Clean Hotel, Near the Old Town & Sight Seeing, Grand Bazaar - Good Location Outside the Hotel there is a station of the tram. 1. When we asked about map info that included the media transfer, the guy at the reception showed us one of the many he had at the front desk. When we asked if it is Ok to take one of them, he replied positive but for the amount of 5tl. This is unacceptable! In every hotel we have been all over the world we were provide with maps & other info for the town at no cost. This time we had to pay & never took a receipt for it. 2. The Wi-Fi was at minimum use since we had signal only at a specific spot in the room near the door. If you wanted to use the Wi-Fi while sitting or lying on the bed then you did not have a Wi-Fi (simple as that). 3. During the breakfast it was very annoying watching the personnel being on the top of your head to see when you are taking your last sip in order to take the cup from you & your plate accordingly. This is not very gentle because you still chew your last piece and you want to take your time. In breakfast we should feel relaxed and not stressed... 4. The last day of our 5-night accomodation, the cleaning lady literally intruded into the room, showing no respect that we were still sleeping. When she realised that she had made a serious mistake (I started shouting: What's is the matter?) she did not enter and left closing hard the door without apologising at all...

New Rooms/Bed/TV/Bathroom-Rain shower is a plus. Close proximity to Beyazit Square: 5minutes walk, Grand Bazaar: 10minutes walk, Blue Mosque: 15minutes walk, TramVay station: just at hotel front. Easily accessible to Ataturk airport with a change of trains at Zeytinburnu :) Overall very satisfied

Location, close to Grand Bazaar and tram stop. Food not very good. Breakfast items luke-warm. Room facing main street very noisy at night. Non-smoking room reek with cigarette smell.

Location-location Big room with comfortable beds. Big, clean bathroom. Super friendly staffs. Free wifi. Breakfast was absolutely awesome. Tram was only 30 metres away from the main entrance of the hotel and I could go anywhere with that tram. The big Bazzar and blue mosque only 300m away from the hotel. Lots of shops and restaurant around the hotel. If I go back to Istanbul again I would definetly stay at kent hotel for sure and I would recommend it to everyone.

It was close to most famous sightseeing, grand bazaar shopping and transport facilities. Unfortunately it was a little too noisy most of the night from traffic and from the imam’s voice, during prayers, especially the very early morning. Otherwise we had an excellent stay and we will return again. to nooisy during the night.

The service was great in all departments. Front desk staff were helpful and friendly. The room was very clean. Very good wi-fi. The room had no view and was a bit on the small side. The bathroom was very disappointing. The shower is only 50cm wide and there is definitely no hydro massage - the spouts are there but the water pressure is so low one can only use one spout at a time. Bathroom is pretty and very clean though.

Good location, room was fine for what I needed and clean. Breakfast was adequete. There was no blanket on the bed just an empty duvet cover which was a bit strange. There was no internal lock on the door which I was a bit uncomfortable with as a female, however this was the same at another hotel I stayed at in Istanbul.

The hotel had triple rooms which were very useful for a family of six. They were able to put us up in adjoining rooms and that gave us relative privacy and comfort for all six of us. The bathroom was perfect, strong showers, simple lines and worked well. The front desk was very helpful, Mustafa, in particular. We had a great trip and the location allowed us to walk to the sights in the Old City or take the tram right outside. Both worked well. Location right next to the Doubletree on Ordu Cadessi. No real complaints, they met our needs. Breakfast was adequate. Rooms were adequate, not large, not small. Windows effective in shutting out any noises.

“The hotel was clean and food was really good, sightseeing was within easy reach from the hotel. The staff were friendly and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble, and they booked our restaurants/ taxis / transport to places we wished to visit outside the area. One member of staff who deserves recognition and went far beyond the call of duty was a young man called Fikret. We are so thankful for his honesty & support with a problem we had (self inflicted) and cannot praise him enough.” |carol, Uzumlu Fethiye |
