Room is nice and quite interesting and very worm (winter time). Staff is always ready to assist and breakfast with a view is excelent.
Bathroom outside on a yard (without heating) for us quite cold (around 3°C). Shower is not seperated from toilet so it's little disgusting. Noise isolation is poor so if somebody checks inn during the night he could wake you up.
the room was inside a cave, but one of the best beds we have slept on. Breakfast on the terrace was delicious, just overlooking the city and being possible to watch the balloons at morning. Friendly staff, they welcomed us with a tea even if we arrived late night
Shower outside the room
Good situation Pretty full breakfast for the night price. Warm bedroom (in winter)
Really noisy bedroom, you can't sleep early at night or after 8.00 in the morning as reception is next to the door. You have to pass throught the reception where the receptionnist sleeps to go to the bathroom. Bathroom outside and really cold, we didn't have water to wash in the morning (so toilet was awfull as people couldn't flush). Only the japanese employee speaks english and do her best to help you, the owner didn't even answer to my "hello" when I saw him.
Central, good wifi despite being a stone house, friendly staff.
The bathroom is outside the building, horrible in the winter. The cave seems to be a good idea and one gets the impression it's lightproof and soundproof but it's not. It was quite warm in the winter, so I assume this place must be unbearably hot in the summer. But worst of all was finding small roaches in my bed, and probably there are other bedbugs. I am writing this the day after my stay, and my body is all itchy from the bites.
Breakfast on the roof top, beds were clean
The air in our room was very bad and it was really hot inside. If you wanted to go to the bathroom you needed to go through the cold again
Location is great Terrace and breakfast are awesome
Room and bathroom are not that clean. Never saw a smile from the owner...
Very nice location, attentive staff, delicious breakfast, beautiful cave room. Wifi was fast! We loved our stay there and we recommend this place!
Good internet, good location, very nice clean rooms with very comfortable beds - quite cosy and enough room for 2 people (we lived in a double room on the first floor - better conditions than in Istanbul for the same price). Very hot in the room at night. No problems with guests and personnel.
Personnel speaks poor English. Impossible to get important information when needed. No tv set in the lobby.
Excellent location (close to the Otogar and the start of the Pigeon Valley Trail) The breakfast was nice and the staff were friendly and obliging. The rooms were nice and warm too. All this for 5 euros a night!
The area around my bed was not very clean. When they were coming to pıck up people for Balloon tours at 5am, the staff woke everyone else up in the dorm by turning on the light and made lots of noise.
The price was really cheap compared to other hotels. We had a big room and even Wifi in the room. The breakfast was also included in the price and it was quite ok.
The shower was outside and the water wasn't really hot... (pretty bad considering that it was around 0 degrees at night).
Great location, clean, comfortable. Akiko was very friendly)
Cheap place to stay and really good quality for that prize. Quite close to the bus station and the centre of the village.Nice helpfull owners. Rooms are very basic but all facilities are fine - comfortable bed, hot water in bathroom, heating when colder outside. It is enough if one looks for a simple accomodation to explore Goreme and neighbourhood.
Breakfast wasn't served as a buffet. It was served on the plates like usual Turkish breakfast (some cheese, tomato, olives, marmolade, one egg, etc.). Only tee, coffee and bread was in buffet style.
The couple who run the place are very nice and professional. The place is great it's 200m from the otogar very convinient.
All Goreme's hotels propose tours but would advise you not to book tours untill you try to discover the region on your own for at least a day then decide.
Near the bus stop. Stuff polite and nice. Great view from the terrace. Nice cave dormitory!
Carbon smell everywhere, outdoor bathroom, cold tiny and dirty.
It is a centric hotel with friendly staff and confortable rooms.
Breakfest quite pure...
Situation was perfect, we really love to fly with Mustafa in hot air balloon, he is a realy good pilote. Wifi works in our room
Rooms need to be renovate a little bit.
The room was very nice, comfortable and bright, the staff "Osman" is súper friendly and helpful, also we took a hot air balloon flight with Mustafá, he was always worried about us, Good time there.
How would you rate a stay, when you booked a private room and you end up in a dorm completely full with other persons? Also (primarily the male) staff was extremly unfriendly - completly opposite of what you experience anywhere else in Turkey. Not any word of sorry! The breakfast was very basic. The facitilies are also very basic. No hot water, at least not in the morning. If you can avoid this pension and book another place.
We had a double and a single room, which were tiny but sufficiend. Bathroom is very tiny but everyting worked. Wifi everywhere (except for the first evening). Breakfast is standard basic on the terasse. Other guests were mostly backpackers. Unlike mentioned in some reviews, everything in was clean. Some of the staff are very nice, others seem to be a bit bugged from time to time.
The staff was super friendly and made their guests feel like they were welcome at all times. This was done in the form of complimentary tea and a rooftop cookout. Osman Toy, in particular, is a real stand out guy. And it's very cool to spend the night in a cave!
Shared toilets that were occasionally out of toilet paper. A little on the noisy side in the mornings.
-really nice backpackers' atmosphere, -situated not far away from center, -rooms in real caves ;)
-because our room was in the cave (no windows), it was a little airless and stuffy. While eating breakfast or having shower (we had room without bathroom), we left door a little opened to ventilate the room. And in such moment... somebody roobbed us!!!! (took about 100$ - all $ that we have prepared to exchange in the next stop of our trip). Most probably it was one of the guests, and we know that Ishtar hotel doesn't take resposibility for such behavior of their guests - anyway, it was a really dump moment of our stay in Cappadocia :(
- location is very comfortable - personnel was perfect and provided us with everything - transfer and all activities we wanted for a very good prices - beatiful view from the terrace
- shower was not very comfortable - weak breakfasts but you can take all you want with you to the breakfast
Breakfast on the roof terrace was excellent...nice view of the town. Staff was really friendly and willing to help you all the time. Our double room was clean and bed was comfy.
We didn't have wifi in our bedroom. No hot water early in the morning to have a shower.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Good location: very close to restaurants, shops, cafes, bars, bus stop. Breakfast on the terrace was good. We booked our hot air balloon flight with Mustafa, the owner of the hostel. A bit more expensive than other companies, but it was worth every penny! He took great care of us, let us maneuver the balloon a little, took us inside the balloon at the end. He was great! So if you're thinking about a flight over Cappadocia, you must definitely fly with him! :-)
free breakfast but the products are'nt fresh we had bed bugs that they did not treat and even if they offered us another room, no gesture was made the staff barely speaks english and the manager is a rude guy who doesn't speak to his customer at all
