good location great breakfast friendly hosts
Family were very helpful & could not do enough for you. Wifi was good. Nothing flash about the place but all you need. Tea & coffee available in reception. Dad even washed our car before we left. Son organised our balloon flight which was great.
Cave room is small & is not a real cave but it was a cute make believe cave.
Nice and friendly pension in a stone house on Goreme's heights. The owners and reception girl are absolutely charming. Excellent fresh and tasty breakfast (typical Turkish breakfast + extras of the day, like pain perdu).
Everything at Goreme was excellent! My room was lovely and large, with a comfortable bed, nice bathroom with shower. The owners didn't speak English but did everything they could to communicate and make me feel at home, their son and their receptionist who spoke English were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was healthy and great! I loved the place and will definitely return for a longer holiday! They organised all my transfers and tours which were on time and good!
There was nothing that I didn't like!
The family running this place are lovely indeed. You would be warmly treated by inviting cuppa of tea and serving homemade food. Reception staff are professional as well as friendly. Absolutely unforgettable experience in Cappadocia
Have nothing to say...
- Location: 5 mins from the city center, far from touristic noise. - Owner very friendly and attentive - Quiet area for great sleeps during the night - Nice breakfast on the little terrace with a view.
- Rooms don't get cleaned during your stay, you make the bed yourself. - It's called cave hotel but I doubt the rooms are cave rooms.
Owner and staff are very nice and helpful. Clean room and good breakfast
Some of musts while being in Turkey: first - to come to Cappadocia, second - to stay in Goreme Mansion, and we can continue this list. But let us stop here on the second must. Goreme Mansion is a small family-run hotel. So if you want a home-like atmosphere, if you want to feel like staying with your relatives or true friends you are welcome here. Because Goreme Mansion is not a hotel, it's home. It's comfortable and calm here. They all - not employees or employer but members of the family - lavish attention and care on you. All of them - Ali, Emine, Cem and Bursha - are ready to help you in any way and make your stay cosy and convenient: tasty breakfasts (thanks to Emine), endless tea and coffee and grapes (thanks to Ali), promptly organised tours and excursions and all arrangements - balloons flight, ATM tour, oh, sunset point walking (thanks to Cem) and all everyday household settlement (thanks to Bursha). So you can see: this place is highly recommended!
We cannot remember anything we should mark with minus here.
The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The staff was very nice and warm and the breakfast so fresh and tasteful!
Nothing we didn't enjoy except the fact that the room was quite dark because of the lack of window (only one and giving onto the reception hall)
Service, meal, tour arrangements, room, ...everything!
People are very nice and breakfast delicious
The place is family-owned, authentic stone walls, very close to an excellent sunset / sunrise lookout point
Reception desk can be noisy if you stay downstairs; thick stone walls make Wifi signal very weak (but this seems to be a common problem in Goreme)
Cappadocia is a wonderful place, but staying in this hotel made it very special. This hotel is managed by a family, that is really kind and careful. We arrived in the early morning and the staff immediately gave us the room; they used to offer us turkish tea every time we came back from our tours, and to spend time talking with us. The room was a typical Goreme cave room, pretty, clean and fresh. The typical turkish breakfast was served in the terrace with a beautiful view of the Fairy Chimneys. Best place of our Turkey trip!
The staff was the best thing about the hotel. They were always willing to help, very friendly. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel.
Hotel is run by a family since a half year, they are trying to get more guest. Very warm family, you feel like at home. Gem the ballon driver spend time with you and is improving his english very staff. They hired a young lady for english speaking even if she is not really helpful in explaining what to do in Goreme.
Just the bill was an issue they claim for a cash payment in order to save money in commission.
It is a cave which is interesting since there's no windows for the outside and therefore no noise. Really close to the center, the staff was very nice and helpfull and even woke us at 5 a.m. to watch the balloon flights (the owner actually took us to the best spot to watch them and in his finest gesture language explained us how it worked). They sent us e-mails through which we booked 2 tours and the shuttles to and from the airport. Really nice breakfast on the terrace
Since it is a cave the ceilling and the walls are constantly droping small fragments which means the bedroom doesn't stay clean for very long. The window and the door were next to the reception desk so there was some noise in the morning
Staff very kind. Good breakfast.
The last day we had to leave very soon and we asked to have a breakfast early, but they forgot it and we left later.
Staff, room, wifi, breakfast, service, cleanliness, comfort
best family hotel!
highly recommended place to stay..lovely hospitality from both of the owners itself..delicious turkish orientated breakfast served..within walking distance to town..definitely worth the money to stay in!!!!
A warm family atmosphere. The old couple owners are so kind! Nice rooms and hearty breakfast. We was really happy to be there!
Everything about this hotel was absolutely wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting Ali and Emine, for whom no request was too much. The family-run business is so much more personal than a bigger chain; it was brilliant to have such a personalised service. We felt so important! We had some excellent experiences in Goreme - everyone seemed to know of Goreme Mansion and we met some lovely people. All recommendations for food and drink were lovely. Breakfast was wonderful - a traditional Turkish breakfast, complete with homemade jam and cheeses. Cay was on tap and the rooms were extremely comfortable, though bear in mind that the hotel is small and so if you're on the ground floor, you will quite possibly be woken early. The hotel is halfway up a hill that has some of the best views in Goreme. Close to Koy Evi restaurant, too. The hotel provide a chauffeur service to the local Whirling Dervish ceremony, which is quite cheap in comparison to tour companies. The hot air balloon rides are also cheaper, as Ali and Emine's family are all pilots! The WiFi was pretty weak, but who cares - you shouldn't be using it on holiday anyway!
Nothing at all - the stay was absolutely perfect. If you can get a room, do book here - you won't regret it.
Staff were really friendly and hospitable. They served a great breakfast and a traditional Turkish bbq on our last night there (with all the other guests). The Hotel was in a great location and easily accessible.
Our bedroom was opposite the reception desk. Sometimes it could get a little noisy. The heating was set too high and the bathroom / toilet was poorly ventilated. Some of these issues could have been resolved easily. However, we decided not to raise these issues with our hosts as it was too difficult to communicate with them in English. Despite this, I would probably stay at Goreme Mansion again as it is good value for money and our hosts were fantastic. I would probably just ask for a different room next time.
