Kaucuk Hotel  

Our ground floor room overlooked the street outside. for security and limiting noise the windows had to remain locked closed. Hence the room was airless and the airconditioner did not work. The staff sought to penalise us for drinking our own whisky. Our luggage was searched while we were out and we were charged 24 lira for drinks we did not receive. It is a small amount but left a sour impression.

The hotel is just gorgeous. the rooms all beautifully done and the staff ever so helpful and attentive. loved the home-made style breakfast with an assortment of fresh fruit and cheese. Excellant location to explore the hidden local cafes and shops and the area is laced with quaint and charming cafe's and shops. will stay here absolutely every time we visit antalya. very very highly recommended!!!

Beautiful, peaceful, friendly hotel. Incomparably clean; lovely rooms in traditional style; perfect Turkish breakfast; attentive staff and more than welcoming owners. Feels like this place was founded and is taken care of with love. Perfect location if you do not know the Old Town well - easily accessible from the Clock Tower. This has been our 2nd stay and we will come back again.

The location of the hotel is excellent in terms of transportation links, and proximity to restaurants. The hotel is located in an overly tourist-focused area of the city, and one needs to gather information about restaurants, access to attractions, in order to avoid falling into the numerous tourist traps - invariably associated with considerable expense.

Noise - the window of my room was facing the street, and the level of noise at night was incredible. The locals were happily riding motobikes until 2am, the hotel guests would arrive at 4am, the rubbish collectors would come at 7am, a shop nearby would take delivery of souvenirs and carpets at 3am, a mullah on a nearby minaret would start singing at 5.55am - this list should give an idea of a typical night's schedule. BREAKFAST - it remained exactly the same, cheese, olives, bread, filtered coffee, orange juice nectar, one tomato + one cucumber salad for three person table, no fruit - charged at 10 Euro per day

The staff and the owners were vert friendly and nince with great hospitality. The rooms are beautifully decorated with carpets from the owners private collection, and he teached us a lot about Anatolian carpets. We were included as friends, and we lovde it.

The rooms were a decent size - even by North American standards. The furnishings were very tasteful and comfortable. The courtyard has many shaded and non-shaded areas to lounge in and is beautifully landscaped. The new hotel manager's English is excellent and he is obviously a pro. The location is very convenient to the tram line and to the marina. A very charming hotel.

Hot water was in short supply before breakfast.

Everything is great. Has to be one of nicest places I've stayed at and thats a few around the world. Lovely staff, beautiful location, beautiful building, and wonderfully decorated. I'll be back next time in Anatalya for sure. Dont hesitate to book yourself a few days here.

One room on the ground floor next to the main entrance door might be a little noisy.

The design of the hotel was incredible. The peace in the hotel also needs to be mentioned. We were happy with the people, the location of the hotel and the breakfast also good. as a result it answered all our needs as a family.

What a fantastic hotel this was, we loved it! A gorgeous boutique hotel in the middle of the old town, Kaucuk was fabulous. You walk through the door into a small oasis of tranquitilty and peace set into a lovely garden area with a crystal clear pool and seating area. The rooms are spacious and the bed so comfortable, they are clean and modern and yet have a sense of Turkey about them. The staff were wonderful, Nerda, Ismail, Gulsun, Emre and especially Erol. They made us so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented! All in all a fabulous 3 nights and 10/10 Kaucuk, you were all that we hoped you would be and we will definately be back!!!

Location within Kaleici. To find on foot: Enter Kaleici by the Clock Tower, look down the hill, talk the left road with the Mosque on it, Turn left at Pasa Mosque, (if you continue down the hill to the shops, you’ve gone too far), follow road round (Pasa Camii Sokak), Kaucuk is on right, just after sign pointing down side street to Tuvana Hotel. The quality of the sheets and towels, and delicious home-made jam. Erol and his team who were extremely friendly and efficient. Due to the very high quality of the hotel and fittings, and breakfast being well presented we were surprised that the orange juice was not fresh (we could buy it for 2-4Tl from a street vendor after watching it being freshly squeezed into a clear plastic bottle).

A lovely hotel, very cosy and quiet. Extremely friendly staff (especial thanks to Erol). I guess it's a best choise for old town.

It's right in the middle of Old town which is good for shopping and a good tourist location. The owner and staff are really nice and make you feel like at home. Noise levels are great if you looking for a quiet stay. Internet was included and decent.

