Score from 74 reviews Very good
Nice location, 5 minutes from taksim square. Clean and tidy and 24 hour desk service. Best turkish breakfast. Best deal in the price paid
Small but comfortable and clean rooms, breakfast, in the center of Istiklal St.
Room with not enough sun light
Location, size of the room, price, very polite and helpful receptionist.
Bad smell in the room and in the lift.
The room is so small
the location is amazing. the night life is all around you. you have the metro station on walking distance and can do shopping in the morning. the breakfast is good and has a good variety.
the female staff in the morning insists you to checkout at 11:00 am, and is a bit uptight and rude about it. I have not seen so far and I am sure its not the care around the world. at least not in 8 countries where I have been or any other hotel in Istanbul. so clearly they don't follow hotel policies so they should not call them self a hotel. The rooms are very small. 2 nights staying in the hotel, their is a blackout in the area from 2:00 am to 4:00 am. no electricity.
Hotel was in a good place, in taksim district, a lot of pubs and restaurant nearby. Good breakfast. WIFI was available.
It's very difficult to find it, because there was no sign at all with the name of the hotel. Hotel do smell of humidity.
A great place to locate yourself in the middle of Istanbul at a reasonable price. Staff are friendly, attentive and helpful. Had an excellent stay for 3 nights and was very well looked after. Absolutely Fantastic.
Great Location and the staff very friendly (Ahmed or Rajab and the lady responsible for the breakfast ) ,good service thanks a lot ..
this hotel is by far the better than other4 star hotels that are located in the same area in terms of rooms and amazing customer service. Mr Ahmed, Rajab and Bearna were very helpful. the breakfast was good and the rooms are clean and quite. i recommend the room in the fifth floor if you are looking for a bigger size. istqlal road is near by (2 mins walking) and the area is totally safe.
Location, staff and breakfast. Queen room was very roomy with attached living area and price was excellent.
It was been my first time at Istanbul. The hotel is a three-stars hotel. I found it better than my expectations. The hotel crew or staff are very helpful and cooperative. They always offer to help. The breakfast is very delicious and various. Certainly, I would book at Lavanta hotel once I visit Istanbul again. In my opinion, the hotel is not expensive at all in comparison with the services they provide. Rooms are very clean and tidy. The air-conditioner, WiFi, and TV are working perfectly as well. Beside the hotel, there is a restaurant and cafe. We got used to have Turkish Tea there by sitting on the tables located on the street. Amazing feeling ! I really recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to visit Istanbul. It makes you feel the how life in Istanbul looks like. Honestly, I didn't face any problem there. I want to say something here, it's a three-stars hotel not a five-starts hotel. So, be realistic when you write your feedback. The hotel was over my expectation though I am giving it the full mark.
The price was affordable, but after my experience it still wasn't worth it. It was close to a taxi stand.
I stayed in the Lavanta Hotel for one night, before leaving the next morning for the airport. It was a complete disaster. We wandered around the area for a good hour until we asked a nearby restaurant for directions and they directed us to the unmarked building next door. The location is in decent proximity to Taksim Square but the hotel itself was in sort of a 'backdoor alley' feel with a lot of pubs around. I would not recommend it for families or solo female travelers. After carrying our luggage around for an hour we were relieved to finally get to the hotel and very anxious to get to our room, as it was our last day touring Istanbul. We waited nearly 20 minutes because no one was at the front desk. We arrived somewhere between 13:00-14:00 in the afternoon, not at a ridiculous hour of the day or night where it might be considered acceptable for an absence at the check-in desk. Finally someone showed up and proceeded to talk to their friend for a couple minutes instead of apologizing and immediately checking us in. The elevator was old and run down. It made me feel nervous and unsafe. I couldn't imagine this property suitable for anyone with a baby stroller or wheelchair. I definitely do not recommend this property for anyone with small children, disabilities, or anyone elderly. The room itself was acceptable and the bathroom reeked of bleach, which I didn't mind at the time because I'd rather have a clean bathroom than a dirty one. However the only alarming thing was that nearly a day later when we checked out, the bathroom still smelled heavily of cleaning supplies probably because the bathroom was small and lacked decent ventilation. The worst part of my entire experience occurred in the middle of the night, when we were asleep at 5AM in the morning. Before falling to sleep I locked the door yet somehow (maybe it was some sort of magical intervention) at 5 in the morning someone attempted to break into our room.
The staff is kind and very helpful, excellent location near istiklal street and taxim square.
Noise from the external stairs during night, i don't know if it is used by the staff or other people in the hotel.
Staff does not speak english to well
- Location was near Lively Istiklal Street - Breakfast was good - Accommodation is just okay
- Pathetic Toilet Seat rest of things were clean - Rude Manager Tone though they tend to be somewhat helpful but this is their duty not favor - Managers (seems to have) Rude behavior with maid who works in kitchen - Extremely congested room, very un-comfortable (okay its somewhat my fault i should have seen it in their room description, but still I feel it could have been set in some comfortable way)
Good location, staff was friendly and helpful
Rooms were moldy and smelly and street is very noisy at night
We stayed 4 nights at Lavanta. The staff was very nice (but English not so hood) but still very nice and helpful. The rooms were small but cozy, modern, clean and comfy. The breakfast was decent with variety of cheese and olives. The nightlife is awesome as the hotel is just around the corner from busy Isiklal street but quiet enough to get a good night sleep. Overall, great hotel!
The shower floods the bathroom floor. Can't use the bathroom to get ready after a shower bc the floor is too wet to walk on. I used the mirror outside the nathro, but no light. Need better lighting at the door where the mirror is.
Everybody was very friendly and helped us with every questions we had. The location is perfect and it is easy to reach almost every part of the city. The rooms were clean and tidy.
The hotel in the center of city. The price is low, the personel is normal. The shops is very closly
Street sounds are waking you at the morning and city don't sleep until 2 a.m. It very nosy place. And it very far from sightsing.
What I loved the most in this Hotel, is it's great location, really close to Istiklal street and taksim square. The staff were also kind and helpful.
What spoiled jy vacation is the fact that I couldn't host friends in my hotel room, because this hotel policy don't accept any visitors even for couple of hours.
Our room was large. Breakfast was decent. Wifi good.
We were given a room on the ground floor right outside the reception desk which was terrible as it was so noisy. We could hear EVERYTHING - people checking in and out, staff talking, hotel phone ringing at all hours, staff at reception watching TV...They also kept the front door of hotel open at all times which meant that street noise filtered straight into our room. I asked if they would shut it (it was after 11pm) and they said no. Our bathroom smelt of damp and made our whole room stink - we informed reception but they didn't do anything. Towels were dirty and had holes in them. Air conditioning unit was so loud that we had to turn it off at night otherwise we couldn't sleep. Not a pleasant stay at all. Perhaps if we had a different room it would have been better.
We loved the staff, they helped us with reservations, tours and a lot of other stuff. Their English was good and understandable. Breakfast was good. Cleanliness was very good, every day new towels etc.
The room looks way bigger on the Internet than it was it actually is, but the on the other hand, who needs a big room if you only sleep and shower. There was a weird smell in the room once the AC as turned off.
The cleanliness, they are very clean and friendly especially the girl host she helps a lot and the only English speaker almost in the whole country
The hotel is too small, they don't have a lobby, people there if not the girl host speaks very few English and the food options in the breakfast fits a kid. All and all it was a horrible experience I won't recommend to a big family however if you're a couple it's a nice hotel but won't go again!
narrow room not suitable for a family
