We enjoyed the friendly, helpful staff and the awesome, central location. The garden really was a refuge in the heart of things.

We drove there. It was hard to find, along a narrow street with a small sign.

Charming family-runned hotel. Perfect location : in the heart of Bodrum. Beach, bus station, shops, restaurants, public parking area are within walking distance. The friendly boss certainly does his best for you to get the most out of Bodrum recommending great places. Service minded : ask & they help you. Although centrally located, the hotel has a big shadow-rich & relaxing garden (quite unique in a city centre !). Rooms very clean. Cooled drinks sold at market prices. Someone mentioned no hairdryer, but it was offered as soon as we booked in.

We read several remarks about the breakfast. We had no complaints, as we asked for some extra's (yoghurt & juice). It was served with a smile. Just ask & they accomodate your request. As an improvement point, a larger shower curtain to prevent water spilling out over the bathroom floor would be nice.

Hotel Gulec provides good value for money in the budget category. Rooms were basic and small but clean and comfortable. They have a pretty garden where breakfast is served each morning. Staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating and the hotel is located just a few minutes walk from the heart of Bodrum's beach front. Definitely good value for money.

We could have used some additional power sockets in our room (there were a total of two - one in the bedroom and one in the bathroom).

Fabulous hotel. The hotel is a hidden gem in Bodrum city. Having breakfast in the tangerine garden is just relaxing and peaceful The staff is helpful and really willing to make you comfortable. I was pleased with their restaurant recommendations,as well.

Location was central to everything, but managed to be quiet and tranquil in the garden setting. Family owners were all welcoming and very happy to offer help and guidance. Included breakfast was traditional and fresh.

Older style buildings. Bathroom had a few issues, toilet didn't always flush and shower temperature was a bit hit and miss.

The hotel staff are extremely helpful and friendly. They knew we had a long drive the next day, and actually packed sandwiches and bottled water for us. The rooms are basic, but clean and spacious. This hotel is only a five minute walk to the beachfront, an eight minute walk to the marina with excursion boats, and a ten minute walk to the castle. I highly recommend this hotel to others.

Perfect location. Exactly in the heart of Bodrum, everything, most importantly;the beach is in the walking distance. The friendly boss certainly does his best for you to get the most out of Bodrum recommending great places. In spite of the central location, there is no noise as the hotel is hidden in a big tangerine garden. Breakfast is sparse.

The Hotel Güleç Pansiyon is located in a quiet, narrow side-street quite close to the waterfront. Its staff is quite friendly and willing to help. The rooms are small and simple, but very neat. The air conditioning worked just fine. Really, you cn hardly go wrong with the Güleç Pansiyon if you're looking for an inexpensive but good-quality hotel.

Very close to the center of the town and Agean Sea.

The time of breakfast is too late. We had to skip the breakfast since we need to leave early for the next destination although we already paid for breakfast.

The other reviews describe perfectly what it was like to stay at the Hotel Gulec, so I won't repeat it other than saying we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, just not with a car. It's a family run place which was nice and we especially enjoyed Taufun, who we usually saw at the front desk. His English was really great, he was interested in chatting and had a good sense of humour (especially when he told us he'd move our car to a better spot when one opened as it had to be double parked on the tiny street) I joked with him saying he had better not ding it as he wasn't listed on the rental agreement as a "driver". The young girl, Hatega, was very sweet. She carried our suitcases and served all the breakfasts. Wow, talk about being run off her feet getting everyone's morning drink orders straight in Turkish, English, German and French that morning, as well as getting everyone's breakfasts out!!!! Super impressive!!! There must have been 12 tables outside in the garden and she appeared to be still learning the different languages!! Someone mentioned no hairdryer, well maybe they noticed that as she offered me one as soon as we booked in.

The one thing that we didn't like was the parking. We had a rental car for 2 weeks of our one month trip and so parking was important for us. We chose Gulec over another specifically because it said "private" parking (I double checked our email receipt while we were there). On Bookings.com it said you had to let them know you wanted a parking spot before you arrive, which we did, and we even got acknowledgement from the hotel. So, we were really surprised when we arrived on their tiny, one way street, that there was nowhere to park. It had been a super stressful drive in as we came from the north following the google map guide ... DON'T DO THAT as you end up arriving at Gulec just UP from the hotel on the one way street. Driving in is a breeze as long as you drive to the hotel from the main drag then turn north onto Gulec's street. Anyway, we arrived a bit harried and had no parking. The owner (who jokingly said he'd given our hotel room away... yes he can be a real card!) went out and pulled one of the metal poles out of the ground blocking a smaller side street and said to pull in there. We did so, although it blocked the street if it needed to be accessed and it wasn't a real parking spot, oh, well. The next day when we headed out to drive around the peninsula we asked Kemal, the owner, to save us a spot (ie, maybe put the pole back in for us?) and he was abrupt saying, "no way, I can't tell someone they can't park there!" So, when we arrived back later that afternoon, there really was nowhere to park. That's when Taufun, the desk boy, said to double park on the street, which was super narrow as is, and when a spot opened, he'd run out and move the car. So, as you can imagine, it was a little unnerving leaving our rental car sitting in the middle of the street.

We liked the quiet family environment. Close to bus station and town centre. I would be quite happy to recommend this hotel to friends and family, but I would also tell them of what they could expect in room size and facilities. Without a doubt we had a good time at the hotel.

Small challenge with booking but fortunately for us the hotel had kept a very small room in which we could stay if we arrived. There seemed to be some confusion becaue we changed the date to arrive 1 day earlier than original booking. They were able to change us to a larger room for 3 people the next day and gave us a bottle of wine to apologise. I really like this hotel as I've stayed before but even though I know their tarrif is very reasonable feel that they could add to visitor comfort by adding soap, shampoo and hair dryer in the bathrooms. Also, could they attach a larger shower curtain to prevent water spilling out over the bathroonm floor. As we were staying 5 nights we felt our larger room for 3 people was still quite small once suitcases were added. Maybe the hotel could give some thought to longer stay visitors. One or two nights would be fine but longer becomes quite difficult.

Perfect location right in the center of Bodrum, close to beaches, shopping, restaurants and clubs as well as walking distance from the bus station. It s central but very calm, situated in a smaller street. Rooms are spacious and clean and they were changing all the mattresses when we came! Breakfast simple and fresh.
