I liked the location - only 4 minutes away from the Blue Mosque and Sofia. View from the breakfast hall was really good. The window in my room opened itself every 30min! That was really annoying because the cold came inside the room during night. And when I came back after city-visit the window, of course, was open all day long! The pictures lie and the rooms are not as big and bright as they seem.

The hotel is located 100 metres from the Blue Mosque, the staff is very friendly and helpfull, price is quite reasonable even for high season (we were staying at Christmas holidays) Very small room, breakfast is served at the next building (the hotel owned by the same owner); there is no "tea set" in the room, only at the ground floor

Hotel is located near to the blue mosque. We had luck that our room had view on the bleu mosque side. Our room was inside of appartment with a small kitchen where one has a possibility to cook. Room was in another building which is about 20m from hotel. The breakfast is in another hotel (the view on the webside comes from there not from Hippodrome). Confusion since there are at least 3 different buildings. We received false information from hotel staff. We wanted to book 2 additional nights but a receptionist told us that first in the morning he can tell us wheather he has a free room. In the morning there were available rooms over booking.com but the price was 10 EUR higher. The receptionist requested however 20 EUR more per night. When we told him that booking.com price is lower and we will book over internet the price on booking.com grew 30 EUR. Finally we decided to change hotel.

I love the Ottoman style. The best I like about this hotel is the hotel staff. They are very helpful. Especially my favorite "Zamir" who madeour first trip to Istanbul special. Only one very little thing, there should be provided the electric water boiler inorder for the guest like me to have hot water making before bed tea after come back from the freezy outdoor walk.

The bed was comfortable, the room large. The room was warm, despite the blizzard outside. We stayed in the Azade Suites, opposite the Hippodrome hotel. We had a basement suite, very comfortable and well appointed. My only complaint was the noise from the reception desk, which was directly above our room.

During my 5 nights stay at the hotel, I was very happy because the staff was very friendly specially Mr Samir he is one of the best & very Kind. even the hotel manager was very good as well. they makes you feel at home. The hotel is quiet & nice, very clean. the only problem you can hear other guest talking in the other rooms talking. The breakfast super good but I have to walk to opposite hotel which owned by the same owner which is not a big deal just few meters away. The hotel located in a very good location, the hotel near all the tourist attraction, 5 minutes walk to Blue mosque and aya Sophia. 5 minutes to the train station, as well near the sea. I really advise people to stay at the hotel.

It"s very near to all important historical monuments of Istanbul and near to tram. Last day they changed us room, and sent us to another building of the same hotel. The room was unbelievably small and under the road- a kind of basement. Two persons cannot move at the same time inside the room! We paid for this cage same price like the very nice terrace room we had in the other building previous days! And it was la low tourist season, imagine what happens in high tourist season!!! When we complaint they said there was no other room and one free normal room costs 100 Euro per day!

Very near (5 minutes walking) to Sulanahmet Camii and Hagia Sofia. The reception man (mr. Samir) is very helpful. The hotel is clean. We were given a family room(for 4 persons) instead of a triple, as booked and paid for. But the first night there was no space in the hotel and were given two separated rooms in the hippodrome apartments (30 meters away, other building). It was anyway good and more than what strictly necessary for us, thus nothing to complaint.Apartment was clean. In general rooms are not large, but sufficient for the aim. Good and clean beds. Bathrooms satisfacting and as shown in booking .com. Breakfast served in other Hotel 30 mt away(Obelisk B.Western): the view from the terrace where breakfast is served is incomparable: Marmara sea, Hagia Sofia and Sultanahmet Camii for your photos and films. Really worth. The buffet breakfast is abundant and with great variety of things: from fresh and dry fruit to yogurt, cheeses, eggs, turkish specialities, sausages, salami, marmalades of different kinds, biscuits ,honey,a cake, tomatoes, juices and more. We would recommand this hotel to all who need the hotel just to sleep in confortable quiet rooms, clean, In the old center of the town, if not disturbed by the fact could be sent to an other building to sleep and for breakfast. Many restaurants in the nearby (2 minutes walking). Arasta Bazaar 4 minutes walking. Definitively we would stay again. Nothing negative . We just note the following: Hall very very small(but the hotel is small, so you should expect!) Breakfast in other building (for us totally acceptable, as very near). Rooms not big, but as shown in booking.com. A window of our room was not possible to be perfectly closed. Muezzin morning call :possible to be heard louder in the apartments, than from the room in Hippodrome hotel itself. It is not a defect of the hotel: it could disturb if you are not used, but it is the same in all Istanbul. Suggestion: if reaching the hotel with a taxi, may be the driver does not know (or pretends he does not know )where the hotel is: Prepare yourself with a detailed map of where the hotel is, well readable, or at least The name and address written in capitals letters and big carachters: pronunciation could be not understandable for the driver. Pay attention to the cost of transport indicated in the taxi: night tarif is no more existent, the cost starts from 2,70 tl. On . We have used taxi some times and 50% of the times found the driver has tried to ask more than what correct (or asking in tl what were other numbers appearing on the counter, or "forgetting to turn it on". If you ask before how much would be, be sure he will ask you at least double the correct price... All this is not fault of the hotel, of course: Samir does what he can to help you, but more than calling a ufficial taxi he can not do..

