The staff were absolutely wonderful - they are 4-star all the way, excellent location and generally a great taste of Istanbul The rooms are showing their age (especially the bathroom) but otherwise everything was great |

The staff are very friendly and approachable eg, chef manager is extremely friendly and kind in serving his guests. Tries his best to make the stay of guests a pleasant one. Very comfortable, though we would like to suggest a better toilet. The mini bar was a great idea, but I think it would be better if mineral water was provided for free instead of being charged. |

Location is excellent, within walking distance to all major attractions around Sirkeci and Sultanahmet. Good breakfast spread, with a nice Bosphorus view. Staff were friendly and helpful. |

The breakfast was completely OK. The location was perfect just hanging around in the city. The price was correct. The noise just exactly near from the metro construction was horrible when the window was opened. But we got a bigger room then was booked. The hotel is a three star hotel not for. (Except the breakfast.) |

Convenient. Breakfast. Service. One thing I and some others missed was working WiFi. Luckily their lobby computer worked. I instructed few others how to do it as the otherwise helpful staff was clueless about computers. They were clueless also about how to connect credit card (or simply failed on purpose so that could charge slightly higher price in local currency, don't know). |

The reception was luxurious and the staff was very helpful. The room was adequate in size. There was no shampoo, no shower gel and no glasses in the room. When I asked for them, I was told that it is not the hotel policy to have shampoo and showergel in the rooms and was just given the glasses and told they only gave glasses on demand to make sure they were kept clean (the worst excuse in the history of lame excuses). The breakfast was diverse, but of average quality. All in all, a 3 star mediocre hotel with a 4 star reception area. |

The staff was very professional. Services and costs were as expected and as described during online booking. The family room was ok in general, with separeted children bedroom (with 2 single beds). But we can say that the room was a bit small, especially the shower cabine itself in the bathroom. |

Our room on the 5th floor was very new and spacious. The location was great for visiting all the main historical monuments and the hotel was only 5 mins walk from Sirkeci tram station. The walls are too thin. We stayed on the floor below the restaurant and we could clearly hear chairs being dragged about. There is construction going next to the hotel, right outside our room. They were working even at night. Personally, I didn't find the noise distributing. |

hotel staffs with fluent English and hospitality Hotel staffs (some of them) seemed lack of self-motivation. They don't offer help unless asked to. A little bit of more human touches/contact (beyond the operation manual) will make Ipek the perfect place to stay in Sultanahmet. |

I visited Istanbul this time with my partner. The hotel made our stay. Having been to Istabul before, I wanted a hotel that was closer to the sights - to avoid traffic delays and the problematic taxis. Hotel IPEKPALAS is not large and has a clean, comfortable and relaxed feeling. It is in easy walking distance of the Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Grand and Spice Bazaars, the main ferry terminals and lots of good restaurants. It is not pretentious and has lots of local character. It has an excellent terrace restaurant with an excellent bosphorus view. All the staff can communicate in English and some speak it very well. They were all very friendly and helpful. The guest relations manager was particularly helpful. |

We have just spent a glorious stay in the Hotel Ipek Palas. Had originally booked this hotel having seen the previous reviews on this website. The hotel really is as nice as the reviews say it is, nothing is ever too much trouble for any of the staff. We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we first stepped through the door. They certainly could not have been more helpful. The rooms are a nice size, although I am a small person. However, there is so much to see and do in Istanbul that you will spend very little time in the room. The breakfasts were some of the nicest that I have ever had in any hotel that I have ever stayed in. The location of the hotel was also superb as you are very close to all of the major sightseeing places. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to go to Istanbul and I personally cannot wait to go back. |

We recently stayed in the Hotel Ipek palas for four days and enjoyed the ambiance, the staff and the restaurant. Our room was big, tastefully decorated, and very comfortable, although we read small rooms in the hotel reviews.. We had a lot of fun with the night manager who was a great sport. The Padisah restaurant was a gem, with delicious, fresh food served with a marvellous bosphorus view. We would highly recommend it to anyone who does not want to stay in the impersonal hotels. |

Well situated, staff were very helpful and rooms were very clean. Breakfast was very good although I think fresh orange juice should be included and not just available at extra cost. Although the room was fine there was very little storage space. I small drawer (about 50x25x10cm) for a double room is just not enough! There was also 1 single wardrobe with just 4 coat hangers. There was a small table to put 1 case on but the other was on the floor and had to be walked around! I have said I would recomend this hotel ( see below) but only if storage was improved |

Just a short stroll from the Hagia Sophia Museum, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and Grand Bazaar, the 4-star Hotel Sapphire offers great services and free Wi-Fi. |
At this perfectly located hotel, you can enjoy your breakfast every morning while admiring the spectacular views of the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Bosphorus and Princess Islands. |
Situated in the heart of Istanbul's historic district, just steps from the Blue Mosque, Antis Hotel offers elegant accommodation and beautiful views of the Marmara Sea from its rooftop terrace. |
This elegant hotel has a classical Turkish design and is a great location for sightseeing. It is only a short walk from the Bosphorus and many of Istanbuls famous landmarks. |
