Score from 404 reviews Wonderful
Comfort of the room and bed, it is stylish, location is excellent - many tourist sites within easy reach on foot and tram, terrace room has an exceptional view making it a great place to relax,
Bedrooms need reading lights or lamps.
Amazing location right next to the Galata tower. Perfect for a tourist location close to all the touristy attractions. The staff where so helpful. Spoke fluent English and made sure everything was arranged perfectly! Breakfast overlooking the Bosphorus view was incredible! The New York interior brick walls with the black marble open shower bathrooms were really nicely done. All in all a great boutique hotel in the heart of the city!
The only minor inconvenience is that there is currently repair going on in the building next door's roof. Our room was on the 4th floor and I heard all the noise. I got woken up on a Saturday morning at 9am. I suggest asking for a room on the 1st/2nd or 3rd floor as it may be less noisy.
Breakfast - Only croissants, coffee and orange juice, Very Expensive Room Service, They lie that water in the mini bar is complimentary, but they charge me on my check out, no parking. Do not go there, waste of money!
The view is absolutely amazing
There is no sign on the outside of the building. It was difficult to find.
Very well-located and stylish small hotel with an excellent concierge, Ezgi Gunel, and a dreamy rooftop bar w/ city view where they served a great Turkish or continental breakfast every morning and drinks and dinner at night. Walking distance from many sights.
The stairwells were very dark, just lit with candles--romantic but a little difficult to navigate. Also, the shower had no walls and sprayed all over the bathroom so had to mop up afterwards. Small quibbles though--we loved it and would go back
Very nice hotel, very helpful staff, top location... A very nice Boutique Hotel that we highly can recommend!
Rooms on the street side and on the lower floors are bit dark!
Our stay was just wonderful, nothing to complain, very nice, cozy and romantic location in Istanbul!
Amazingly helpful and attentive staff, gorgeous rooms, better view (from seaside rooms and rooftop) and a fantastic location right next to Galata Tower that's walking distance to both Old City for the landmarks to the South and Beyoglu's nightlife just to the North. Seriously, we arrived and asked for early check-in and though they didn't have it available they sent us to the roof for a delicious complimentary breakfast and then let us in an hour later. The cleaning staff saw two water bottles next to our beds so the next day they put fresh bottles there instead of by the door. The day we left, they accommodated breakfast at 4am!! This is a true "boutique" - literally with no name or signs up front, only 20 rooms and a hip vibe (I should say hipster, really). They truly pay attention to every small detail and will go above and beyond to make you comfortable.
There was no full length mirror though the dark-mirror door served the purpose somewhat. Our shower broke once but they fixed it almost immediately. The dark, candlelit vibe of the place is reflected in the room.
The staffs are helpful and friendly, bravo for that Breakfast was ok.
1. The hotel is too dark, not for elderly or family with young children. You can get tripped in the room or worse still at stair case. 2. Not many taxi knows where the hotel is located , you might get frustrated especially after a shopping spree and need to climb a rather steep hill. 3. The swipe card for the room always problematic, although we kept the card away from hand phones, credit cards or other electronic gadgets. I booked two rooms and it happens to both rooms and we had to request for new card every time we want to get to the room. Worse scenario is when you are already tired and need to use the room, unable to unlock and have to go down the dark stairs to get it reactivated or change card.A very trying moment!
excellent staff, good design, perfect location, outstanding covered terrace (breakfast and bar) with magnificent view of the Old Town Hotel is located a 2-min walk from the Galata Tower with a roof-top view across the Golden Horn
low lighting everywhere, gives a nice ambiance for evenings but not as pleasant in day time.
French concept wooden floor Many Bar facilities
their wasn't show any sing or plate for name of hotel
Everything! Amazing staff, great location, fantastic hotel. Stay here to see and feel Istanbul at its best!
welcome beverages, breakfast, atmosphere
the bed was too softy for me, the glass doors don't make you really comfortable when you are in the toilet(there is a jaluzzi on the glass but it is not really closing the view %95)
very good welcome 5 stars room the terrace is wonderful
The terrace is amazing Staff perfect food AMAZING! Concierge in afternoon: SHE IS PERFECT, giving tips and helping the stay to be memorable
The concierge The location
My room was very close to the lift and front door.
Excellent room, quiet at night. Staff was great.
Restaurant was a bit too pricy.
The staff was fantastic and really helpful. The location is great both in terms of geographic position (within walking distance to popular sites) and neighbourhood, and the hotel as a lot of charm. Rooms are minimalistic in their decoration but manage to give a real cozy feeling. Especial attention to detail is paid in terms of products in the bathroom and when it comes to do the room. Overall a beautiful stay and a hotel I would recommend.
The design of the shower floods the bathroom and water could be a bit more hot at times. The TV is ok but movie channels would be appreciated. Finally although the hotel has a gorgeous view on the Bosphorus and breakfast is really good, the "night" restaurant is extremely expensive for the quality of the dishes served.
Location is great. Abut 300 feet from galata tower. Restaurant food and views Staff was very nice and helpful. Room decor was very nice and bed was comfortable.
Lighting, it's dark even with lights on, clearly a low wattage choice. Glass enclosed bathroom.although there is wooden blinds all around we found the privacy lacking. Clearly a choice for looks but with perplexing functionality.
Staff very helpfull and of good advice
Last moment discussion about our payment , 5 minutes before our departure. They claimed wrongly that we had something additional to pay but admitted 2 days later by mail that they had made an error.
Great breakfasts for free, some free items in the mini fridge, free welcome drink that can include expensive wine, comfy bed, good ocean view (on floor 2).
Some of the room hardware was warn and not properly fastened to the wall, expensive rates.
Breakfast and dinner room Staff Neighborhood
