnificent view of Marmara sea, Bosphorus and Golden Horn. - king-size bed and large (queen size) folding sofa with excellent mattresses. - tea set to boil water and take tea right in the room. Hotel offers different tea (black, green, olive, herbal) in pouches as a beau geste. The first thing a traveller can do upon checking-in is to make a refreshing tea and enjoy it sitting at the balcony. - very friendly and quick to respond personnel. - Railway just under the hotel windows. - Hotel restaurant provides only breakfast. To have a 3 course-dinner one should go out which is not always comfortable, particularly after the long-day walking. - The transparent glass table with sharp angles in King's room. For people with weak sight it's a mere danger. My family members bumped into the angles a few times getting the bruises.

The Hotel was very comfortable with very friendly staff. Great selection of breakfast. Breathtaking view from roof top terrace. One side is the Marmara Sea, the other one is the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. We strongly recommend this beautiful Boutique Hotel in the middle of the Sultan Ahmet district. This Hotel is a good value for money.

The location of the hotel, right in the heart of Sultanahmet, was excellent, while the view of the Blue Mosque and the Sea of Marmara from the rooftop terrace was superb. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were comfortable and clean.

Fantastic location, close to everything in the Historical Istanbul, and also next to a very nice little street full of romantic restaurants and bars. Very nice and comfortable big room. Breakfast buffet was a bit poor. Not much variety and sometimes half empty by the time we got there. Hotel is located next to the railway, especially the Ocean rooms are on the railway side and can get very noisy. I would recommend to go for a room on the city side instead.

staff friendly and helpful. Rooms large and comfortable. Bowl of fruit in room a nice touch I could not convince staff that the "hot" water was not in fact hot. Even when they felt the tepid water they denied it was not hot. This happened for three days.
