It was a nice hortel in a historical area. The rooms were really small, but had to learn, that everything is really small in Istanbul. Looking t the building thats normal there. It was clean, and neat. Breakfast is good. All together it was good. |

Hotel personal was very friendly and helpful. Location of hotel is excellent although they may be difficult to find at first but it is very easy once you know it. It is a fantastic location, easy to move. It would be better if they could change bed sheets more often |

The location that is close to the city and its main attractions, very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is also close to the city transport, restaurants and shopping. The view from the windows - a parking lot, some old and dirty buildings. |

Good location for the main sites however a very misleading photograph as the hotel is opposite a temporary carpark down a side street. This is a nightmare hotel for young children ( and the parents ). No cot. No highchair. light switches in the room 1m off the floor ( including the power card which allows the child to turn off the power to the room ). Locks to bedrooms impossible to secure from children opening and the same for the window ( it has a rail across it however ). The lift has a step infront of it making it difficult to get a pushchiar in the lift without 2 people........ |

Good location very near tram stop and important sights in Sultanahmet. Friendly and helpful staff. Good pressure and hot water in shower. Comfortable beds and selection of pillows. Decor in bedrooms depressing mainly due to poor lighting, no bedside reading lights. No hooks for towels etc. in bathroom. Exhorbitant charge for fresh orange juice at breakfast, poor coffee (Nescafe) |

Good location near touristic highlights and restaurants. Great roofterras with a view over the park and the sea and very quiet spot in the middle of the city. |

The staff were excellent. Although I booked this hotel on the day at a deep discount, this made no difference to the attention given us. Soner, the manager was a delight who assisted us with every request even to the extent of helping me chase up some visas for another country. Not so much didn't like but slightly annoying was the airconditioning that wouldn't send out cool air and the wall shower fitting that needed repair making showering a little bit of a juggling act. These were minor hassles compared to teh comfort and care we received though. |

The staff was very polite and they all speak English which is great because it is not often the case. The hotel is very clean, breakfast is not so rich but is fresh. The location is very good, you are near to Blue mosque and Aia sofia but still hidden from the big mess of tourists. There is no swimming pool in the hotel and you can't use sauna free of charge if you don't take the massage also. The price for the whole package is more or less 40 euros depending on the type of massage. |

The location is excellent close to light tram station. Good reachable from the airport by the metro then the tram. I did not like that the room was too small and as most hotel in Istanbul, the black out doesnot make the room completely dark, but it allow the light to come on about 30 % which was not comfortable to me. |

It is cozy, feels like a home, the staff members are all very helpful, entertaining, dear people. We felt 'looked after'. The breakfast was abundant with a variety of food. The lifts fast and clean. Not expensive for the excellent location. Public transport a few meters sway.A very good choice to enjoy the stunning beauty of Istanbul! |

I use to travel several times per year in different countries, among others Turkey. We like so much the turkish culture and its exceptional hospitality. We usually stay in charming hotels and we just staid in Istanbul in gulhanepark hotel, located close to the historical area of Istanbul and not far (within 15 minutes) from the modern area Taksim thanks to the tram. This hotel is far and away the most comfortable and the most friendly I have till yet visited. All was perfect : cleanliness, food, breakfast, room, frontdesk, service and warmest wellcome. The extras and meals prices are very moderate regarding to the quality. I can recommend it without any hesitancy. Thanks to Mr.Sonir. |

The staff are very accomodating --- good customer service. The location is excellent -- so near the tram, near the tourist attractions, near many souvenir shops. I agree with the other reviews, the stay in Gulhanepark Hotel is real value for your money. The furnishing of the room is very nice, modern style. Hotel is new, I believe that, so facilities is good. Free wifi. We enjoyed our stay! We wish the best of success to this hotel and have already recommended it to friends. Thanks to management... |
