The rest was as usual excellent
The room lacked a place to read and write (work). Change the chair and the low table with a more comfortable pieces of furniture!
Staff at the reception and tour guide Breakfast is good Nearby hotel and rooftop cafe is excellent Location is the best you can get in istanbul sultanhemt Close to taxi, tram, big bus and all other major facilities
Small room size
Concierge and breakfast/restaurant staff were lovely and helpful. As was the lady who organised tours etc. Great location within easy walking distance to all the top tourist sites.
Our room had sodden - not just damp, but absolutely soaked - carpet for two days. We're told it would dry out in an hour! Was damp for the rest of our stay. Found half eaten roll on the (wet) floor of our room when we first checked in! Don't know how house keeping missed it. Despite there being three people in our room we were only ever given two towels. The lady behind the desk when we checked in was one of the rudest I have ever encountered. I had to ask her not to yell at me! She never said good morning, good evening or even a hello to us or anyone else during our stay. Truly a woman who does not enjoy her job. Also a tip - do not take any room on the 5th floor. The noise from chairs being scraped/moved in the restaurant above is deafening and doesn't stop till 11. Speaking of the restaurant - major disappointment. We ordered the mezze plate and the dip was obviously left over from the breakfast buffet!
The position is ideal to visit Istanbul's ancient monuments. Everything is at walking distance, including the tram stop to go to the other side of the Golden Horn. The terrace bar and restaurant is awesome.
Breakfast could be improved, but I don't care a lot about it.
Excellent staff, couldn't do enough for us, always helpful and cheerful. Fabulous location, 5 mins from Blue Mosque, 5 mins from Grand Bazaar. Neighbourhood felt very safe even late at night. Tram stop 2 mins away (line connects easily to airport metro). Beds v. comfortable. Breakfast was included and there was a good selection of fresh and tasty items.
Not really a negative, but our room was v. tight on space, but this may have been more because we were sharing it with our hulking teenager :-)
Only the location
The rooms were too small. The carpet was dirty. Bathrooms were stinky. Our room had no view! We were very uncomfortable!!
I likes the hotel location. Almost opposite to the tram line (çembirlitas) and (sultanahmet) which is near to topkapy museum, Aya Sophia masjid, grand bazar, and mesri market of spices. All these locations can you walk to them from hotel.
First. The fatty guy who is working in the reception he is so rude and unmannered. When we were in the hotel. We used the balcony and during opening the door by my small daughter which is only 6 years old the hing of the door suddenly slept and door fell down on the ground. It was too heavy. And we thanked god that the door didnt fall down on her. When we ran down to the reception and we didnt believe our eyes what happened, we complained the receptionist lady how they have bad technical maintenance. She was so sorry and she apologized instead of the hotel about what happened, but after three ours when we came back to hotel to collect the luggages. We surprised by this fatty guy in the reception , he switched with the lady. he took photos to the door, blaming us that this was our mistake and the door was damaged because miss usage by my daughter, while, my daughter is so weak and she cant do this. She only tried to open it. He said you must pay us 300 TL because we fix it!!!! How is he rude and unethical man. I know he is not representing the entire staff. We told him if our child die who will be blamed? He said in a cold careless blood, THAT IS NOT OUR BUSINESS!!!!. Second. The intercontinental breakfast was so ordinary and simple
My wife and I stayed at Pirre Loti for 3 nights early July 2014 & we loved every bit of it.Just to name a few, the perfect location, the comfort & cleanliness, the staff, the delicious food & the overall service & value for money was just excellent. We are already looking forward to staying there a lot longer next time that we are in wonderful, magical Istanbul.Thank-you Hotel Pierre Loti.
We can't name anything that we didn't like.
The room was spacious, loved the balcony. Enjoyed dining on the rooftop- magnificent views of the Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace. Location was ideal, walking distance to all major sights and right on the tram line. So convenient for getting about.
Stay was too short.
Location is great for visitors. all the major attractions within reasonable walking distance
The location is perfect in the old city for all practical purposes. All the important sight-seeing features are close by.
The room is large and spacious, and of modern design. It was a comfortable room with a view. Very centrally located to all the attractions. Loved the terrace and views !
Good location, enjoyed turkish bath, good views from roof top bar.
The design, staff but most of all location!
The staff were all very friendly and efficient, they couldn't do enough for us
The location is amazing also the staff Especially mr.Ismaeel he help us alot and he was doing hes jop perfectly
The breakfast was the same all the days we stayed
Location was amazing, hotel was lovely and the restaurant and rooftop terrace were great.
Had trouble communicating with the staff as their English wasn't too good. They didn't have an iron and ironing board for use in the rooms - if we wanted anything ironed we had to send it to the dry cleaners and pay upwards of 5 euro per item.
great location next to tramway. roof top bar and street-side restaurant provide many options. good breakfast buffet.
weekend prices hike up
The location was absolutely fantastic. 10 minute walk to the right and you hit all the main mosques, 10 minute walk to the left and you hit the markets and the grand bazaar! The staff were friendly, obliging and their recommendations for tours and getting around were very good. I love the double glazing and the room sizes are good. The roof top cafe has great views and especially of the blue mosque. I would stay there again!!
It's a little tired but the location more than makes up for it.
The location and the roof top restaurant, and very nice staff.
The bathroom/toilet - the toilet door was cut short from the side so you could hear all noises from the bed area. And the shower leaves no space to dry oneself - I had to dry myself in the bed area. Not ideal!
LOVE location and turquish bath
Breakfast and sometimes bad smell
I ask for special room and they help me thanks for them V nice stay 10/10
The noise from the singer at the bar till midnight.
