The room was small, but adequate. There was no view from the room I had. Also, no elevator. The shuttle service driver had a hard time finding it at night. The phone number on the sign was also different from my booking number.
The views from the rooftop terrace during breakfast were stunning. Kalkan is a lovely city. This location is very close the narrow streets of old town. Also, close to catching the dolmus to Kas.

Everything from the reception area, decoration, room, terrace with sea view, breakfast and last but not least the hostess was unique and superb! Highly recommended if you are looking for a turkish home away from home.

Parking is complicated, always blocked the entrance, wi-fi poor, breakfast without meat. Lonely Planet say that is one of the best accommodation in the Mediterranean, this is very exaggerated.
The building is an old Turkish (Greek?) renewed house, nice staff, relative near the beach and the restaurants.

Wifi access could be somewhat unreliable.
Great location close enough to the town centre without needing a taxi but just far enough from the centre to enable a quiet nights sleep. Really good staff. Very clean. Great views from roof terrace.

We loved everything, however, Turk Evi is positioned on a very steep hill and therefore not suitable for people with walking difficulties. Don't book Turk Evi if your looking for a pool side holiday and bar on site - this is a traditional Turkish house.
My partner and I came across Turk Evi 2 years ago, whilst visiting Kalkan. We both felt that this hidden jewel had to be considered for our next holiday in Kalkan. On arrival, we were not disappointed. You feel that you are staying in a very special place, lovingly cared for and owned by Selma. Spotlessly clean, surrounded by traditional Turkish artifacts. The leisurely breakfast on the roof top terrace, with the fabulous view of the bay and the sumptuous breakfast is the highlight of the stay. A foodies delight. Selma sources her produce locally. Honey and butter from the local farmer, fresh figs and peaches, a variety of freshly baked breads, the best coffee in Kalkan and much more. Our daughter and son in law came too, thoroughly enjoyed their stay and intend to return in the future.

The hotel is like a house. There are few rooms that is why it's very cosy. Many interesting hand made things everywhere. Every corner in the room is cleaned perfectly. The terrace is just great with a scenery view. One can use the terrace anytime. Breakfast is served there. Selma is a very attentive and careful owner. Feeled like we are relatives :) The best place to stay in Kalkan, I think. You'll never forget this hotel!

Steps were a bit steep if carrying heavy luggages from road to hotel.
Selma was extremely nice and helpful. Good location to visit Olundeniz and Kas for Kekova boat trip. Spacious room and very pleasant with nice A/C.

Bathroom of our room was functional but should be renewed

We keep returning to Turk Evi for its tranquility, charm and perfect location in Kalkan. The house is one of the few preserved traditional town houses in Kalkan tastefully decorated and very homely. The roof terrace is like a quiet oasis a few hundred meters above the harbour from where you enjoy the view of Kalkan bay at the top of the village. The owner and staff are simply lovely.

Nothing to dislike - it surpassed all our expectations.
Right in the midst of the old village, you step into the Kalkan of 20+ years ago when you cross the threshold of Turk Evi, which for me is the best compliment I could pay! Wonderful hospitality, gorgeous surroundings filled with antique furniture and rugs, but also spotlessly clean and with first rate service. Each time we returned to our room, it was as tidy and clean as the moment we moved in, and the breakfasts! Served on the rooftop terrace with views of the bay, we breakfasted like kings on fresh bread, home made preserves, fruits, olives, honey, yoghurt, tomatoes etc. We also took up the option of having Selma cook us a meal one night - delicious! Old fashioned Turkish hospitality at its best!

Nothing, all was great.
Selma the owner cared for us as if we were family. Breakfasts were very special with wonderful fresh produce. A lovely old house filled with antique furniture, pictures and charm. We just felt like we were at a home from home, coming and going as we pleased with everything done for us whilst we were out!
