Local Cave House Hotel  

Het hotel is mooi, fijn zwembad, prachtige omgeving, Zeer goede service van Mehmet. Toen onze dochter jarig was verzorgde hij een taart na de ballonvaart en 's avond bij het hotel. Iedere dag kregen we lekker meloen en goede reisadviezen. Lekker ontbijt, mooie familiekamer.

The staff were so helpful when trying to book trips and tours. They also took time out to play backgammon and took the time to get a ball for my son to play with in the pool. The location of the Local Cave House Hotel is 2 minutes from shops and restaurants. Definiately some where I will stay again if we can go back to Goreme.

The two hosts, Mahmet and Harun are the best. Charming, friendly and extremely helpful in arranging tours and giving info about the area. It is an actual cave hotel that is like staying at someone's home. It is charmingly rustic but has modern conveniences. Very homey, laidback and relaxed but don't expect luxury. Very clean, centrally located and a refreshing swimming pool!!! Best value for the money.... Highly recommended.

Beautiful hotel, with an amazing view. The staff were always helpful, and gave great travel advice. Quiet, peaceful, and just a short walk to all the restaurants and shops in Goreme.

This was a really fun hotel. It's built into the hillside like the caves in the area. The manager was very helpful in setting up a balloon trip and a Turkish night. We even had free parking. Would recommend this not only as a hotel, but as a unique travel experience.

The description "superb" is highly overstated The description and the photographs of the property on your site simply did not match the reality. Bed mattresses obviously over used were too soft/loose for comfort Breakfast was rudimentary given the room charge. We had better breakfasts and comfort at lesser costs

Location is very good, typical cave hotel. And the host is very nice and helpful. Can help to book hot balloon fly and green tour, etc. Breakfast is also good.

I thought it was a wonderful place to stay if you are looking for that authentic cave experience. Location is perfect as it was close to the town where the restaurants and shops are. The breakfast was great. Amenities such as the pool and private outside veranda with tables and benches for each cave room was a wonderful touch.

The hotel has really beautiful surrounding and the hotel itself is nice. The room and shower room are spacious and the staff is very helpful and make you feel welcome.

Every staff is very friendly. For e-mail inquiry, the staff responses very quickly. The price is reasonable. The breakfast is also resonable. A related restaurant "Local" takes good service. A location is very near from the center of town. The tour arrangement by the hotel is quick and reliable.

The wireless wave at the room is sometimes weak and operating speed is little bit slow.

Mehmet is an amazing host. Always smiling, he helped me to make the most of my 2 day trip. The room and the hotel are peaceful, cosy and beautiful. Breakfast is ok. The location is perfect, in the center of Goreme.

The character of this hotel is undescribable and we would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in the Goreme area in Cappadocia. It was clean, well maintained and decorated very nicely. The staff were more then accomodating and happy to help us with anything. It was in a great location as well.

The hospitality was excellent! Great location, walking distance to Goreme open air museum. The rooms are very "authentic" meaning actual caves, no TV or phone (but you don't need them).

The service level is unbelievable. Mehmet does everything for his guests. The rooms are nice and comfortable and the location is excellent - very near to eateries and bus station.

Lovely hotel,great location, super comfy beds, luxurious bathrooms with big flufffy white towls amd best of all the most helpful and accomodating owner in Goreme. We stayed three nights in Local Cave House as part of our 20th wedding celebrations with our two teenage children. Even before we had arrived Harun had sent us lots of information and offered to take us on a walk through the rose valley at sunset which we did and was stunning. We had the family room on the floor overlooking the pool which was very spacious and comfortable with lovely views from the sitting area in the room and the terrace outside. I have trouble with my ankle and found the steps up to the room totally maneagable. The hotel is just behind the main drag and just slightly up the hill so you get the view without the climb. Harun and Memhet went out of their way to help us, harun gave us lifts anywhere he thought might be difficult for me and organised a car and driver for us so we could do our own tour rather than being stuck with a group. I would never have seen the view of goreme at sunset without him as it was far too steep for me to walk. Thank goodness they have such a nice large reception area (where they are very happy to look after your cases for you after check out) as we had to spend half the day there while Mehmet helped us sort out a problem with Turkish airlines and Harun had to dash us to the airport for a very reasonable fee. My kids loved the fact that they left out breakfast till you wanted it and didn't get up till after 10!!! Staying at Local Cave house hotel made our holiday extra special in what has got to be one of the friendliest most laid back towns in Turkey

Positive: big selection for breakfast, central position in Goreme, authentic decoration in the cave rooms, exceptional view in the morning when the hot air balloons take off; helpful staff. I would definitely stay again in the hotel and recommend it to everyone. Excellent place.

in the bathroom only shampoo available (body lotion, conditioner etc would be nice). more bulbs could be installed in the rooms as it was a bit dark in the evenings. a pity we couldn't do late check out (but the facilities in the common area were ok to spend few hours, not having our own room)

It was fantastic stay in the hotel, especially the traditional decor. Mr.Mehmet did his best to organize the shuttle bus for us from airport, he can manage everything according to your budget and requirements.Always I ask his advice to optimize my time, especially visiting the open air museum and the underground city. Wonderful people, and nice stay. Note: The hotel is in the first level of a series of hotels, so it is suitable for those who cannot claim mountains, it is within affordable level, no less level than it. The hotel in the city center, every thing available within walking distance. Thank you again, i consider him as a brother.

I loved Local Cave Hotel. The manager Mehmet was supper nice giving me really good tips of what to do. With so much to do around Kappadokia, it helps to have someone pointing out the right direction with the best tour companies and restaurants to experience. I would totally give 10 stars for service in this hotel. It was such a relaxing strees-free stay. They take care of every detail for you : from the airport pick-up and drop-offs, to entering a beautiful cozy room upon your arrival (they made sure to turn the heater on prior to my arrival which most hotels won't bother doing it), to having your rental car delivered right at your door steps. The views from the hotels was gorgeous and the location was superb - carved on the hills but only 2 blocks from the main strip near all restaurants. I would recommend the hotel to all my friends.
