Score from 256 reviews Excellent
The location was excellent , staff were very polite and helpful.
The bathroom was a disaster, some towels are worn out and have stains from previous users.the toilet seat is unstable the entire seat dances left and right while sitting and the shower is rusted and cracked. matress is in extremely bad shape and causes back pain, we complained to the staff but they couldn't do anything about it. Room and bed are very small they can barely fit 2 persons, no safe, no complentary water,no mini bar, no sound proofing you can actually hear which kind of task you neighbors are doing in the bathroom. It is definitely not worth the price
Elina ( a receptionist from Kirgistan) and the young boy who helped us with the tickets were excellent! The others were friendly, too.
In the third day of our stay, we came late from shopping and the room was not cleaned at all by the cleaning lady! I was surprised but I did not react at all. The next day we were leaving early in the morning!
location is very good
i could here the live band and disco hear in my room till late at night..
Very good location, Very friendly and helpful staff, Rooms are clean,
Restaurant not available for breakfast, Very weak internet, Noisy air conditioning system, Weak acoustic insulation in my room where the emergency door is located.
It has not been my first stay there, so I knew that I could expect a very central location, clean comfortable rooms and very friendly staff. All in the very center of Beyoglu - and still you can ask for a calm room on one of the upper floors or towards the back of the building.
The staff, especially the day manager, were extremely helpful. The location is right in the center of everything,so expect noise at night.Room was smallish but adequate. AC worked well and you need it to close windows and block noise from the street below. The bed, as in most Turkish rooms, was pretty firm. All facilities very clean.Breakfast was also adequate but nothing special. Generally a very good value for this location.
It was a little to busy and noisy at night. I would have preferred to be a few blocks further from all the commotion. The higher up you are the quieter it will be. Some single rooms in the middle of the floor have no window. The elevator starts on floor 2 so you always need to walk up. The elevator door also slams the room wall adjacent on each floor, they should to put a cushion or door stop to prevent the door banging walls at all hours of the night.
The front rooms are a bit noisy at night because there are night clubs every night.
1 minute walk to Istiklal street. Max 10 minute walk to metro and Taksim square. Breakfast was good and varied. Staff very friendly. Rooms cleaned daily.
Room walls not sound proof. You can hear other guests talking outside the room or in the adjacent rooms. Music from pubs at night. But if u close the window or in a room the opposite side of the street, sound is minimized.
I would like to thanks All the staff in the hotel specially the Manager Mr.Faisal he is nice very help full man Would like to thanks Mohammed and congratulate your engagement . Thanks Alot For All
We would not have survived there if it wasn't for a young man named Cuneyt. He took care of everything we requested of him with genuine care and kindness. We wanted to leave the next night, but we're concerned about getting a refund for the temaining 8 nights.
Everything. Too manny people and too noisy for older folks like us. Room cleaning spotty at best, gray and dingy towels most days, malfunctioning lights in the hall, paper thin walls, very noisy hotel guests, noisy wooden doors that were difficult to close. I, who is born in Turkey and speak fluent Turkish, made a very poor choice. Once you get through the masses to Taks square, very convenient to the Metro; the only plus.
The hotel was near Istiklal caddesi and it was easy to go everywhere from the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Cleaning ladies kept our room very clean (though we had a lot of stuff with us). From the hotel there is transportation from and to the airport, which was a good thing. Breakfast was good! Nice visit, I recommend!
Because hotel was near Istiklal, there was quite noisy especially during the night. In the hotel there wasnt noise, but if you live in the middle of Istanbul, there is noise, of course.
Location and staff are excellent. the room was clean with decent furniture.
During the night are known to be noisy due to the nearby clubs.
Room facilities good, the owner is very good initiative to help put luggage, very warm. The room is actually not very noisy, you can sleep well at night
single room is very small, double room is much better.
Very very good staff and helpful Good Location very near to Esteklal street, metro and taksim. Breakfast good
Street Very noisy in the night
Location close to Metro and istiklal street.
We booked a twin bed, got a double bed for first night were told that the next day they would change the room. Changing the room, the guy literelly went into someone else's room (our new room), took all his stuff without him being there nor was he notified, and moved them to our old room! Loud music from clubs right next to room, some might not be able to sleep! Hot water was not always available! Showers are not stable and cant really shower comfortably. Closet was too close to the bed we couldn't really open the closet doors! Room service did not always clean the room, mainly doing the beds but no cleaning. We paid around 83$ a night for 2 people, a bigger room for 4 people was offered by them to tourists at the reception for 90$ a night as we stood by the reception! Also i asked to pay in cash at the hotel, i offered to pay when i got there, the said i can pay the next day, next day i found out that the automatically charged my credit card that i only gave to booking.com, without my permission!
GREAT location Great stuff Thank you
Small room Small bathroom A lot of Nightclubs in the same street, so you will not sleep before 4 AM, actually its could be nice thing for some people. Hot water, Will not last long your shower! Poor breakfast But i love the place
Wifi signal very good Good air con/heater.
The location is Taksim so u must expect noise, but theres a very loud nightclub opposite. The noise is horrendous til 5am!! This ruined my stay in Istanbul as I couldn't sleep u til such time as it stopped. Poorly maintained facilities Bathroom: toilet wobbled, basin tap broken, hand held shower head, hot water for 4mins, no water at all between 10pm-1am everyday. Bed: very hard & not comfy. No blankets only a sheet!! Staff: not good English - a little too friendly.... At the price paid I expected much more. Big FAIL
Location, cleanliness and service. I strongly advise the grand palmiye hotel any time you visit istanbul its very near to istiklal street less than 1 minute and 5 minutes to the famous takssim square
Overall very nice, quality place. Slightly loud at night because of the location so ear plugs are recommended.
The hotel in the center of Taksim and very friendly staff I'll go again :)
The location is good for night life and it is very close to estiqlal street also the staff were very kind
This hotel not good for families with children regards to night life and bars so you can not sleep because the loud of music
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
This is an amazing location right int he middle of the bars, clubs, restaurants, and nightlife in general. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, we had a little trouble communicating as we don't speak the native tongue. Overall a great place for the money - it is also easy to get to the old city to see historical sites & mosques. If you are generally younger and enjoy nightlife - this is a great place and highly recommended.
Part of the reality of staying in a location that is in the middle of the nightlife is that your room because a mini club, even when attempting to sleep. While the location is great for nightlife and getting to historical areas, it is incredibly noisy and you hear club music very clearly in your room. If you prefer not to be out at night, this is probably not the neighborhood you want to be in.