The location and staff were great at the hotel. The breakfast was wonderful even though you had to walk across the street to a co-owned hotel. The family room on the first level is right at street level. It can get noisy at night and the staff smokes right outside the room. If the window is cracked or open this can be a problem. The family rooms at the higher levels were much better. Not nearly as much noise.

Location is very close to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and other places in Sultanahmet area. The staffs are briliant, although there were only 2 persons that working along our stay in 5 nights. The restaurant for breakfast is located on roof top in another hotel operated by Best Western just across the street, with good view to the sea. The room is typical tiny rooms in European central districts, where we can hear sounds from another rooms. But it is reasonable, just be careful with our children activities inside the room.

Fabulous, friendly staff, an unbeatable location for sight-seeing, shopping and nights out coupled with clean, warm, nicely furnished rooms with modern bathrooms make this one of our favourite hotels... just got back from our 3rd stay here and will be going back.Great breakfast in the roof-top restaurant of a neighbouring hotel - amazing views. Highly recommended. The main building is fabulous for the price... the Apart Otel annexe is not!!!! We found it dated and a little shabby but only spent one night there before moving across the road to the main building. Other than that, there is nothing not to like

The staff was great. We would like to say that Samir went way beyond in helping us pick the best locations for dining and some excursions we went on. He undoubably saved us quite a bit of money and stress. We were cold the first night because we didn't know how to run the air conditioner/heater. I think it should have been demonstrated to us upon arrival. Although probably common in Europe it is not in the us. When booing the room I chose the 3 room family room but upon arrival was given a 2 room family room. Not a big deal but not what was booked according to booking.com website.

Very good hotel located close to the Blue Mosque. The staff was very helpful and kind on our arrival, as well as during our stay. Breakfast was excellent, with an assortment of typical Turkish food. Bedroom was large enough, quiet, seemingly tidy, beds were comfortable (separate beds) and the heating system worked properly. The only thing I would complain about is that breakfast is served at another hotel on the same street, a few steps away from the Hippodrome. It is no big deal, really, but not ideal.

The location is good, I can see the blue mosque from my window. Room is a bit small but comfortable.. Reception staff, Sameer is very attentive to our needs.. Great breakfast and great view!! Although breakfast is at another building.. There's an afternoon tea time as well at the hotel lobby bet. 3-5pm.. ;) The fact that we have to go to another building for breakfast.. Also, there wasn't any lift at our hotel, "Apart hippodrome"...

Actually the location and cleanliness of the rooms were quite good. We were dissapointed with the staffs. We came to the hotel at 7 am. They told us to take a walk while waiting for time to check in. When we came back at 3 pm, the staff told us that we were late, ang there were no 3 double rooms as we had ordered before ! So we got only 1 room at the building and 2 rooms at the other building ( 25 m away ). The other building has narrow entrance, narrow stairs and no elevator ! We refused . Then suddenly.... 3 double rooms were available. We thought the staff tried to cheat on us. They failed !

Great value for money. Clean and neat rooms with excellent service. It's a small boutique type hotel. Great location just behind Blue Mosque add a lot of value. High-speed wifi is free. Breakfast is good and also at 3-5pm it's tea time with some sweets, tea and coffee served in the lobby area. TV in the room is very small. In fact, we didn't use it, as we had internet. Putting bigger, better TV will increase overall comfort slightly.
