Location was excellent. 5 minutes from St. John's Basilica, the museum, the bus station, the train station.the staff were very helpful. breakfast delicious. hot water, wifi was good. the decoration of the hotel is charming.
it is a quite big hotel compare to others in a very small town. stayed there twice, had different rooms in different buildings. It is clean and excellent hot water pressure (the hot water tap does need to run a while longer than usual, before the hot water comes out). The rooms in the build located at the end of garden are considerable bigger, and each floor has a sitting room at the landing area. The hotel has 24 hour doctors on call. Free Wi-Fi
The breakfast is ok, but after 2 days, it became very boring. There is no lifts, if one has a room in one of the 4 story building, one will definitely need some help.
We had a prob with our car rental co and arrived very late. The staff was very helpful, gave us tea while they took our bags up 3 flights of stairs, and opened the kitchen so we could have a late dinner! Rooms are basic but full of character w lots authentic Turkish antiques and furnishings and lovely rose garden w lime trees!
It was mid October but still very warm but the pool was closed.
I really liked the staff particularly in the restaurant and the antiques and gardens, it was a lovely haven from the business of Selcuk and Ephesus
The bathroom was clean and the hot water eventually very hot but somewhat neglected and old in appearance
The kalehan is a great place to stay if heading to see Ephesus. The food at the buffet breakfast is wonderfully fresh and plentiful & the room was set in a quaint courtyard where tortoises roamed. It's a rustic place to stay. We also enjoyed the pool and the staff were all very friendly and couldn't do more. Fab!
Garden area and pool was a relaxing oasis. Lots of seating areas. This was a huge plus. Restaurant was excellent with good choices and good wine, nice atmosphere inside and out. Staff was super friendly and helpful. They arranged transfer from hotel to Izmir airport which worked well. It is about a 10 minute walk to the bus station to take the mini-bus to Sirince. We enjoyed our visit there. Better to take a taxi to drop you at the top entrance to Ephesus to walk down through the ruins to the bottom. We took a taxi back. If you take the bus it drops you at the bottom and you would have to walk up the hill.
The bathrooms (at least ours) really need to be renovated. Bed was very hard but that is typical of area.
The building has a history. Maybe it does not need a renewal, just keep its unique style. I like it here. And its very convenient to go to the town Sirince from here by driving.
The food was excellent, staff so attentive and good humoured, comfortable and a great location
The staff,the food,the location.
A great room. A nice garden with a clean swimming pool. Breakfast super. No far from S. Juan Evangelista (5 minutes walk). Quite.
Really comfortable hotel wıth helpful staff. Great locatıon and lovely gardens.
Staff was vertical nice and a cute area close to everything ( cute hotel ) for the area
The garden was so beautiful it was great having an afternoon drink in the garden, it did feel a little like France .the room was spacious, clean and good value.
The staff were helpful but I would not say friendly. Other than that a good choice for selcuk
Great location to pay a visit to Ephesus and to spend one day at Pamukkale. The hotel is very charming and the staff really nice and attentive. The restaurant offers good local food.
Breakfast, the pets and night shift staff.
Shower didn't drain properly and no lift
Garden pool area. Great for kids. Nice big family rooms. Staff accomodating and helpfull
The location was good a little out of Selcuk away from noise . Hotel set in large gardens.
Good location, close to Ephesus, shopping, etc. Breakfast good. Pool good. Friendly, helpful staff.
Perhaps it was only our room that was poor, who knows? The room was very dark with little lighting. There were no comfortable chairs in the room. The bathroom was horrid with very little cold water pressure and virtually no hot water. Traffic noise continued through the night.
Very friendly staff. Gardens and swimming pool were very welcome when the weather was very hot. Good restaurant. Five minute walk to town centre, Basilica of St John and castle.
Problems with accuracy of our bill. This was resolved but wasted time and was disconcerting. Hygiene issues with a animals in the garden-four young puppies. Rooms not well sound insulated. Parking haphazard. Pool furniture very old and not very comfortable.
The staff provided an very good tour to Epheses. They were excellent in helping us deal with airline problems. The food and service was superb.
The atmosphere, the kindness and sympathy of staff
All the staff were friendly and accomodating. The restaurant was excellent and we enjoyed the guided tour of Ephesus. An excellent hotel for families. Our kids wanted to go back as soon as we left!
Located close to centre of Selcuk, convenient for bus and train station...close to Ephesus. Quiet rooms, pleasant pool area Tour to Ephesus recommended: knowledgeable and friendly professional guide willing to tailor to your requirements Friendly, helpful staff Great breakfasts
Helpful staff. Clean. Great ambiance. Mrs. Seda was very kind & we enjoyed our tour with her. My son enjoyed playing with the puppies, turtles & birds in the garden area. Pool was clean. Good room service.
In-house restaurant food has limited variety. Breakfast not that great.
I enjoyed the staff and the scenery. The courtyard was very peaceful and enduring. Loved the puppies and turtles. The breakfast was wonderful.