Rooms are way smaller than they appear in the pictures. Our room didn't have a tv in it so I wouldn't recommend it if you’re looking to stay in your room too long, but that did not affect us since we were going to go sight see and explore.

Our experience at Kaucuk was remarkable. The hotel is located in the perfect spot in the old city, close to the marina and shops. Errol the manager is extremely helpful, hospitable and kind. He helped us with directions, allowed us to store our luggage at the hotel after we checked out, arranged for dinner at nearby restaurants, etc. he was warm, friendly and genuine. Kaucuk and Errol are true gems.

The owner was exceptionally welcoming and spoke very good English, having lived in England for a time; the location of the hotel is excellent for access to the old town, the archaeological museum and the main shopping areas. The outside garden area is very well cared for. There are plenty of restaurants close by.

It's better to eat in the evenings elsewhere, but breakfasts by the pool are lovely and in traditional Turkish in style

We with my wife liked Kaucuk Hotel very much. It is in the very center of the old Antalia, close to port and bazaar, other places of interest. Living in it is like living in simple and convenient museum(!). You can hear mosque call to prayer. Antique style rooms are different from one another, no same rooms. There is a beautiful and cosy garden which is very good for romantic time. Probably it is the best place to get a romantic feeling of old Antalia!

The staff ( particularly Errol) was most accommodating and congenial. They went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. For example, Errol organized breakfast an hour earlier than usual to ensure that we ate before leaving on a tour. The breakfast was fabulous! We loved the " home made" inclusions such as the apricot jam. The courtyard was an oasis from the outside. A wonderful place to relax and rest . The hotel is in a great location to take in the sites.

We really enjoyed our stay at Kaucuk. It had great ambience and was within easy walking distance to sights and loads of restaurants. Our host Erol and his staff were extremely welcoming and helpful and took great pride in ensuring that every aspect of his hotel was run to a very high standard. The breakfast in the lovely courtyard setting came with full service and personal touches like warm bread and homemade jams. We would certainly recommend this hotel for a relaxing stay in Antalya.

Location was great for accessing old city. But for day trips to other locations in the region it is a bit difficult to get in and out of unless you use local drivers. Also my Garmin was useless as many addresses are impossible to program either because of strange way to describe an address or because the Garmin does not have all the post codes. A little difficult to navigate if you are driving as I was. The hotel was clean, good decor and comfort level. I would use it again. Good overall satisfaction

Some services could be better. We were feeling to stuffy but were advised not to use Air conditioning but to open windows as starting Air conditioned which was stand alone unit in my room would disturb settings for all other rooms !! Breakfast costs so little I wonder why hotels cannot offer generously specially local fruits and produce available on street for pennies. Like strawberries and water melon was abundant outside but not represented in menu or was not fresh.

I really enjoyed my stay at Kaucuk. My wife described the place as a perfect honeymoon destination. Kaucuk has friendly staff such as Erol who was really attentive from day one. It is very tasteful in terms of the decoration and design. From my point of view, it rivals other bigger boutique hotels in the area.

Beautiful hotel ideally situated in Antalya old town. The hotel consists of a town house with a garden an swimming pool. It has been recently refurbished to high standards. Highly recommended.

Because the hotel is situated in the old town, it is not easy to access by car - however there is a convenient car park nearby.

What a wonderful welcome me and my wife have received from Erol and Rengin Hanim when we knock the door to the Kaucuk Hotel after a long trip from Norway to my childhood city Antalya The hotel is located in the Tuzcular Quarter of Old Town of Antalya . a city of bright sun, blue sea, orange trees and friendly people of the Mediterranean Cultures. The delicious Turkish breakfasts with home made sweets of the Erol’s aunt in the silent courtyard gave us a very good start for the daily strolls on our Doorstep. Late March and early April is perfect time to visit this lovely city if you do not want to miss the smell of orange trees in blossom. Our planned trip was for tre days but we ended up with ten days and we strongly recommend this boutique hotel placed in the heart of Antalya with its high quality of services provided by Erol.

El trato del personal es muy personalizado. El chico de la recepción (cuyo nombre hemos olvidado) es magnífico. El desayuno (que lo sirven mas temprano si lo requieres) es excelente. Las instalaciones son inmejorables y de muy buen gusto. Muy buena relación calidad/precio. Totalmente recomendable si lo que quieres es tranquilidad y confort.

No dan llaves de la puerta externa. El pobre chico de la recepción tenía que estar peniente de nuestra llegada tarde en la noche. En todo caso, siempre nos abrió de muy buen ánimo.
