friendly staff good wifi nice & tasty breakfast metro 3 min walk
Lift does not work properly, in winter heating works via aircondition system, there are radiators but they are not functional. a construction site vis-a-vis (but it seams they will finisch soon) the bathroom is much too small
- Excellent view of the Bosphorous - Very friendly and co-operative staff. - Small and compact - Very close to public transport, within walking distance to ferries. - Family oriented hotel with no night club, disco or any 'naughty stuff'. - A spa and Turkish bath is just metres away.
- Very limited breakfast menu- we had the same things every day. - Restaurant works at breakfast time only. - Limited facilities.
Helpful Desk Staff. fair breakfast compared to the rate. Location.
Some staff open the room door without permision. Very Small Elevator with many breakdowns.
Location, staff was really helpfull-they speak fluent English, huge and tasty breakfast
very nice people, nice breakfast
The first night we were supposed to stay there was no room available...they provided a room at nearby hotel which was MUCH nicer and had a wonderful restaurant on the roof. Double bed was 2 twins pushed together. Shower was smaller than a phone booth.
Great place, surprisingly quiet
Noisy and not very polite room staff and waitresses
The bathroom was very small.
just the location
Solid location, quiet at night
small room, very small but clean bathroom, poor breakfast - eggs was the only alternative for sweet breakfast for five days
very friendly, nice breakfast
very very small bathroom, TV did not work
The rooms are very small and too dirty, bad smell coming out from the carpets and the bathrooms, we tried 2 rooms and it is the same. We had to open the windows to reduce the smell so we couldnt sleep because of the noise. There are no so closets so no place to put your bags. People mix a lot (and this what happened to us) between this 3 stars bad hotel and the same hotel name with 4 stars in the same area. So be careful guys.
Just the perfect location. Interesting walks from the hotel to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern, Grand Bazaar, Spice Market, Eminonu Ferry terminal and so much more. Very close to the Railway Station and tram stop with abundant shopping & restaurants nearby. Hotel staff are super helpful in problem solving even when incredibly busy (like when my Shuttle to the airport didn't arrive and they walked with me to a taxi stand and negotiated with a taxi driver for a set price fare). Breakfast has great variety. My room had lovely view across the Bosphorus.
A little confusing to get to by taxi as there are 2 Golden Horn Hotels in the area and you will be taken to the other one unless you are clear that you want "Golden Horn Istanbul" - by the Railway Station & overlooking the Bosphorus.
Very noisy neighbours even at 2.00 am.
The junior staff were excellent
This is the only hotel I have ever stayed in where you have to pay before they give you your key. This would not be a big deal except I was going to pay my bill with remaining TL on the last day of my trip. They will not give you more than 1 room key. This is an issue for a family of 3. The internet connection is terrible The floor manager tries to fleece everyone and book folks on tours where he receives a commission The facility only has 1 elevator that ONLY fits 2 people The place is terrible loud from guests The bathrooms are so small they are a joke. There is no where to put your supplies.
A very convenient location for tourist in terms of sites and services. A very good breakfast. All staff tried to be helpful. A good, usable lobby area.
The noise transfer between rooms is too high!
Great location, clean rooms and lobby, friendly staff, great breakfast selection
Didn't have a sheet in the room, just a rough blanket, no iron available for use.
Location, breakfast, wifi, helpful staff
Room was dirty aswell as floors, toilet seat & bed linen
I like the location of the hotel. Breakfast is also nice. If you like silent place, choose this hotel to stay.
The room for twin bed are very small.
One of the most beautiful hotel that i have stayed in İstanbul. We stayed as a couple and really enjoyed our stayed in there. Our room was on the top floor which is blue mosque and its was very quiet, comfortable, clean and nice.I must be saying stuff was very friendly and helpful. We would like to thank Mr. Ramazan and Erdoğan.Im sure you easily recognize them when you are check-in in with their cheerful face.I wish i had stay one more day in there.. Last think i hope that i can find same hospitality to our next trip.İm looking forward it
Staff were very helpful, particularly Talib and Rajib, were very good. Its is located close to Tram stations and within easily walking distance of main attractions. Cleanliness is great.
The shower rooms are too small. They need to organise themselves a bit better. If you speak to one member of staff, records arent updated and other keep asking you for proof etc. this can be embarassing as well as annoying. For instance, I booked airport tranafer and I paid all dues on arrival. Next day another member of staff asked if I paid for airport transfer. I told him that I paid all dues last night on arrival. Later he says I have not paid airport transfer and made me pay 25 euros. Again before deprture, I paid the transfer fee for airport again, but was twice asked for reciept.
The position. Good location, near all the places you should visit in Istanbul Good breakfast Clean
The hotel personnel not at all friendly The hotel doesn't have the view that it is shown on the booking.com site, only for the last floor Exactlly accros the Rail Station and therefore was a lot of traffic and noice
Location, view, breakfast and the friendliness of the staff. Will definitely stay there again if we go back to Istanbul.
Everything, great staff, great breakfast and most importantly, the room/hotel was near silent. As a light sleeper this is important to me. I'd go back there no problem.
There's more than one hotel called Golden Horn, make sure taxi takes you to right one. I was dropped off at wrong one. I didn't use hotels shuttle service as it was €40 and I found another company that did it for €20
I like the location, and the preake fast pofai.
Some boduy who is working there asked me to give him a tip.
