Location, site, the owners, the food, the garden....well, everyting really :-)
- renewed rooms - big garden area with very nice places to sit and relax - also a restaurant - helpful staff
- no AC, but not to hot in summer
Peaceful and quite place in a green garden, very clean place, a perfect team managing the facility, friendly and nice staff, definetly you will enjoy every second of your stay in Han Garden ; pleasant moments under the big walnut tree, tasteful breakfast under the trees, lazy minutes near the poolside ; small pool but enough to make yourself relax. If you like to complain, that place does not fit to you, you will not find anything to complain so you will be stressed :)
See our previous review for details - we prolonged our stay here as we loved it so much
The best option if you have your own car - you escape the busy Olu Deniz and can go to little beaches around Kayakoy as well. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing. The whole garden was beautifully set up - many places to chill with different seats and cousions. The pool was always nice and clean. The bungalow was very quiet, the rooms inside of the building little less as people need to bang their door to close them as there is a knob, but not too bad. If you order a salad in the summer time they go and pick the veggies from the garden, awesome! Kayakoy is a small beautiful village. Make sure to go to eat to Blue Butterfly - very friendly staff and for a romantic /upmarket dinner to Izela - amazing food and location - worth every TL we spent there.
That we needed to leave... ;-)
- Friendly and warm personnel - Location - Concept and size (rather small and personalized experience) - Welcome with nice "cay" tea - Garden is just beautiful and peaceful - "Cok", the little dog - Weather - Kayaköy is a peaceful small town with the amazing abandoned old greek town on the hill - Perfect place to chill out, do hiking, go to the sea, have nice turkish food - Breakfast was fantastic, turkish cheeses are never wrong!
Friendly, helpful owners. Excellent fresh breakfast in the morning. Lovely, chilled out vibe in the seating area. Kaya is a quiet peaceful little village close to, but far enough away from the busy resort and beach of Oludeniz. Great to have a little pool as well. There's a tough but worthwhile walk to Oludeniz beach (about 8km) with superb views.... Some good alternatives to eat out in Kaya as well. All in all, a wonderful little place to stay.
Taxis from Fethiye are overpriced - get the dolmus...
We spent two weeks and a half in Turkey and we slept in quite a few beautiful hotels, but I have to say that Han Garden was truly the best one. Gülden, Özgür and Billy are wonderful hosts and we are missing them so much...! Before reaching the south-western area of Turkey, we were not that sure that choosing Kayaköy as destination was the best choice. The town is on a hill and you don't have a direct view on the sea. But despite this is much more authentic than the close towns of Fethiye and Ölüdeniz, that we perceived as really turistic and overcrowded. Kayaköy is a rural town with some restaurants and a few pubs and markets, and with a car you can easily reach all the beaches around (by walking it takes at least 30 mins - but as alternative there is a dolmus connecting Kayaköy to the other towns). If you look for the most natural and isolated beaches (but still easy to reach) the guys will reveal you all the secrets of the area. Talking about Han Garden, the rooms are big, clean and comfortable, but you can also sleep in bungalows or bring your tent. The garden itself is huge and full of fruit trees (as we were there in the good season, they were always telling us to catch some cherries before leaving the garden), plants, vegetables and sofas everywhere. From the swimming pool -- always super clean - you also have a view on the abandoned Greek houses, important part of the history of Kayaköy. The breakfast is amazing, mostly made of home products (as vegetables, jams, fruits, eggs, spices...) and prepared in a few minutes whenever you wake up. However, the most beautiful thing is that we felt at home from the very first time, and that when you are there, after breakfast, you don't actually feel like leaving the garden and you take all your time before moving up and go to the beach. We enjoyed a lot listening to the stories and tips of Gülden, Özgür and their friends passing by to chill out on a sofa or to drink a tea and eat some fruits.
Everything!!! This really is a special place with lovely Hosts Gulden her husband Uzgur and Billy the chef who cooks some fine food!! Private swimming pool the best turkish breakfast in the area.( And lunch and dinner all fresh local produce) a special place to take time out and unwind and chill!! Great relaxing music.. We really can not fault this place we go back everytime we are in Turkey which is at least twice a year... Recommended x
Having to leave!!!!!!
Han Garden is a little slice of heaven ~ a beautiful, tranquil, rural retreat surrounded by breathtaking mountain views. My husband & I spent two nights at Han with our 2 year old son last week. Our choice of the 'log cabin' accommodation was just perfect & added to the sense of 'adventure' for our little boy. The log cabins are spotlessly clean & comfortable with en suite bathroom & a lovely balcony. Many thanks to Guldan & her husband, not forgetting 'Billy' the chef, for spoiling us with the most delicious (& huge!) breakfasts. We are a vegetarian family & the locally sourced, fresh, natural produce was sublime. Han is the perfect base for walking or horseriding, the local 'dolmush' (minibus) picks up every 30 minutes should you wish to explore the local towns & villages. Such incredibly good value for money, we will certainly stay at Han Garden again as soon as we can! ***A word of warning to fellow travellers DO NOT stay at Muzzys Place in Kayakoy, we went there after Han & were forced to pay over £200 for two nights! Horrible!!!!
So glad I decided to stay in Kayakoy, and in this lovely hotel. Far from the mass tourism, but conveniently close to brilliant walks and secluded beaches. Set in a beautiful garden, our bungalow was cozy and full of character. The owner is very knowledgeable about the area, and helped us with lots of different recommendations on things to do. The breakfast, served in the garden, is fresh from the owner's garden and was truly delicious. We miss Han Garden already, thank you for the wonderful stay!
Han has a beautiful, huge garden where you can relax in a peaceful, calm atmosphere and the food they serve is delicious. The owners are friendly and they make you feel at home. It's just the right place for those looking for a natural, enjoyful environment.
