Score from 225 reviews Very good
Location is very good, facing Pazartekke station, easy access to both Sultanamet / Aya Sofia touristic area and Ataturk airport. Very good cafes nearby that serves good food for reasonable prices. Carrefour market is across the street.
Smell in the room that probably was generated from the cleaning staff. Weakness of Internet coverage in some areas
The location of the hotel is good,
the size of room is tight, where carpet lobby and room furniture is seem old
Rate is good, place is good. I want to thank the "bill boy" was working in Holiday Inn in Wed 24 Sep at night. He is excellent. I donot remember his name. But he is always smiling, very helpfull.
WiFi is bad
location is perfect near the tramway, breakfast is good, price.
the walls and carpet have dirt stains and the level of cleanness is so poor compared with other 5 stars hotels.
Great facilities you'd expect from an international chain. Ok location for the airport and Sultanhamet.
Staff is ok
Dusty rooms, slow elevator, poor breakfast,
Noise and voices from adjacent rooms easily heard, asking for room change is not easily entertained, one lift not working properly, not really like other 5 stars
Poor WiFi in the rooms
The location was perfect, within a 10 minute walk of three different metros and trams. The outdoor pool was clean (although small and very cold) and the courtyard with sunbeds was very relaxing. The suite we stayed in was perfect for our family, including a separate room with two twin beds for our kids. The breakfast was very good with a lot of hot and cold options.
The cleanliness of the room was very disappointing. We found an empty water bottle under the couch and a head massager behind the bedside table, hairs in the bathroom, etc. There were weddings booked around the pool every weekend evening, with incredibly loud and disruptive music that continued until 11:30pm. When we complained about the noise because our children couldn't fall asleep, we were told that they couldn't do anything about it. We were very disappointed that their priorities obviously weren't focused on their guests having a good night's sleep.
Close to the airport, 15 min by taxi.Tram station just outside the hotel. Good continental breakfast.
No view at all from the room. Very noisy on the weekends.
Above average in all services, the swimming pool is ok, the turkish hammam is good and the breakfast is average, people are ok here, better experience than 4 and 3 stars hotels with the same price.
Room service is knocking once then open like invasion, very strange event happen to me when booking, due to restrictions in my budjet in both credit card, i splitted my booking into two steps, when i finished booking the first three days, i failed to go to the other two days, saying fully booked!! Maybe it was a unique bad luck!!
tram station right near the hotel.
A bathroom and a room had a poor cleanliness.
staff managment and reafiness to help ..price and facilities are very nice ..
actually just some guests wewre noisy last night ..
Noise from wedding party
Reception and arrival,..pool,..spa freedom ,position,..in out,..room ,..and consideration of upgrade for members
Conditioning system not working easily ,..cost of breakfast ,..to much
Location easy access to trams which went to many tourist sites. Wifi was good. Room service meals were good but overpriced.
Ridiculous situation with the air con sooooo cold you really needed to turn it off altogether to survive in the room. No windows. The door to the balcony was locked permanently and I had to make big arguments to get them to unlock it. They would not leave me the key though so every time I went out I had to have them come to the room and unlock it again. Noise until 4am from the room next door with at least one entire family in it, sounded like several, they had their door into th hallway kept ajar (probably in an effort to contend with the uncontrollable aircon). Tv kept turning itself off every so often. Floor was really dirty. So that when I lay on the bed, the bed cover ended up with all black stuff on it from my slippers. Also the bathroom could have been cleaner. Sitting on the loo one could see up under the lip of the handbasin to all the bits of dirt the cleaner missed. The instructions for the safe were for a different kind of safe altogether so they didn't work and one had to have one of the staff come show you how to do it, which was difficult because they did not have very good english.
Not much of anything.
Could not get a table at breakfast, too crowded unless you get up at 7am and beat the rush. No bread, no eggs, everything wiped out. Rooms are small, hallway rugs are filthy, pool was dirty, all in all, pretty bad...
Buy an Istanbul kart and travel to all parts of the city on your own, using tram, bus, subway.
swimming pool was a bite small and there are a lot of kids there and also some kids were there by wearing shorts and t-shirt
Wifi not very stable
SPA-good massage prices and impressive staff. Pool area- it is a little bit small, they could increase 2meters wide, but it's breeze of fresh air compaired to the old city of istambul.
late check out- hotels should say from the beggining they dont allow late check out. I chose this hotel for my last night of stay since it's close to the airport, asked for late check out on reservation and on next day they said they were fully booked, altough there was room available on booking.
I've wrongly checked in for three days but then I discovered I had to check in for only two days because of my flight, and my reservation was nonrefundable, the reception crew helped me and they didn't charge a whole night. I was really astonished. Thank you so much holiday inn
Only the control of the AC
Good location, near tram station. Nice time at the pool.
Wouldn't rate it 5 *****. Room and bathroom extremely small. Poor sound insulation. Very expensive food.
Location to office
The pool was great but closed at 6pm.
The staff are cold and not very helpful. The prices in the cafe and resturant are very inflated.
