It is a centric hotel with friendly staff and confortable rooms.
Breakfest quite pure...
Situation was perfect, we really love to fly with Mustafa in hot air balloon, he is a realy good pilote. Wifi works in our room
Rooms need to be renovate a little bit.
The room was very nice, comfortable and bright, the staff "Osman" is súper friendly and helpful, also we took a hot air balloon flight with Mustafá, he was always worried about us, Good time there.
How would you rate a stay, when you booked a private room and you end up in a dorm completely full with other persons? Also (primarily the male) staff was extremly unfriendly - completly opposite of what you experience anywhere else in Turkey. Not any word of sorry! The breakfast was very basic. The facitilies are also very basic. No hot water, at least not in the morning. If you can avoid this pension and book another place.
We had a double and a single room, which were tiny but sufficiend. Bathroom is very tiny but everyting worked. Wifi everywhere (except for the first evening). Breakfast is standard basic on the terasse. Other guests were mostly backpackers. Unlike mentioned in some reviews, everything in was clean. Some of the staff are very nice, others seem to be a bit bugged from time to time.
The staff was super friendly and made their guests feel like they were welcome at all times. This was done in the form of complimentary tea and a rooftop cookout. Osman Toy, in particular, is a real stand out guy. And it's very cool to spend the night in a cave!
Shared toilets that were occasionally out of toilet paper. A little on the noisy side in the mornings.
-really nice backpackers' atmosphere, -situated not far away from center, -rooms in real caves ;)
-because our room was in the cave (no windows), it was a little airless and stuffy. While eating breakfast or having shower (we had room without bathroom), we left door a little opened to ventilate the room. And in such moment... somebody roobbed us!!!! (took about 100$ - all $ that we have prepared to exchange in the next stop of our trip). Most probably it was one of the guests, and we know that Ishtar hotel doesn't take resposibility for such behavior of their guests - anyway, it was a really dump moment of our stay in Cappadocia :(
- location is very comfortable - personnel was perfect and provided us with everything - transfer and all activities we wanted for a very good prices - beatiful view from the terrace
- shower was not very comfortable - weak breakfasts but you can take all you want with you to the breakfast
Breakfast on the roof terrace was excellent...nice view of the town. Staff was really friendly and willing to help you all the time. Our double room was clean and bed was comfy.
We didn't have wifi in our bedroom. No hot water early in the morning to have a shower.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Good location: very close to restaurants, shops, cafes, bars, bus stop. Breakfast on the terrace was good. We booked our hot air balloon flight with Mustafa, the owner of the hostel. A bit more expensive than other companies, but it was worth every penny! He took great care of us, let us maneuver the balloon a little, took us inside the balloon at the end. He was great! So if you're thinking about a flight over Cappadocia, you must definitely fly with him! :-)
free breakfast but the products are'nt fresh we had bed bugs that they did not treat and even if they offered us another room, no gesture was made the staff barely speaks english and the manager is a rude guy who doesn't speak to his customer at all
I think owner is japaness she is very kind first of all the best thing is that domitory is single bed not 2 floor bed.
really feel like staying in a cave, nothing i didnt like.
The staff are friendly and helpful. Cheap, great location, amazing view from the terrace where the breakfast was served.
Leaning floor in my private two bed room so I had to be careful in order not to roll down from my bed at night. I was feasted on by bedbugs I had in my bed.
Staff are friendly. The breakfast is really nice. Location is close to the otogar. The room price is economical.
The Breakfast is bad and not fresh, I get the food it was prepared the day before yesterday I think.
Cheap. Good location.
Not WIFI on rooms, only common areas. Poor breakfast.
Wifi was slow. Toilet was way too small. I couldn't even sit on the toilet without hitting my knees into the wall in front of me. Breakfast wasn't very nice.
All the hotel are located in roughly the same area. Location could therefore not be a relevant criteria though the only one I see. The young Japanese lady welcoming the guest is actually just here to sell hot air ballloon tour. But one must acknowledge she is really kind.
Cold attitude of the owner (Mustafa) who is a very good hot air balloon pilot though. We booked with him. Does not say thank you when handed a 260 euro enveloppe for the tour payment (2 people), but still worth booking with him (obviously very experienced). It is a bit of a reap off because for roughly the same price you can get a private bathroom and a much better room (elysee hotel was our favorite). Very poor breakfast.
the view and close to village
shower basin and toilet outside room could be a bit cleaner
Very friendly staff. It is a wonderful stay because of u. I will miss u all
Room and bathroom clean, 5 minutes walk from bus station. I didn't like anything else.
Staff didn't speak english, so comunication is really bad. I arrived very late and the staff was sleeping, and his atitude was not the best when I woke him up. The japanese girl sent me an email the night before telling me that the man would be sleeping and that I could do check in alone, but I didn't see the email because was sent too late. But I have to say she can speak english and was nice and helpful. Breakfast very poor. Wifi worked bad. One completed night wifi didn't work. Don't recommended. Search something else. Göreme has a lot of places to stay with same price.
Perfect location in the town centre, close to all nice restaurants and cafes.
It was quite dusty and dirty. The bathroom door was broken and it was impossible to close it from the room. The toilet was really smelly. There's no soundproof, you hear every guest talking, flushing their toilet and so on. In our room WiFi worked only occasionally.
Good view, excellent attentive service. Pleasant room and facilities.
when asked for directions we got very helpful instructions
pickup from Kayseri Airport was arranged but no driver was there when we arrived at fixed time. nobody apologized but instead they tried to charge as when arriving at even a higher price than agreed (shuttle arranged at airport with a free driver)
