The staff, accommodations, furnishings, linens, and food were absolutely perfect. The breakfast, tea time treats, and dinner were out of this world. The entire staff is incredibly polite, and take care of every need. The beds and linens are very comfortable. We wish we were still there. Also Capt. Nail took us on an excellent excursion.
This not a reflection of the hotel at all, as the Mandarin is perfect. The only thing we would change would be our day at Aktos Beach It was a bit of a hike, and was a real stretch to hike home. Once at the beach it was not very comfortable with large boulders and an aggressive tide. Very beautiful beach and water, just not a very relaxing environment.
The charm and sense of fabulous personal attention without ever being intrusive The food was 4 star! This is a gem and I dream of returning again!
The beds could be softer
The best old-world type hospitality. The by far best food we had in Turkey. Beautiful property/ facilities!
Everything from the warm and friendly welcome from the owners and staff,to the fabulous food and accommodation.
Very friendly staff, always available. The rooms are great, the suite was beautiful. The spa tub was huge which was great since I'm above 2m. The bed was also huge and was 2x2m. Pool area was nice and quiet, could really relax there. Although it was a bit outside the town, the connections are great and they offer parking. The bus stop is literally just outside and it's just a short trip into Öludeniz. The owner is great and comes with plenty of suggestions to do and can arrange them for you.
The breakfast wasn't very appealing for us at least, not a lot of options. No warm dishes and I just ate some bread and yoghurt with honey every morning, which wasn't for us. No classic continental options at all. The dinner was okay, they give you four starters, soup, a hot starter, main course and dessert. The food was in general not the healthiest with a lot of fried stuff, and we were really hoping for some organic locally sourced options. Dessert was poor, most of the time it was some Turkish delight and they are all very special and not very appealing to non Turkish visitors. And the wasps was always around to disrupt the breakfast/dinner which was a bit annoying. They also charge a lot for drinks, they are similar to European prices even for the locally produced beer. We weren't advised of this and would probably have gone out more for drinks instead of sitting there.
