Muito bom chegar num hotel clean, limpo, todo branquinho, com uma vista espetacular. O único senão fica por conta do excesso de escadas, já que o hotel não tem elevador e fica em cima de um morro.

The hotel has beautiful accomodations along with the best view in Bodrum. The staff was very friendly and it was in a good location, close to the city center. I had a great holiday.

Everything, but please read on... The Manastir Hotel is situated part way up a hill at the quieter end of the bay, about a 10 minute walk down to the waterside, restaurants and shops in Bodrum. From here you can stroll along the paved sea front area to the many restaurants and shops, and on into the centre of Bodrum, the ancient castle, and marina. The climb back up the hill is quite steep and could be a problem for some people. If so, consider taking a taxi from the bottom of the hill taxi rank up the hill, it is a very short journey, inexpensive, and may be worth considering. We thought the hotel was very attractive and immaculately clean, and the staff really friendly and attentive. The pool and the restaurant around the pool area are lovely. Towels are available on the sunloungers and showers and loos are available by the poolside. We thought the view over the bay, islands and castle with the sun sparkling on the sea during the day was wonderful, and in the evening when the castle is illuminated and the lights in Bodrum are turned on it is equally beautiful. The area around the pool makes a lovely setting for a special meal and again we found the service to be excellent. We visited Bodrum at the start of the season, and were surprised how green the area was. Probably later in the season this would be very different. Both the sea and the swimming pool water were quite cold, but it was possible to swim in both, although I personally didn't want to put my face in the water too long! Later in the season this would be different. During the 1st week of May, in the evening, Bodrum was fairly quiet but some bars and clubs were open and we think in the height of the season it could be quite lively. If you were visiting Bodrum and were looking for a lovely hotel with a fantastic view, friendly staff and clean facilities ,near but not in the heart of the centre we would recommend this hotel very highly.If you go , hope you enjoy it as much as we did! We liked everything, but for those who have mobility or fitness issues to consider, please read our comments above re uphill position and inexpensive taxi option.

The exellent view of Bodrum harbour. Disappointing that the otherwise marvelous breakfast did only include water, tea and coffee Orange juice was extra at €5 per glass of frees pressed juice.

We liked the location, the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the hotel. However we had to wait 4 days to use the pool because the holiday season hadn't really started. In fact we seemed to be the only ones on holiday as the rest of the people were on business.

The location. It has a fabulous view over the castle. The breakfast is fantastic with loads of choice. There is a really lovely smell throughout the hotel which I have noticed on my two visits. The bathroom in the suite was rather grotty. Definately needs replacing. The water pressure was not good making having a shower not that easy.

I loved how clean it was! When I entered, my room had a fresh pine clean scent and it was beautifully kept. I also enjoyed the location and view. It wasn't right on the beach but had gorgeous views and was just 5-10 minutes walk from the waterfront. I found that the wireless internet connection wasn't that great. The connection was very low and I often got cut off. As a solo traveller, I depend on being able to stay in touch with friends and family via the internet and it was difficult to do.

What's not to like about this hotel??? The staff were amazing. The view from our room was incredible and the food served from the hotel was outstanding. The facilities were second to none. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to go back and stay longer next time. Stunning! No complaints. Amazing hotel!

Very good value for the money.It has a quiet and peaceful location but close to the action(easily walkable). The view is breath taking. The staff are attentive and friendly.We can't speak any Turkish but all the staff we encountered were able to communicate well enough in English to make our stay most enjoyable. This place is a '10'!

The view was as I expected....perfect. Even though the hotel was very 'pretty', it lacked character. The staff were no more than adequate, not their fault, too many young staff members with limited experience. Additionally, I became convinced that the building was no more than a 'cosmetic' conversion rather than a tastefully converted ancient monastory when the whole place started leaking like a sieve during the seasons first major rainfall. To be fair...my room had no leaks, nor my friends, but the hallway,the reception etc,etc.

We found the Manastir Hotel a relaxing environment. The rooms are spacious and well laid out, very convenient for the traveller. The bathroom was excellent. Everything was extremely clean. The view from the hotel breathtaking. We stayed for 24 hours. Spent a lovely afternoon by the pool and a wonderful dinner on the patio. We would recommend this hotel to others and look forward to staying there again. The desk staff had very limited English.

“Lovely hotel, situated right on the busy one-way street along the shore. Located right in the heart of the night life, plus an easy walk to the marina, the beach, the bazaar area, and St. Peter's Castle.
