Nice wifi Friendly staff Clean
Some part of hotel was under construction.
Nice bed, 2 English channels on the TV, GREAT breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Needed bigger bed comforter/duvet
La Paloma is charming little hotel in an old building on a quiet pedestrian street. Good location for exploring the Kaleici (Old Town) on foot. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good Wi-Fi. Nice decor. Clean rooms. Tasty Turkish style breakfasts served around a nice little pool.
No own parking space and public parking is a couple hundred metres away. We were there in October and could easily find free (supposedly...) public parking, but during the busiest months that could be a problem. Also, our fridge wasn't turned on when we arrived so it took a while to get cold enough. One thing could be useful for many hotels in Turkey: insulated cover for the pool to be used during the cold autumn nights. That would keep the water nicely warm in late autumn as well since there's no heating. Now it was a bit of an extreme experience in October. Nevertheless, the pros outweigh the cons easily. La Paloma is very recommendable.
Quiet hotel in great location in heart of the old town. Lovely setting. Very turkish in character. Wonderful breakfasts
Very close to attractions nice bar and pool nice coffee
late book in but most places have this
Stayed at la paloma 6 times in last 8 years. Staff as helpful and attentive as usual. Additions to rooms such as safe/tv/shower update all add to this wonderful old Ottoman building. Atmosphere very welcoming and friendly. As good as ever!!
The breakfast although adequate needs updating to accommodate all tastes. Buffet needs variety and changed dishes daily in small space difficult to access. My own personal opinion. Staff very very attentive and good atmosphere
The staff were very friendly and helpful
Proximity to everything and very peaceful. Owner was very helpful. In my opinion, it caters more for retired travellers as my older children felt restricted when constantly hushed.
All lights in halls, pool and garden area turn off at 1.00 am with no other emergency lighting to guide guests through the hotel.
I liked the family who were hosting us during the day. They were very kind and helpful. Having breakfast and meal in the beautiful yard was very pleasent. I would recommend this hotel to my friends.
Thr reception staff in the evening was not helpful.
Great staff, great food. Lovely hotel in the perfect location.
Great location in the old town; wonderful staff. The swimming pool (with a bar on the side) is very nice.
Nothing in particular.
Rooms were very clean. Staff very helpful breakfast was ok
Low English lvl.
Ratio quality / price. The pool is an added value for sure
The breakfast!! Big quantity but poor quality. Even a simple melon was tasteless and too mature. To be improved for sure !!
Very friendly staff. Hotel well maintained, clean. Breakfast excellent. Location very good, quiet, but within 15 minute walking distance to all sights.
Wifi did not work in room.
VERY spacious apartment. Very quiet. Parking was no problem. delicious dinner and breakfast. Loved the pool. Very helpful staff
Rooms are reasonably comfortable and breakfast good.
The aircon in my room didn't work, which as it was August was vital! I reported this immediately and several hours later when returning to the hotel it still wasn't fixed. The owner was aggressive and surly saying it was a Sunday and nothing could be done. He refused to offer me another room or even a refund (when I suggested I could look for another hotel) even inferring that I had broken it! The next day I asked for a partial refund as I had had no sleep; I was shouted at and lied to, saying they had offered me a room in their 'other hotel' (not true!) A really awful unprecedented experience.
Great hotel, excellent location. Breakfast buffet style and was really good. Would definately go back
Breakfast buffet each morning was excellent. It includeded many traditional Turkish breakfast items like cucumbers, tomatoes, fruit, bread, yogurt and olives, but also includes other items like cold cereals and bread The pool and garden area are very relaxing and were never crowded. Bar drinks are relatively cheap compared to other hotels/pansyions in Turkey so make the most of it and enjoy a 'chai' tea or Efes beer by the pool!
we were a little disappointed with our first interaction with the owner when checking in. Came across as quite cold and did not show much interest in us other than getting us to our room as quickly as possible. The welcoming just felt a little too 'commercial'. In addition, make sure you check the state of your bathroom when checking into your room. We realized it hadn't been properly cleaned as we found hair on the floor and near the toilet. AC works fine thoug
Free valet parking, breakfast included, located in old city, top room on the end is probably the best. Very good vfm.
Difficult to get to with sat nav. Need very good directions if approaching from the south.
This Hotel is a little Gem. Its a small family run hotel right in the heart of the old city. Location could not be better. Comfy clean rooms. Staff are all lovely. Breakfast is buffet type, typical Turkish fare with good variety every day including juice, tea and coffee served to your table. Really had a lovely stay here and would defiantly go back. The old city is beautiful and you are just around the corner from the broken Minaret and a couple of minutes from Hadrians Gate. Food at the hotel is basic but good, must recommend the Chefs chicken soup which we all agreed was the best soup we had ever had. Would also recommend Vanilla restaurant which is in walking distance. We went to Nights of Anatolia which was excellent and visited Side and Aspendos. Trips can be organised by the hotel but shop around you can get some cheaper elsewhere. Really loved this hotel and Antalya, hope to go back again soon.
Pool Friendly service Breakfast in courtyard Dining options
The family staff were very friendly, including Papa who got some negative reviews previously! It's not 5 star but it is perfect if you want to relax. It is not for snobs.
All the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpfull, hotel, rooms and pool all spotless clean and the breakfast was excellent, thoroughly enjoyed our stay,
- Location - Friendly staff - Architecture
A very good location, staff always willing to help nothing too much trouble. Our room was nice but a little to much furniture but very clean breakfast was good.
Only one thing if it were to rain there is no inside restaurant so you have to eat outside which can be quite chilly in March and April.
