Many things, but top of the list was the friendliness of the staff, which exceeded even the superb hospitality we experienced all round Turkey. For us it was perfect. |

The location is good and all in all the room and hotel were comfortable and clean so can't complain really. make sure you get to breakfast early as they tend to run out of things closer to 9.30-10am. |

The Hotel was a short distance from the Bus station and also a short easy walk to the Esplanade and shopping areas. İt was hard to find and breakfast was too late at 8.30am. İf you were up early, you were locked in and had to wait until somebody turned up. |

Hotel staff was very friendly and caring. We are two elderly women with health problems and we were treated with sensitivity and warmth. Location is deceptive, the entrance is on a busy little street, five minutes from the beach, but the rooms are facing mountains and large beautiful quiet garden. It is a quiet clean place, modest but perfect for the money. In general, I did not like the beach with restaurants almost at the water. There is no place to change after swimming. But probably for younger people it is less of a problem. |

This is a cozy pension with a great localization and optimum quality/price ratio. The concierge, Mr. Mehmet, is a professional that will not save efforts in making your stay very enjoyable. He was of great help, advising on the best places to eat, places to visit, booking services in the city and as interface to other Turkish services we booked. We had a towel that seemed to be cleaned but had a small bug. Mr. Mehmet immediately replaced it. Although in a central location, the pension is somewhat difficult to find. For reference, the solution is go to the bus station and contact Mr. Mehmet for directions. |

Hotel is located near the centre of Bodrum, it is very-very cheap, breakfast is in classic Greece style: fresh cheese? bread and vegetables. The noise was really irritatin, all that you say in you room can hear all the hotel. I can not sleep because of bird outside, that decide to sing at 5 oclock.They really need to change windows and doors. |

Hotel Gulec was perfectly situated wiin Bodrum, close to facilities but also quiet at night. The garden was very relaxing to sit in in during the day and early evening. The 'closing' time of 2 am was a little tight and we did not alway meet the deadline. As we went before the season started properly this could become a bigger problem later in the summer. |

A peaceful little spot just a short distance away from the commercial chaos of Bodrum's beach. Very basic breakfast (but you can hardly complain, given the room prices). |

The location wasfantastic - literally 5 minutes walk to the beach, bars, restaurants and bus station. The owners were charming and very helpful even peeling a freshly picked fig. A Turkish breakfast was included in the price it was delicious and plentiful and was eaten under a lime tree. Bliss. |
