We stayed at this hotel from August 20 until August 26. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Always ready to help and answers for all your needs and questions. The room that we had was just great :) Everything worked very well.. faucets, toilets, shower, AC. We were in room 205 if I remember correctly. The Garden area is also very good. You feel some quiet in the middle of the huge and busy city of Istanbul. It's great to go there and relax for a while. The breakfast which is serve there as well is also good and complete with diffent choices. The hotel is also well located in Sultanamet...close to Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia, etc. We had a great stay and we recommend this hotel. Pierre & Brigitte

The room did not correspond to the description in terms of surface and facilities : we booked a so called " deluxe junior suite" and got a double room. Rather than admitting it and proposing to adapt the price, the manager told us that in Turkey, the standards for a suite were different !!!

We stayed in Winter period: absolut satisfaction, great and quite location, helpfull stuff (the level of the servise in Istanbul generally, we find we hight). Check the supliers, the taxi driver (call from the hotel) asked for the tips for putting out the luggage from the car and do not wanted to give the exchange. I would suggest that the hotel stuff should arrange this for you (correct conditions) before entering to the taxi.

Convenient location in Sultanahmet, nice patio/lounge w/beverages, knowledgable staff, nice size for triple room, good A/C.Clean & nice bathroom. Also, via agreement with Booking.com, hotel management did not charge us for night missed due to Greek airline work strike. Not a problem for us, but you must be able to walk up to 4-5 flights of stairs plus some stairs to breakfast area.

The best thing about this hotel is the Manager who was very kind and attentive and always strived to "make you smile". The next best thing was the breakfast - but go as early as you can because when things are gone - they're gone. Of course there is always something but the best things go first. I really didn't like the breakfast staff who would take away your utensils and food if you left the table to get something. This was followed by a female receptionist who was rude and lacked any sense of customer service. I also didn't enjoy 2 mornings without hot water.

Great staff, very helpful. Hotel is well maintained. We enjoyed the special touches like the complimentary fruit basket and wine upon arrival. The hotel also has a lovely patio/terrace. We booked the economy package which was a ground floor room. However, we were given a fourth floor room which was a nice surprise. The hotel was very charming and a great value. The hotel is not barrier free nor handicapped accessible. There did not appear to be any elevators. We climbed the four floors to our room each day. This was not a problem for us but could be for some travelers.

The room and bathroom were well appointed and the bed comfortable. The decor of the room was good and everything worked, especially the excellent shower. It was good to have a laptop provided in the public area to check in online; and a nice touch was the provision of free fruit, pastries, water and soft drinks in the public area and complimentary fruit, wine and water in the room on arrival . Most of the staff were very helpful. The hotel is well situated - about 10 minutes walk to the Blue Mosque and 15 minutes from Aghia Sofia and Topkapi. The lobby and reception area is shabby, cramped and off-putting when you first arrive. One of the receptionists was very cold and unwelcoming. I booked and paid for a superior deluxe room, but it was described on arrival as a deluxe room. I questioned this, but was told by the cold receptionist that the two were the same. I have no way of knowing that I got what I paid for. The price of 189 Euros per night seemed on the high side for this quality of room, hotel and immediate vicinity. Perhaps 150- 160 Euros would have been more appropriate. A pity there was no fresh coffee for breakfast other than Turkish coffee!

Spacious, individually furnished rooms. Professional and friendly staff. Good location - near the main sites, but in a quiet area. Good buffet breakfast choices. Fresh fruit, tea and coffee always available. Cats roaming freely around the garden and dining room - sometimes on seats and tables (though there are so many cats in Istanbul, I suspect this is commonplace). Staff sometimes seen handling food without gloves or implements.

Had a great stay room was great as was the shower nice to have a nice warm shower, location was perfect could walk to most areas or hop onto a tram as the line was close to the hotel, not the best area to get food but again u could easily walk or take a tram to the eating areas. No lift but the hotel staff had not problems taking up our luggage to the room. All staff are friendly and helpful, they also have a are downstairs that you can help yourself to drinks (juice, water) and nibbles like cookies, dried fruits etc

The bedroom. The pillows were amazing! The bathroom was not really the same high standard as the bedroom, and there was a slight bad drains smell.

The hotel is very beautiful and cosy, the staff were very kind, polite and helpful. Breakfast was quite good as well: freshly made omelets (free of charge), bread, juices, cheeses, sausages, fruit, vegetables, butter, muesli, milk, tea, coffee, ... The a/c was working properly. We´ve got a small fruit basket, a bottle of water and a small bottle of wine on our arrival. There was a water kettle with tea bags and coffee in the room. The room was cleaned daily. The garden was very cute. The street is quiet. Snacks (olives, cake, tea, coffee, water, ...) were served daily between 10 and 22 (free of charge, except of wine) in the hotel lounge. Free internet connection in the room. Overall impression: good. We did not get the room we´ve booked (triple with garden view), but the alternative room was really lovely and had a Turkish bathroom, so we were satisfied. The location of the hotel is fair but it is not the best for baby strollers (or disabled because there is no elevator in the hotel) and it is situated on a slope. The street which leads to the Blue mosque and Aya Sofia is very slopy too. The hotel parking (in a very bad condition, no sign that it is actually a parking area...) is way too expensive, so we arranged a special price with the owner of the parking ground and payed directly 40 lira for 4 full days in advance. The walls between the rooms are very thin, therefore the hotel is not suitable for light sleepers. The baby cot was very uncomfortable, but there were quilts in the closet and we´ve solved the problem. Our bed was very hard, but it was ok. The internet connection was bad. There were only 2 kinds of bread (no wholemeal bread) and a toast bread at breakfast.

The hotel was fantastic. It was situated in a very central location in the heart of the old city. The staff were very friendly and attentive and we were treated to an upgrade in our room. It was such a quiet location considering we were in the centre of a city and 2 minutes walking distance from the main tourist area. The nattention to small details in the hotel made it such a fantastic experience for us.
