The location was a short distance from the Blue Mosque and the Mosaic Museum. The staff was excellent with great advice and the breakfasts were incredible with everything you could want including soup.Try the sesame bread with labhne and comb honey.Superb restaurants literally down the street. Great shower with lots of room.
The bathroom had a quirk that to close the door you had to stand next to the sink in order to use the toilet.
Noise going somewhere from the hallway
Staff was very Nice, Location was close to Sultan Ahmed Mousque and Aya Sofya and Tram, very clean and very quite area, Wifi was good, very good decoration, and nice breakfast.
Great breakfast, lovely room, comfy bed.
Staff spoke good english, was very helpful, professional and capable. Accomodation was excellent (i did get an upgrade), new, clean and all was working. Location was in the heart of the old town, withnlotsbof character and walking distance to many great mosques, bazaars and endless amounts of local shops. I will go back there on our next trip.
Nothing to complain about :)
Clean room, comfortable bed and very helpful staff. Location is just a few minutes walk to the Blue Mosque and to the tram station. Breakfast is included, everything is fresh and delicious. Wifi is free.
We stay in a triple room, there is no chair in the room and one of the shower door could not close properly.
This was our second visit to this hotel and on our arrival we were heartily welcomed. Breakfast was filling and varied. Reception gave us a lot of useful information what we could visit plus history. Would definitely recommend this small and family run hotel.
The location is very convenient to visit istanbul, the staff has been very helpful, the rooms are comfortable and very warmly decorated. Breakfast was excellent too. Will be back to Katelya on my next visit to istanbul.
The hotel was perfectly located for exploring old Istanbul. It was a stone's throw from the Blue Mosque on the quieter south side, near one end of the Arasta Bazaar and only a block from the sea. Our top floor corner room was light and airy with windows on three sides giving good outlooks (could see the sea). Despite it being on a corner the traffic was light and not noisy: the muezzin call was the most noticeable external sound. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom had the extras, and there was tea and coffee making facility. The breakfast was excellent, with made to order omelets, and the desk staff were most helpful and friendly. We couldn't have wished for more.
location very close to old city staff extremely helpful received an upgraded room which was very nice
All good- no issues
TV was impossible to work
This is a lovely hotel in a good location for the village of Göcek. The staff are so helpful and will do anything for you. Breakfasts are plentiful and served around the pool.
Quaint neighborhood with cozy restaurants and boutique shops. Short walk to major tourist areas. Very good breakfast--lots of selections and the warm breakfast entrees changed daily. Bed very comfortable. Coffee and tea in room. All amenities in bathroom.
Helpful and friendly staff. Very good breakfast. Great Sultanahmet location handy to attractions.
Room was spacious but the layout was a bit awkward given it was "at the bow of the ship" (although this meant windows on three sides)
the breakfast was good, the the breakfast room was very nice
very small rooms
Location - 5 minute walk to the Blue Mosque, Aga Sofia, Topkapi Palace and Sultanahmet Square. Plenty of good restaurants in the vicinity. Staff, spoke excellent English, were extremely polite, helpful and efficient - organised Gallipoli tour and airport transport. Hotel provided one complimentary airport transport. Shopping, public transport and sightseeing advice were very helpful and enriched our stay enormously.
The location, the service, the facilities and the breakfast were all truly excellent.
Location, comfortable room, friendly and helping staff
The Hotel seems to be recently renovated The rooms are clean, nice design, good location.
The reception staff could not have been more helpful and more accommodating. Everywhere recently refurbished and very clean. A quiet location but within easy reach and walking distance of main attractions.
Hard to find the hotel on foot: it is very tucked away.
The location is very convenient, at walking distance to the main sites in old Istambul. The staff is very friendly and was helpful at all times, including with tips about tours, daytrips, etc. The room was clean and had all basic comfort items. Breakfast was excellent.
The room was a bit too small, we missed having a chair in it. The manager informed that this room is about to be renovated to have more internal space.
Great location and a great service. Nothing is too much for the staff at Katelya, with Salih ( I guess the manager) leading by example. We were thoroughly satisfied with our stay. Breakfast was very good too and the girls running the kitchen were very attentive. Thank you everybody.
Great location and an easy walk to Istanbul's most popular sites. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the room was very clean. The greatest feature for me was the breakfast they serve... The best meal I had in Istanbul (of many)!
The proximity to blue mosque, hagia sofia and top kapi etc. is a plus but then there are so many hotels in the area that it alone cannot be the deciding factor. The staff at reception and in the kitchen is friendly and helpful. The staff were also helpful in arranging boat trips and making reservations for dinner at other hotels.
Other than the proximity to the historical sites the location is horrible with narrow streets where you can't walk if a car come behind you, not to mention the aggressive traffic. There is no view from the hotel and a number of buildings around the hotel are either under construction or horrible looking ruins. Of course this in not their fault but thats the area where they are located. Contrary to other hotels that offer shuttle service to and from the airport this hotel costs you double the price i.e. 50 Euros (25 each way) First couple of days we thought that may be we were coming late for breakfast and that is why most of the dishes were empty but on the following two days it became apparent that they hardly refilled things like fruits, salami and pepperoni slices etc. Sunday seems to be a holiday for housekeeping as well, so dont leave your kids dirty diapers in the trash can in the bathroom. Took them two days to understand what I meant by a clogged wash basin and another to fix it.
the staff there are friendly and genuine people who are helpful especially the two guys. They give good recommendations and in the best interest for you rather than money making alone. The breakfast is excellent
Small thing like the hand basin was big but there was no space to put your toiletry
