This place is one of a kind. It is near all the sites, which was perfect for me, but so uniquely special. Even better in person than the pictures with all the lamps and antiques. The restaurant is great too. Tip: have the apple tea, it's not just that red mix you get everywhere else.
Fantastic location, staff, facilities and vibe
The hotel is perfectly placed for sight-seeing on the old town and for eating out. The staff were just lovely and very helpful. I would thoroughly recommend it.
We ate in the restaurant one night and although the food was good it took them 3 goes to get one of our party's meal correct. However this was a very small irritation in what was otherwise a great place to stay.
Location, Decoration, Staff
Bathroom can be renovated.
what is most interesting is the specially decoreted loby and rooms. You can feel every detail in each corner of the hotel, giving your stay experience an amazing anf unusual feel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is just excellent, minutes away from Aya Sofia, the blue Mosque and the Grand Bazar. All of that won't leave you indifferent that's for sure!
The bed was small and noisy. The toilets needs renovation as they do not fit with the rest of the hotel' spirit (far from that).
Location...fabulous breakfast and service. Funky décor!
The size of the bedroom should only have had one single bed since there was virtually no room to turn around. The bathroom was bigger! Also, the mattress was terrible.
Hundreds of lights like in a thousand and one palace. In the middle of the historic center of Byzance. Nice room with balcony. Staff very friendly and always ready to help. Shuttle available at fixed price,
Cleanliness of the bathroom...
pretty room great location
steep stairs old style bath tub small room toilette
Quirky hotel, full of lovely lamps, with super friendly staff. Right in the heart of where you want to be, so its very easy to walk around to the underground cistern, blue mosque etc. My request for an airport shuttle hadn't reached them when I arrived (my email had bounced back without my knowledge), but they zoomed around and arranged for me to be picked up anyway within hardly any time.
My room was close to the reception on the first floor and on the street side and as a fairly light sleeper, I woke up several times as guests moved in and out. Though actually the noise from the street itself didn't bother me.
charming character filled boutique style hotel, but it is the staff that take this hotel to the highest level. nothing is a trouble, everyone is anxious to ensure you enjoy their hospitality, incl reception desk, waiters, cleaners and the owner. we loved this hotel.
Location is super, everything within a walking distance! Nice ceiling decoration throughout the hotel
Bathroom facilities look very tired and need renovation. The room smells... And you can hear what your neighbors are doing)
Excellent location for the main sights, a great quirky and individual little hotel, loved the lights, decor and furnishings
Triple room was v small for two people, v little wardrobe/drawer capacity and nowhere to store suitcases other than on the very ltd floor space
Friendly and informative staff. Always trust the front desk for any questions concerning the city. Gorgeous hotel and decor - very unique and bohemian Free breakfast was suitable and varied for the day ahead Great bathroom with excellent water pressure/heat Ideal location - walking distance from all the sites and very safe neighborhood which is important to take into consideration since I was traveling alone. Never tried the restaurant's food but the place is always bustling outdoors in the evenings so I take it, its very good. They handled all the work in getting me to and from the hotel to the airport without a problem. Overall this place is an excellent boutique hotel. Charming, friendly, welcoming and a comfortable. It became home after a few days time and I would recommend it to my friends if they ever come here. Especially solo travelers .
The hotel was lovely and cozy and the staff was all very kind. Totally worth the price.
We were recommended to go on a dinner cruise when we asked for a belly dance reservation. The view from the cruise was nice but the show and the food was poor. I wouldn't have gone if I knew what was coming up but well, it was an experience.
Every member of the staff was excellent, helpful and friendly. The place was beautiful, it is not a common chain hotel it is unique and interesting and worth the money.
I had to leave!
THe ambience of the hotel, the decor and quietness of our room, the effective air-conditioning, the helpfulness of the staff, the breakfast and the restaurant on the roof, the location of the hotel
THe stairs are steep and there is no lift but the climb was worth it! THe bathroom is very small but clean.
The hotel was a safe haven for us in a challenging city. As 2 women we got a lot of hassle on the streets. The hotel staff made us feel safe and welcomed. As well as the excellent facilities and comfortable room, the food and drink they served was excellent and they provided transportation (at a cost) to and from the airport which was so much safer than using a yellow taxi from the street. Brilliant hotel all round.
Everything - location so close to the main sights, friendly staff, charming decor, rooftop garden area, excellent meals at a reasonable price so I had all my dinners in the hotel.
The place is even better then on the pictures - cosy restaurant, many corners to have rest & talk. Also its well known in the city as a hotel for people of art & science: when you say you stay in Kybele, turks become truly respective & friendly. It's sometimes helpful for a business trip))
Single rooms are extremely small.
Great decor that is unmistakenly Istanbul and good Turkish breakfast.
Nothing not to like.
Super friendly staff, great location, beautiful ambience!
Staff are friendly and very helpful. Building itself are quite old but well-maintained. I definitely stay again if I have a chance to visit Istanbul!!!
The ambiance, the decor (love the lighting), the location (in the old town, walking distance to all the important sites), the attention from the staff, fabulous breakfast
Electrical outlets for computers and for charging phones and other equipment needs to be upgraded, could use nice shampoo/conditioner/soap in the bathroom
This is a unique boutique hotel. The detail in the decor is amazing. Not for people who can't deal with stairs. Very comfortable otherwise
Love the balcony and courtyard - and the staff were great!
