Everything! Amazing staff, great location, fantastic hotel. Stay here to see and feel Istanbul at its best!
welcome beverages, breakfast, atmosphere
the bed was too softy for me, the glass doors don't make you really comfortable when you are in the toilet(there is a jaluzzi on the glass but it is not really closing the view %95)
very good welcome 5 stars room the terrace is wonderful
The terrace is amazing Staff perfect food AMAZING! Concierge in afternoon: SHE IS PERFECT, giving tips and helping the stay to be memorable
The concierge The location
My room was very close to the lift and front door.
Excellent room, quiet at night. Staff was great.
Restaurant was a bit too pricy.
The staff was fantastic and really helpful. The location is great both in terms of geographic position (within walking distance to popular sites) and neighbourhood, and the hotel as a lot of charm. Rooms are minimalistic in their decoration but manage to give a real cozy feeling. Especial attention to detail is paid in terms of products in the bathroom and when it comes to do the room. Overall a beautiful stay and a hotel I would recommend.
The design of the shower floods the bathroom and water could be a bit more hot at times. The TV is ok but movie channels would be appreciated. Finally although the hotel has a gorgeous view on the Bosphorus and breakfast is really good, the "night" restaurant is extremely expensive for the quality of the dishes served.
Location is great. Abut 300 feet from galata tower. Restaurant food and views Staff was very nice and helpful. Room decor was very nice and bed was comfortable.
Lighting, it's dark even with lights on, clearly a low wattage choice. Glass enclosed bathroom.although there is wooden blinds all around we found the privacy lacking. Clearly a choice for looks but with perplexing functionality.
Staff very helpfull and of good advice
Last moment discussion about our payment , 5 minutes before our departure. They claimed wrongly that we had something additional to pay but admitted 2 days later by mail that they had made an error.
Great breakfasts for free, some free items in the mini fridge, free welcome drink that can include expensive wine, comfy bed, good ocean view (on floor 2).
Some of the room hardware was warn and not properly fastened to the wall, expensive rates.
Breakfast and dinner room Staff Neighborhood
Shower water pressure and One of The days The hot water ended.
Clean. Nice restaurant at the roof. Unlimited time for breakfast. Silent
Small bathroom and closet. Bad located closet. )Should be turned 90 degrees angle.) No wardrobe, only hangers! Small space. Bathroom getting wet easily. No free car parking! Expensive.
Very nice atmosphere!
Staircase step very dark and a bit dificult to see!
Good for restaurants and sophisticated shops and bars. Centrally located for walking to many of the sites. Impeccable service. They could not do enough to help. Superb view of the Bosphorous. Best beds for comfortable night's sleep.
Food a bit pricey.
Great boutique hotel centrally located very close to the Galata tower. Staff were friendly and obliging, room was chic, spacious and clean. The cherry on the cake is the rooftop lounge where one can spend hours listening to lounge music whilst enjoying the nighttime view of the Bosphorus, Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque.
Not much to dislike really... sound does seem to travel through the building and common areas quit easily though.
Service fantastic, roof top restaurant and bar incredible, Rooms were lovely and peaceful, location was perfect. Cocktails were amazing.
The fact that we had to leave
Excellent location and tasty breakfast with nice view from the top floor.
Lighting was very bad that everywhere in this hotel was too dark in the evening. I could hardly see my self in the mirror and read books. In addition, the desk was so small that I could not work in my room.Noisy street in week-ends.
- view from room - staff
- hard to find at night, no sign on the front, nothing that indicates that this is a hotel, was not lighted at night, thought this hotel doesn't exist anymore. - bathroom (glass wall)
Loved it A-Z
We loved everything about this elegant little hotel, especially the fabulous rooftop terrace. The staff is wonderful, and Alex, the owner attends to the needs of the guests with a personal touch.
We loved everything about Georges! The best of the best is the view from the rooftop terrace. And the staff is wonderful, from reception to servers. It is a very elegant boutique hotel in an excellent location.
view staff location
Roof terrace (bar & restaurant) with fantastic view Upper comfy bed and pillows Quiet Very central location
Too dark even when dimmer at max in the room The glass wall bathroom
From the time we arrived at this hotel till we left 4 nights later the staff were very attentive. Our room was a very good size and the view was superb looking over the Bosphorous. We had our delicious breakfast each morning at the rooftop restaurant. Also a stunning view.
Not sure if a French restaurant is the best choice for the George. Food is ok but nothing special. Would have preferred a Turkish style menu.
