Located 275 yards from the Blue Mosque and 600 yards to Hagia Sophia, Hotel Sevila features a rooftop terrace restaurant with views of Topkapi Palace and the Bosphorus.
Score from 390 reviews Good
The staff of the hotel was great and very helpful especially Mehmet and another young guy who had just start working there. The location perfect close to everything .The breakfast very good. So in general I would give 10+
Discovering that a couple of City of London Bankers had the same idea.....even though we can all easily stay in say the Swiss Hotel, which is 400 Euro's a night.
location was great
Staff friendly, amazing location clean and pretty! Aircon, hairdryer,tv and fridge... Wifi in the room. Amazing view!!
Nothing... I liked everything... Maybe if you have difficulties to do stairs you should stay at the first floor... But the view from the third floor was worth every step! Almost an unobstructed view of the blue mosque
The hotel is centrally located, whithin minutes of historical sightseeings. My room was very comfortable with tasteful interior design and amazing views of the sea on one side and Blue Mosque on the other. Staff provided excellent customer service! I would advise Lamp hotel to tourists visiting Istambul.
Location and Staff
The hotel is a little bit small. Overall it's a good hotel but maybe not the ideal choice for a family.
Good location in Sultanahmet with great view of Blue Mosque, owner fluent in English, helpful staff.
The many restaurants nearby are convenient but overpriced with unexceptional food.
Clean, nice room.
No elevator, mediocre breakfast.
location balcony kettle hairdryer
tv didn't work even after getting remote fixed, but didn't come to istanbul to watch telly!
Great location, staff was very nice and Mehmet, the owner, helped us to negotiate for a better price for the public parking in the area.
Every think was excellent speciale the owner mahmet he was friendly and helpful and the staf where excellent we had our time over there. Thanks
Best location in centre. Room was clean. All the staff were very friendly, helpfull and funny. I recommend this hotel. I really spent very nice vacation:)
Almost everything. Superb Location! Sound proof was good, (not the sound of guests who talks louder). The View of the Blue mosqué from the room was splendid. Hotel is inside the Sultanahamet, so visiting most of historical places is just by walk. Owner is very nice. The receptionist Irkali (georgian Guy) was very funny! The Lady (Christne) who prepares breakfast and who cleans is very pleasent. Very good Hotel
The rooms are small
The Location is perfect, the Blue Mosque can be seen from the rooms.just walking distance from transport, the staff is helpfull and it is very clean. The rooms are small but good for Travellers, and the price is very resonable.
there is no lift, but almost all the hotels in Sultanahmet area are the same. the Breakfast is not served as buffet but still good.
Good location in a quiet neighborhood very close to the Blue Mosque, close to the tram. Team smiling and helpful.
location very close to blue mosque and hagia sophia. wifi work until my room.
the stairs to small, the room never cleaned, the family room to small for family. breakfast boring.
The family room was nice, but quite small.
Its not a hotel but a hostel. Very small reception, and dining room. There isn't a living room.
I can only say: Location, location, location! Absolutely brilliant, with the Blue Mosque practically in the back yard, lots of nice cafés and restaurants near by, right in the heart of Sultanahmet. Nice and exceptionally clean room, which is pretty small but more than enough in a city that just pulls you out of the room anyway. Hairdryer, toiletries, TV, WIFI, kettle - everything is there and the view is fantastic. Bed really comfortable, even for my somewhat problematic back. Breakfast buffet great, coffee wonderful. Staff (employees) very welcoming and helpful, boss somewhat indifferent. If, or better when, I go back to Istanbul, the Lamp Hotel would definetely be my first option.
Owner's attitude. Soured the experience a bit to be told several times that the booking.com rate was a promotion and that he does not make any money out of it. If that is so, do not offer promotional rates or if you do, don't bother your guests with it. For what I payed (30€) the value for money was great whereas the posted tariffs in the "lobby" rather are fantasy rates.
It locates in a very convenient and safe area. We don't need to spend too much money in the transportation. You can walk to every famous sights of euro area. The owner is very kind to answer questions. The stuffs are also excellent. The facilities are quite good and very clean.
Since the blue masjid played some traditional music in the morning, it was not easy to sleep very well in the morning.
Staff and location was good. Very friendly and attentive.
It was on forth floor, so it was difficult to go up and down without lift.
Very good place for historical tourism. Clean room and bathroom.
Really good staff. Great location: from one window in the room you can clearly see Bosphorus and from another — close–up of Blue Mosque. Guest–friendly owner: when we was on Adalar and missed check–out for couple of hours he kept our room for us without extra price!
Staff was amazing. Location unbeatable. Clean rooms.
