The location of the hotel is really good. Staff are helpful.
Wifi connection is weak.
Didnt have breakfast because we left very early. Stuff booked a taxi for us to the airport. Suit is very comfy, clean and romantic. Close to Cemberlitas tram station and Grand Bazaar.
I think we where lucky to get upper floor (i think it was 6th) because half of the building is kinda underground. Could not open the window because of smoke rushing into the room. Tiny scary elevator for two. Bottled water was not complementary...
Nothing fancy but all quite good for a decent price and excellent location near the grand bazaar
- Close to all the historic sights in Istanbul (Blue mosque, Ayasofia, Grand bazaar,...etc.) - Good value for the money.
- The walls are not properly isolated. We could clearly hear the next rooms TV! - Staff is not too friendly. The receptionist guy tried too hard to push us into booking Bursa trip with a certain travel agency despite the fact that we told him that the reviews online about it is so bad! - Hot water is clearly an issue. We had to leave the tap running for about 5 minutes before the water gets warm!
Staff is very kind and helpful. They gave us tips and helped us to get on time to the airport. The hotel is beautiful, looks recently renovated. Absolutely recommend this hotel!!
It was cold outside and there was no heater in the room (only aircon). It was okay for one night but a heating system in winter would be nice.
Good service, nice breakfast, friendly staff. Thanks to Sait for early check-in and coffee :)
Location excellent- in the city center, very near of the blue mosque and the railway station Rooms are very clean. Staff are kind.
We booked the double deluxe room, and although the room was quite big, the bath was very small and uncomfortable, and it was located next to the kitchen. After 2 days, they moved us- although we didn't ask for it. The other room was OK but smaller. Breakfast was regular.
We stayed 2 nights at the Leyenda hotel and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is good located, the staff was really helpfull and everything was just great!!
nice cozy hotel. good location. one tram stop to Bazar and 1 stop to SultanAhmed, all in walking distance. breakfast was simple but ok.
- room was not cleaned nor new towels were placed the second day when we arrived in the afternoon. the staff told us the cleaning lady will do this now.
Walking distance to Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, Cemberlitas Hamam & tram station. The rooms are clean and toilet fixtures looks new.
The street corner, which is a few meters away, seem to be a garbage collecting area.
Big room for that part of the world, which was great. Air cond worked well. Location was as good as you could walk to main attractions.
Eating breakfast in the reception area was not good, it was very cramped and they didnt have enough room to put all the food out. There weren't enough seats for all the guests either.
The hotel is small but very lovely. I booked an economy double room which was supposed to be on the underground level, but got upgraded. The room is nicely decorated and super clean. Bathroom is new and spacious. Staff is wonderful. Mazlom is very attentive and helpful, as well as his sister, Hilal who also works there. It was a shame I stayed here only one night. I would definitely come back here if I were in Istanbul again.
-perfect location at walking distance to almost all city's main tourist attractions; quiet location also; -free working wi-fi; -clean though rather small room with balcony; -decent breakfast served at the top floor of the building; there is a small nice terrace, with city and Bosphorus views; -generally, staff was doing their job; -shuttle bus transfer to the airport at a decent price; -good value for money - if you book early;
-the 2nd room was a bit smaller, and balcony had an ugly view in the backyard, although at the same price; -beware of the underground rooms with no windows; -trips at the front desk are way overpriced; Bosphorus trip can be done at Eminou with as low as 10 TL;
Glad to leave!!
We were seated in the extermly small reception area of the hotel for breakfast. The advertised terraced breakfast area was under construction(Just begining). Many customers could not have their breakfast. The given food was of very little choice other that cheese and staled bread.Out of three nights I could not sleep most of the time because of very loud banking noise from inside that shook the whole building! A number of customers including my self went up and down (2.00 AM)the building investigating the noise but the management did not bother. I can honestly say it was an awful experience!!! And wast of my time and money. I hope booking.com does something about this! The hotel should be re-classified and given two star rating.
Close to the "action" - walking distance to the grand bazaar, the spice market and other sites of interest. Clean.
Vehicles cannot drive up to the entrance all the time; we had to drag our luggage over cobblestones. Rooms were cramped. Elevator fits only 2 pax. Language problem makes communication unreliable.
Value, location, staff, new rooms, breakfast on the roof terrace.
