Hotel Kayahan  

Over het algemeen was dit een erg positieve ervaring: ruime kamer, ruim bed, proper, goede airco, en vriendelijk personeel. Een grote troef is zeker het dakterras met een prachtig uitzicht over de stad en de zee. De maaltijden waren copieus en erg lekker.

Op het einde van ons verblijf, en vooral nadat de betaling gebeurd was, werd de vriendelijkheid wel wat minder.

I loved staying in Hotel Kayahan. The staff is really friendly and very helpfull and they will do anything to help you. Especially the lady at the reception. Rooms and bathrooms are bright and very clean. Hotel is on 3 minutes walk from the centre and short walking distance from the beautiful big beach. Very good price/quality value.

Really great staff, fantastic sheltered rooftop terrace, and a very nice relaxed atmosphere. They also do a dinner in the evening that was excellent!

Wow. We were so impressed with the hotel and the staff. Room: Fairly big incl ensuite, extremely clean, good A/C, comfy bed, with a great view over the bay from the balcony. Staff: Extremely helpful, super friendly, relaxed and always at hand to answer questions, have a chat, speak to local businesses on our behalf or even rush us to the bus station. Top guys. Food: Incredible choice, for both yummy buffet breakfast and dinner served on the terrace. The dinner comprised of an incredible selection of mezze, followed by a main of fish or meat from the grill and finished off with some fruit and/or cake, all of which for an extra 20TL per person, outstanding value!!! If that wasn't enough a free glass of wine is offered every night at sunset (7-7.30pm). We would never usually eat at our hotel but ate there all 3 nights. Location: Ideal, 5 min walk to the center of old town.

Friendly and helpful staff, nice breakfast choices, lovely balcony views of Med.

There's a problem with the drainage, they sort of fixed it, and were willing to change room if necessary. Is a 8- 10 minute uphill walk from Kas centre - just a warning for anyone with mobility problems.

The crew was extremely helpful. Breakfast was very good, despite the extra-paid orange juice. Beautiful views from the balcony and the breakfast terrace.

Wi fi internet was not working very well.

Arrive at seven for dinner at the rooftop restaurant for gorgeous view over Kas, the harbour and the mountains in the distance. The sunset is spectacular. Turn left from the hotel and there is a 7k walk to a lovely quiet (stony) beach for swimmimg and sunbathing. Its a bit precarious in parts, but the views are spectacular there is a restaurant and facilities and there is a boat back! We met several different nationalities. Good value hotel.

The hotel is elevated. After a tiring day its an uphill walk back, It is possible to avoid steps, though! There is a pool but it isn't shaded, we didn't see any one using it.

The view from the roof terrace was absolutely fantastic overlooking the bay & Meiss island. Sunset was amazing. Only stayed for one night but if we were travelling in that area we would definitely stay again. We also had our evening meal there which was excellent value and quality.

We really liked this hotel. Very friendly and attentive staff and very professional. Pleasant rooms and good beds. The roof terrace is wonderful - the best possible place for breakfast and dinner. We ate there the first evening and decided to eat there every following evening - very good food and good value.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room had a nice view on the sea, and the view from the terrace (where the restaurant is) was just great. Fantastic dinner (buffet of delcious starters plus a main course - barbecued fish or meat) for less than 10 EUR per person, nice buffet breakfast. They also offer a complementary on-demand shuttle service to and from the bus station. What else do you want? :)

The only (minor) complaints are the absence of a fridge in the room (which would have been very welcome in the torrid summer of Kas) and the fact that the bedside lights were too dim to be used for reading. These are the reasons for the "fair" rating that I gave for comfort. Anyway, all considered it was a great value for money. Totally recommended!

The staff were great- very friendly and helpful, especially Casey. Make sure you have dinner on the roof-top terrace during your stay as the food is excellent and really good value. Location is good as it is quiet, but an easy walk down to the centre of Kas. Our room was on the 2nd floor with a balcony with a sea view which was lovely. The room was small but we weren't too cramped- we only had one suitcase though. Bathroom was small but the shower had good water pressure. Air-conditioning worked well as it was very hot in July. Breakfast was the usual range of Turkish/European food- they did have cereal too.

The bed was very firm and there were only 2 pillows.
