Great location and very friendly staff.
Poor lighting in rooms. Had to keep a bathroom door open to be able to do things. Breakfast could be better for what Turkey could offer.
Fantastic location, staff friendly and helpful. Room was beautiful.
Nothing - It was a great experience, excellent value for money. Would absolutely recommend this place.
friendly staff, breakfast, location near restaurants
small breakfastroom and cold in wintertime.
The hotel has a great location. I could walk to many places just in a couple of minutes. A lot of hotspots around the hotel like Galata Tower, Galata Bridge, Istiklal Street... The tramline is just in front of the hotel. So I could easily visit Hagia Sophia and other hotspots of Historical Peninsula. On the way back, I chose to walk to enjoy the sea view... The room was clean and spacious. It was fun to read and work downstairs at the lovely cafeteria. They have very nice books about Istanbul. The stuff is very friendly and helpful. They helped me with any questions I had and directed me to very good places. I discovered nice local restaurants with their help. I will choose Karakoy Aparts again for my coming Istanbul visits !
I booked this place for my mother. she found the place is incredibly amazing. she was treated as 5 stars hotel although this is a family business. everything is walk distance from you special the Sultan Ahmet
The apartments are nice and spacious. The location of the hotel is very convenient.
The lighting in the room is bad, so it is difficult to read and see after it gets dark. The bathroom was not clean.
Great location. Near pois and near various means of transport. Great staff.
We stayed here for 3 nights. Wifi connections are very good, the hotel location is perfect, close by the karakoy tram station, not so far away from galata bridge & galata tower. The hotel is small but has a nice character. It has an elevator so we could avoid the small & winding stairs (good for my Mom). The staffs are nice especially Mr. Tunçay who is helpful. Breakfast is turkish breakfast, we enjoy them.
I booked 2 rooms, supposed to be a studio room, which is quite big but the sofa bed is worn off, unfortunately. The superior room is smallist & the bathroom smells. The breakfast room is small. They didn't clean up the rooms well, the floors in our rooms need to be mopped.
The location was great! Quiet street and near all the interesting sites. Nice room.
For our 5 nights stay they didn't clean the room at all: there was dust everywhere. They never changed the bed sheets and only once the towels.
The location is perfect as it's very close to Galata Tower and Tram station. Only 4 stops to Blue Mosque. The staffs are very friendly and helpful (with warm smiles :)) .There is a small kitchen that you can cook by yourself, very convenient.
The view from our room is not as good as the pictures showing on the website. We cannot see the bridge, nor the galata tower, only a very narrow view of the street. The light of our room is not very bright. The shower towel was not very clean on the first day, but the following days are OK.
Everything was perfect. It has the friendliest staff ever.
Nice location, staff very kind i had a nice stay
staff & location was perfect . Rooms are really comfortable & modern furnished.
Location, between old town and new SoHo area. Breakfast, very generous and varied. Comfort, everything you need and a sea view. Staff, very polite and friendly. General atmosphere, very welcoming and relaxed.
We had to leave.
Staff, location, comfort We very much enjoyed our time there and will plan to stay there again.
The lights need to be brighter. Almost impossible to read. We were upgraded to a suite which was lovely but would be great to have a comfortable chair or two in the lounge in addition to the sofa.
Great location! Nice staff and cozy room.
View from the top floor appartment, location is excellent you can get almost everywhere just by walking. The manager and staff were attentive and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.
Limited place in bad weather for breakfast, and the variety of the offer ( otherwise it was ok).
We booked this hotel exactly for its location - it is in the middle between modern and historic parts of the town. Thing that was very nice surprise - breakfast.
Rooms are nice, however during our 5 night stay all that cleaning lady did was changed towels and made beds - floors were not cleaned a single time neither in the room not in the bathroom. Besides photos in the booking.com are obviously from suites, not from "normal" rooms. Beds has extremely soft mattresses - if you are used to hard ones you will end up with aching back. About the service. When we made the reservation, we asked for 2 separate rooms. At arrival we were given room with narrow bed. They tried to convince us to stay in this room with extra bed added. After we insisted on receiving what they confirmed they found another room but just for next day. Wouldnt wish my enemy to sleep on that "extra bed". After we were transferred to another room we realized that toilet is not working. They fixed it after 3 days when we talked with manager in presence of other hotel guests. If anyone would ask me if I would recommend it my answer is : DEFINETELY NO!
location close to the Galata Bridge modern facilities
toilet not flushing shower leaking wardrobe door not sliding electric socket not working staff welcoming - but beware! having ordered a taxi to the airport - we were supplied with a Merc people carrier going round the hotels - cost mentioned was "30". No currency stated - that was 30 euros and not Turkish Lira which was 85. Having ordered a twin bedded room, we were put in the smallest of double bedded rooms imaginable and promised a change the next day - which did not materialise. Only persistence made the change.
Location, the room is very comfort and clean.
Breakfast was very bad. View from the window is ugly.
We loved the room, service in each way, taxi, food, ...everything was done with a big smile. Thank you. It was lovely
Not to many bars. But if you walk 500m...no problem :-)
Location and size of apartment very good.
Location of Karakoy Aparts is really excellent. Next to tram stop at Karakoy, and very close to Galata Tower is a perfect place to start your tour either to Sultanahmet either to Beyoglou. Stuff is friendly and helpful and room facilities are very good
The only negative thing was a bad smell coming from toilet, probably from sewers which of course could not be fixed by hotel stuff. Breakfast is decent but every day the same, so after a week you get bored of it
This is a charming place, brand new & well designed. We stayed here for a short city sightseeing trip, which proved to be a very good choice due to its location, being close to the old city as well as to the trendy local pubs and restaurants to spend the nights. Strongly recommended for young travellers, who want to make the most out of their time in the city, without being stuck to traffic jams, enjoying both the day & night life in Istanbul.