Could not have asked for more.
We booked four nights in Leyenda . We ended up with 2 days basement and two days attic which supposed to be a KING SUITE with sea view ! we stayed in the basement two days since we were tired and did not want to argue with the hotel but we refused the “ King suite” for the following reasons ! 1-This King "Suite" is only an attic. 2-The access from the kitchen only !! 3-The balcony is a joint balcony with the kitchen tiny terrace that’s to say you can hear the people eating and chatting in “your” balcony while you are in your bed ! Further, you can hear all the noises from the kitchen as early as the staffs start working not to mention the smell coming from ! 4-The sea view is from the balcony of the kitchen and only from a sharp angle! We refused to accept and moved to another standard room! When we checked out the hotel refused to refund any money and insisted that we pay fully as the king suite. We are going to complain to booking.com since compensation must be paid for such action! The hotel is a misleading hotel since most of the information indicated in the booking.com are untrue especially the kitchen terrace and King Suite not to mention the street of the hotel which surrounded by shabby and old buildings will never ever stay there again !
1. Breakfast very good. 2. Bathroom and toilet very clean. 3. Bed very comfortable. 4. Located at walking distance from many tourist attractions.
1. The Wifi service cannot connect to computers with for Windows 8.1, thus cannot connect to the Internet. The Wifi system must be upgraded. 2. No drinking water in the bedroom. 3. No tissue paper in the bedroom.
the room was clean and lightnings were good. Staff was polite and helpful.
The rooms on ground floor (301, 302) are very close to reservation desk therefore, all the speech at the desk is heard in the room. I wasn't able to sleep well. The promotions are lie. The normal price of the rooms are no more than 270 TL. There is no room for 1140 TL or so.
Location Helpful staff
Quite a bit of noise at night from outside the hotel
Good location within walking distance of major attractions Rooms: Clean cozy and tidy with nice decoration Bathroom: acceptable size Amenities: Tea/coffee making facilities but not replaced on daily bases! Room safe Good free WiFi
-Hotel is only a small boutique-like located in an old back street and surrounded with lots of dull and old buildings! -Hotel street is blocked occasionally by local authorities and we had to pull along our cases from the taxi for about 50 meters! -Adjacent buildings right and left that’s to say no side view ! -No room terrace or balcony as indicated in booking.com Leyenda details ! –Some ants in the room in two occasions! -Could not get an early check in ( no big deal ) but had to argue for late checkout even though I am a "booking genius" and should get it easily according to booking.com hotel information! -Short beds - One key card only for each room ! -Lighting of room: Limited night lighting ! -Breakfast : Poor but got a little improvement on our 4 days of 6 . Breakfast lounge is a small attic so watch out your head ! -Breakfast terrace is only a small roof top accessed by 6-7 steps down from a doorway-like and this area capacity only 3 /4 tables ! -Terrace view: Only the roofs of some old building with a side and narrow sea view! -Hint: Avoid Rooms starting with No 1 & 2 since all are basement rooms with no adequate days lights while rooms staring with No 3 are semi basement and just near the door of the lift and only few meters away from reception desk so lots of noises during days and nights ! we asked to be given better rooms in order to have a good sleep but we faced the ready answer " WE DON'T HAVE" ! I think there are some misleading information about the rooms / rooms balcony and terrace/ breakfast lounge and breakfast terrace as well as the floors of some rooms ! Leyenda should give clear information about them people must know exactly what they are paying for !!
Wi fi spotty Curtains didn't close tv didn't work Room so tiny two people could barely fit in it We were supposed to be in Leyenda but were moved to Newport, a new sister hotel around the corner
The location is excellent. Hotel décor is also nice. The front desk staff are nice and helpful.
The room was two floors underground (a real basement), which was not specified at booking time, I wouldn't ve booked it if I knew! The room aeration wasn't all great and there were small flies definitely due to that. I asked for a bed cover 3 times and never got one. This was my 6th visit to Istanbul, this hotel was definitely not my favorite.
My advice to you if you want to make a perfect holiday hotel definitely the staff very süper.Hotel general manager,mr. Ahmet so Helpfull thanx for your help.everywhere in the center of the city just 5 minutes.
location, friendly stuff ,nice interior ,working wi-fi ,very clean
