This family-run guest house is situated in the heart of Selcuk with a classical building, surrounded by historical sites of the city.
Score from 130 reviews Very good
the situation and the grounds are fabulous. there are so many wonderful places to sit and relax. The absence of TV and the presence of classical music were superb features. breakfast was very good
the evening meal was disappointing.
Same as in my headline.
Nothing not to like!
Gorgeous scenery, chance to get away from hustle and bustle.
Loved the setting, the most accommodating staff, the elderflower juice, charming decor and the views! Wish we could have stayed longer!
Lovely location in a small hilltop village , just 30 minutes from Ephesus. Friendly staff ready to help you with any questions.
Great location, lovely food and delightful garden and views, relaxing but still close to walk to the village and to get the dolmus to Ephesus
The good: Absolutely romantic getaway in a perfect setting. The lovely village of Sirince is a must see in Turkey. And to experience it best, stay in gullu konaklari is a must. Panoramic vistas all around, this small property itself is worth spending a good amount of time inside. The basics are all in the place. It's an absolutely we'll maintained, clean property. Very friendly and helpful staff, and the breakfast they offer is also pretty neat. The rooms are moderately sized, premium but not overtly luxurious. The location is perfect, to experience Sirince. The whole property is very tastefully decorated and the olive trees and the rose garden within the property adds to the charm of a countryside house.
Thought was a bit pricey for everything it offers. My opinion is that it could have been 20% less price wise! but that's a personal perspective.
Property has a certain charm, a bit like a French vineyard property.
The village the hotel is located in is a tourist honeypot. At weekends it is packed with tourists, and there are quite a few on weekdays. It may once have been a charming village but now it is just filled with shops selling tourist tat. Any charm it once had had long since gone. There are few other hotels in the village. Guide books suggest it is the place to stay, so demand has pushed up the price of rooms. My advice is to give Sirince a miss.
The very best service... they make you feel as a very special guest. What a good staff! The breakfast, the food... so gooood. The hotel is so fancy, warm, elegant, silently and organized. Smells Delicious all around. We had a nice space (sharing) as in a house
The private room too small. We shared our room space with hotel staff... someone who smoked and open and close his door frequently.
Gullu Konaklari is an oasis of peace and tranquillity in the midst of a very picturesque traditionally Turkish mountain village. The perfect place for one to relax after a wonderful tour of Ephesus. The attention to detail makes one feel relaxed and at home .The staff are all very helpful and will endeavour to fulfil all you wishes. Many thanks to all the staff and look forward to a return visit.
Amazing location in Sirince, really nice and quiet, super garden and terrace to relax, play chess. Nice staff. Great breakfast, tasty dinner.
Standard rooms are tiny. Once you have showered, the bath room floor is completely wet.
Idyllic location with a great view, excellent grounds, superb food and drink and very attentive, friendly staff.
Could not have been better. We were sorry we only had two days here.
Manager made stay a pure pleasure. Grounds and room were terrific. You won't be disappointed.
Everything was wonderful even when the staff made a mistake with our dinner order. They truly want to make your stay a memorable one in the best possible way.
The hotel is located in Sirince, beautiful small village, near Selcuk. Beautiful location, beautiful gardens, very nice rooms and a good restaurant. Would have liked to stay longer. Really first class and highly recommended.
The hotel is nestled in the hilltop village of Sirince, Turkey. The hotel itself is very charming and the in a perfect location. It is short, but windy drive from Ephesus, and taxis are easy to come by. My room was lovely, and I had my own private patio overlooking a rose garden and the mountainside. I was traveling alone, and it was very comfortable staying there alone. I would recommend this hotel. The staff was also accommodating.
The only real negative about the place was the food. The hotel has a very attractive room where the guests are served breakfast and dinner. My dinner was terrible. The staff recommended the roast lamb, which I ordered. It was so tough, I could barely chew it (it tasted as though it had been over micro-waved because the texture of the meat was like cardboard). When asked whether I liked my meal, I explained that the meat was too tough to chew. The waiter said nothing and walked away. While the staff was accommodating, they were not necessarily welcoming. After staying in other upscale boutique hotels in Turkey, I would say that this staff was not great. But I would recommend the place - just not the food.
Dinner on the terrace with a wonderful view. Friendly and helpful staff.
The Sirince wine.
