we like everything in this hotel.location is very good.Rooms are neat and clean and comfortable. Thanks to staff savash, leyla, dennis, sadat, cesur, yusuf best regards amir sp
- Breakfast was fine - location is not bad for walking into the centre or taking the tram - staff was super-friendly - clean room
- Shower was leaking all over the bathroom floor - room is on the tiny side - it's a 3-star hotel really when you look at it from a European angle
excellent staff,nice breacfast
very poor WiFI
Very poor and unstable Wireless connection.
Breakfast was terrible, was hardly anything apart from salads
The excellent service rendered by the front office reception staff Mr. Yusuf from the time we arrived till we left... Daily Breakfast was sure a feast with good choices on offer... there Dinner buffet was also something to try out with peace & quiet around... Overall we enjoyed our stay & would recommend it to other as well... Quite central in terms of a visit to the Grand Bazaar & other heritage sites....
Actually nothing... other than to log-in wifi ever so often... maybe they can add one or two English TV channels besides BBC news...
Some of the staff were friendly
The room was tiny, we had to wait for two days before getting a better one. Cleaning was ok but not great. The hotel is definitely not a 4 stars and not worth the money it costs
The pool area with sauna and steam room was good, the family room was a good size.
Poor wi fi connection and a lack of information. Not many staff spoke English so getting information or directions was difficult.
view from the roof terrace during breakfast; tea or coffee making facilities
rooms too small, only one armchair, one bedside table for two; beds a bit uncomfortable (hard matress); indoor pool quite nice but staff unable to speak any other language than Russian (Georgia) except one male person who cood speak a little English but took his duty as a wellness person too literally, and we felt a bit unfree to just relax in the sauna and pool in our own pace: That´s why we went there only once, although paying for the facility for the whole stay, which was all in all not worth the money we paid. To sum up, I´d say there are better locations in nicer areas (e.g. Sultanamet)....
Roof top terrace good views.
Hotel for tour groups. Food left over from dinner appears at breakfast then at dinner again. Room dirty on check in. Staff just walk in room, did not knock.
breakfast was great with wonderful view from rooftop terrace
a lot of noise from the street
The view during breakfast
Rooms are very small and bathrooms are smaller than normal.
Wifi is very bad and air conditioning had a noise
Really it was an amazing hotel everything was excellent even staff they were so helpful specially yusuf , hatice and valeriya maybe the room was little bit small but it was comfortable if I came to istanbul one day of course this hotel would be my first choice
Hotel is really good with its facilities, pool, sauna, restaurant Staff was kind too
These were some problems with sink, something got stuck inside there so the water wasn`t going away well. Water from shower wasn`t going away very good. Breakfast could be a little bit better, more meat
Very good stuff.Specially I recommand Azra, Resul, Jusuf and Mahmut.
You need little bit a stronger wifi signal.
I have many times in Istanbul, but first time in Grand Washington. It was clean, the interior is beautiful, the staff is very professional. I strongly recommend it...
Staff were friendly. Location was good.
Swimming pool on top of the building is awesome. Nice spa center. Good breakfast in terrace restaurant with panoramic view. All areas are clean. Furniture, sanitary and other equipment are new and maintained well. Staff members were very kind and helpful to us.
We took family room for 4 quests. The room space isn't enough for comfort rest of 4 people. I recommend to take two doubles instead of one family. It's a little bit more expensive, but you will able to relax in comfort.
My first holiday to Istanbul was great because of two things, the city itself and the hotel. From the first day of planning our holiday ,Mr ozkan " the hotel manager" helped me to book the suitable rooms for 11 members of my family whom i haven't seen for several years. Every thing about the hotel was excellent , clean rooms, strong showers, flat TV with some Arabic channels ,fantastic and delicious breakfast buffet at the top level of the hotel, nice swimming pools ,friendly and helpful staff who could speak English and a bit of Arabic languages, and the most important and fantastic thing about the hotel is the location: we could reach most of the tourist's attractions on foot ( hagia sophia, the blue mosque, top cape , grand bazaar and the Bosphorus ) they are only between 7-25 minutes walking distance. I will certainly recommend the hotel to all my friends and relatives who wish to visit Istanbul , it was the best hotel choice for me. Finally , and on behalf of 11 members of my family ,I would like to thank all the receptionist and the hotel staff specially "Mr ozkan" for this wonderful residence.
The hotel was great! We received great service from Yusuf at reception. The kids loved the Wi-Fi which kept them occupied from time to time. The hygene and cleanliness was of a very high standard. The breakfast buffet was excellent! with a wide selection of fruits, yogurts, cheeses, breads and the restaurant staff were very friendly and efficient. The restaurant is on the 7th floor with lovely views across the city, very pleasant surroundings. We chose to try the hotel dinner buffet on a couple of occasions, the food was of a very high standard and with a different menu each night, very nice! We organised a Bosphorous cruise with the hotel, Valeria was very helpful with organising that. We were picked by a private bus and again dropped back to the hotel in the evening...a lovely day out! Thanks again Yusuf and all of the staff at Grand Washington!! We will definitely choose to come back again as Istanbul is a wonderful city!
There are lots of things which I liked about this hotel. Firstly , the location was better than what I was expecting, you can walk on foot and reach the most of the tourists attractions ( e.g. Grand bazaar , the Blue mosque , the bosphorus bridge and Hagia Sophia)within 10 - 25 minutes. Secondly , the breakfast was excellent .. Open buffet , lots of different varieties every day including all hot and cold drinks, cakes, and fruit. Thirdly , all the hotel staff were very helpful including the manager (Mr Ozkan ) and the receptionists, most of them could speak English and Arabic languages. And finally the rooms were clean and you could ask to change sheets . Therefore , I ended up extending my stay at this hotel for another several days and I'll be recommending it to all my friends and relatives who wish to travel to Istanbul.
The breakfast and staff on the roof was very nice
I did not like the amount of many paid that doesn't match with level of service , one of the reception staff was not smiling and tough in the way he speaks sometimes , the tea and Nescafé that used to be offered daily in the room in previous bookings , was not so this time, fridge was not cLean and smelly
Air-Condition doesn't work well, and the room is very hot, we call technical many times, but nothing to work well.
Good breakfast, comfortable bed, clean room. Helpful Ezra served to the pool area.
Great problems with the language.
