I was very impressed with the service provided the staff, in particular with Faysal Tarik, Hotel Manager.
The Deluxe Double Room was somewhat small.
The night portier is a great guy that I had long discussion about turkish politics. The hotel location is great; close to the tram and all the sights.
Impossible to get a decent temperature during the night. With the air condition off it gets too hot and stuffy. With the air condition on it's gets to windy and chilly. And if you get the room toward the street on first floor the noise from the tram and people can intrusive. But a few stories up, no problem. Sound isolation towards the hall is also absent but each floor isn't that big so there aren't that many people passing by.
Location, location, location Staff were helpful and friendly
Very close to the tramway (Gülhane) so it's easy to travel trough the city. Main attractions reachable by foot. Friendly staff. Nice room.
Very hospitable personnel, comfortable location for sightseeing, cosy rooms.
Very well located. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Nice bathrooms. Rooms fairly soundproof considering location. Great to have kettle in room and small fridge. Coffee and tea replenished daily. Room serviced daily. Decent wifi on first floor. Responsive to requests.
Dining room in basement is odd. Painted a very shocking pink! The roof garden seems to be under construction. Would be a lovely area for chilling. Moved to 5th floor and no wifi there. Also had strange sulphur smell that permeated room on day we checked out? An Istanbul thing?
very very helpfull staff
Facilities basic No Iron
The location is quiet good - 10 minute walk to the historical center
The air conditioning was not functioning, it was stinking in the room, the bathroom needs renovation, there is no safe deposit, there are no flat sheets
Bed and location. The top management did care and took note of the problems. Receptionist helpful in arranging taxi and airport transfer and drop.
Toilet was smelly on all rooms. No one except the receptionist could speak English. Breakfast very basic mostly Greek. Tea and coffee tasted bad. Lighting in bathroom was not good. No Complimentary water. WiFi slow and great difficulty accessing it.
Great location. Close to main tourist and restaurant attractions (just 5 minutes walk to Haghia Sophia, Cisterns, Topkapi Palace; 15 minutes walk to Grand Bazar and Spice Bazar). Size of rooms OK, with big balcony windows. Variety of breakfest's choice was rather ok: - fresh bread (three types); - two types of cheese; - scrambled eggs; - boiled eggs; - sliced meat; - chocolate cream for bread; - three types of milk cereals; - tea/coffee/juices.
Small disadvantage: Each time only one and the same type of sliced meat for breakfast.
i love the hotel .the staff was very helpful and they speak multi language specially faysal the wifi very good and the room clean and the breakfast very nice i suggest to make use of the roof & implement a proper terrace with respect to view & comfort
The comfort was remarkable. Stones throw away from all the historical places.
Iron facility like other hotels should be available in guest rooms. Breakfst menu need to be revised and it should be monitered by the admin staff...
wi-fi connection is very difficult in the room
Quick response from staff. Location. Cleanliness.
The location is in matchable. Stones throw away from historical places. Among staff Rajab is an extetemely friendly and helpful.
The breakfast should ve more variety and need to be changed on alternate day.like other hotels provision of iron should be must on demand in guest rooms.
Location; walking distance from both Galata Bridge and Old city centre. Surrounded by attractions and the area itself is very lively.
The staff were lovely but this place was not value for money. The bathroom smelled, the floors were dirty, the breakfast room and food were average. The fridge and TV did not work, the kettle had no plug, there was no baby bed as requested. All very average and did not reflect the price we paid. Friends stayed around the corner in a much nicer, more clean place for less.
Verry good location, large room, helpful staff
Not the cleanest, but ok; Some difficulties with the hot water; Half of the light bulbs where burnt; The window was "somehow unstable"
If you are into tourist areas then this is the palce for you. Right in the tourist part of the City.
Car access impossible due to Istanbul urbanization scheme
Everything was perfect. And Mr Ali at the reception was so helpful and kind. We really appreciate all his help. Thanks Mr Ali!!!
the position of the hotel breakfast the comfort in the bedroom
the hotel is situated between the other hotels and buildings, so there is no special view from the window, but if you like watching people walking through the rush street between the cafe´s, restaurants and shops (as do I), you will like it
Good location. Staff helpful and friendly. Hamam next door. Faysal Taruk at reception went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable.
building work next door. Noisy if you want to relax during the day.
Wifi would not work on my notebook for some reason..Can't beat it for location in the old city..
Construction on the building next door, is obnoxious if you spend any time in the day in the room.
I like the stuff and Mr. Faisal at the receipt ion and I've meet the hotel owner, the are very friendly.
The building next the hotel they are doing contstraction work and makin a real noise from 10:00 until 17:00, so it was hard some times to take a nap or relax after having lunch or coming back from the city
The location is great, really convinient for both sightseeing and shopping. The teapot in the room was a very good thing for us. Despite some trifles I would stay in this hotel again.
