Very good position in the centre
Our non-smoking room contained strong smell of cigarete smoke. One evening only very hot water was flowing in the shower with no possibility of regulation. When leaving early to the airport there was no option how to get breakfast in spite of it was included in the price - at least package with sandwich would be appreciated.
Location, wifi and staff.
Nice location, nice people....
For breakfast only one and same salami three days. They can think about that....
This hotel is clean and comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful. Location is outstanding. I would stay here again.
My main complaint is the use of timers and motion detectors to control the lighting in the hall/stairways. I applaud this practice in theory but in this hotel I often had to walk a few steps down a spiral staircase in darkness and try to wave my leg in front of me to get the light to go on. Also bathroom was a bit cramped. I had to straddle the toilet to use the sink.Minor issues.
Staff was good. Hot choclate was good. Clean rooms
Washroom was small. Not a hot breakfast. Tv dish was useless because of language
Room cleaning and towels changing every day, very central location. There is tram stop nearby, shops and cafes.
We stayed in Istanbul in February and there was bad weather. It was cold in the room when we checked-in, they turn on heating at about 16-17.00 every day and at day time it's switched off. Bad smell in the bathroom and also very cold.
Good location, near Topkapi and mosques, Marmaray and Galata bridge. Great view from restorant terase. Rooms were worm and clean, not so big but if you are in Istanbul you want to be out not in room. Staff is pleasent and there to answere all your requests. We will came again definitly.
We were really early in the morning. It was cold and we were tired from travelling. Although checkin was in the afternoon, the staff tried to arrange a room for us anyway, and they succeeded to do so. We were so thankfull.
Not a real big deal, but the breakfast was in the other building of the Hotel.
Total impression: I will definitely stay here again, if I've got a chance. I rented a room in Hurriyet with booking discount and the price was really amazing - like 90 euros per 4 nights, it's low even for Istanbul. And for this money I had a really nice place - a tiny one, but nice, with all facilities included (from a hair-dryer to a safe and a fridge). LOCATION is AMAZING. Before this I stayed close to Divan-yolu (center of Sultanahmet) and in Kumkapi (south part of Sultanahmet). And Sirkeci is the better option. Very convenient to get from airport by metro\tram, easy access to boats (7 mins to Eminonu) and any part of the city. At the same time it's like 10-15 minutes walk to the Blue Mosque and Aya Sophia. STAFF was really nice too. At check-in I paid more for my room more then I needed (by mistake with booking and currency) and I even didn't notice this. But the next day administrator gave me back money and explained all the situation)) It was a nice surprise and a great honesty)) YOU NEED TO KNOW. People write in reviews that rooms are small, and that's absolutely true. In all budget hotels in Istanbul rooms will be very small, even if the information in your booking says otherwise. (ps you may have a big room in some 4-5 stars hotel, but it will be a pricey deal). In my room there was almost no free space at all, but a big and a comfy double bed (I asked for it). I don't know how the other rooms in this hotel look like. As I was travelling alone and booked the cheapest room, absence of free space wasn't a problem. I had what I paid for. BREAKFAST: lots of people write that breakfast was poor. I might say it's nice for the price. I stayed at two another hotels (with 8.5/10 rating on booking.com and more expensive prices, btw) and there was no breakfast included at all. Here you may see basic vegetables, sweets, two kinds of cheese, milk, muesli, yoghurt, eggs, etc. So it's simple but enough.
Very well situated! Close to the main tourist attractions on foot. Brilliant view of the Bosphorus from the terrace. Staff was caring. The cleaning service also very nice. Towels were changed every day.
Room redecorated but only superficially. In February it was freezing in the bathroom because of the window. The hairdryer was burnt (literally). There was one towel in the room for two people on the arrival (but we got another one when we asked for it)
terrace, breakfast and friendly cooperation.
The old side of the Hotel was re decorated as I had stayed in the new side before at first I was little bit iffy about it but our room was fine maybe new was paper or a paint instead but it was spotless clean staff are lovely and breakfast is perfect it's Turkish breakfast boiled eggs cheese tomatoe cucumber meats jams olives corn flakes juice water tea some sweet biscuits and cakes also help yourself plenty to fill your belly before a busy day in Istanbul
I didn't like how the blocked up yhe doorway to the new part of the hotel as we had to walk outside to come bk in to go up to the breakfast room but that is very minor
Location/staff+service is perfect. Fine breakfast on terrace with bosphorus view. Good wifi signal, no problem with interruptions or bandwidth (important for remote working people). Comfortable transfer with shuttle to airport is available.
Rooms clean but some of them really small (<12 m2). Poor meat range for breakfasts.
Location Price Staff
Location is perfect, staff very friendly and with good English knowledge. Rooms are clean, they were cleaning every day and always brought 4 new clean towels. Breakfast is also nice. We will come back sure on our next visit. I recommend it :)
The only not good thing is that rooms are smaller, but as we were out all day it was not so annoying :)
Location, price and staff
The location is really good, near to restaurants, tram station, sirkeci train station. The breakfast was OK. It's a good place to have the sea view from top of the building. It's basic but good enough for you to have a good rest with very reasonable price. Provided airport shuttle service with very reasonable pricing.
Wifi was OK but it was not working for 2 days out of my 4 days stay. Room is quite small and the wall is thin where you can hear the noise from the outside.
Good location, only 3 mins walk to the tram station. Nice staff and nice breakfast.
Wifi is not good enough.
The location is great, the staff is very friendly and helpful, so I wanna say "Thank you a lot" again. Our room was very nice although it was rather cold during the day time (dates of staying: 2nd Janury-7th January). We had a top-floor room and the view (Golden horn, Galata tower, etc) was great. The wardrobe was not big enough for two girls and their's piles of clothes but there were a fridge and a safe, so our staying was very comfortable. I should also mention everyday room cleaning, breakfasts on the terrace with a super view, russian-speaking nice personnel - everything was very good. The private transfer from the Ataturk airport and the bus shuttle to the Ataturk airport were good too, thank you.
The Only advantage of Hurriyet hotel is - location and thats it.
The owner of the hotel should pay attention to the old block of rooms. There he can find: riuned wall near window, covered by curtains. Burnt plastic cover of lamp in bathroom. Scratches on the wall all around. Leaks of water on the floor in bathroom. The worth value of money ever!
Excellant location. Staff very helpfull organising trips with great discounts. Breakfast was more than adequate.
