Conveniently in the heart of old Istanbul, this 3-star hotel is just a short walk from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia and steps from the tram stop.
Score from 57 reviews Good
Just 300 metres to the Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace, Barok Hotel Istanbul is in the middle of the historical Sultanahmet area.
Score from 80 reviews Good
Emine Sultan is just feet from the Blue Mosque, in Sultanahmet. It features modern rooms in a traditional wood building with a roof-top terrace offering panoramic views of the Bosporus.
Score from 436 reviews Excellent
Combining Turkish and Byzantine architecture, Nena Hotel in central Sultanahmet is within walking distance of Blue Mosque, St Sophia and Topkapi Palace. Its rooftop restaurant offers Bosphorus views.
Score from 503 reviews Excellent
-Walking distance to all the monuments in Sultanahmet -Courteous Staff -Walking Distance to Tram Station(Gulhane)
-Rooms were too small
Lovely decoration, amazing view, great location
A bit noisy and small
the furniture and the room is good
WIFI is poor, and no hot water for bath one night, kept us waiting for a long time. The staff is careless for our problem.
location clean old theme
small breakfast in another hotel No parking for nights
EXCELLENT POSITION FOR SITES AND TRANSPORT. GREAT VIEWS AT BREAKFAST AT THE ADAMAR. VERY QUIET HOTEL. VERY CLEAN BEDDING. KETTLE PROVIDED.
ROOMS AND CORRIDORS A LITTLE DARK. MATTRESS COULD HAVE BEEN A LITTLE SOFTER FOR MY OLD BONES.
Staff are friendly and informative. The authentic Turkish touches in the room were welcomed after coming from a very plain and disappointing hotel. We stayed in the ground floor room right next to reception and noise was not a problem. Also meant no stairs and lift to deal it. The view from breakfast in a neighbouring hotel is one of the best in Istanbul!
Location Nice room Good shower Excellent breakfast.
Fridge goes of when door card is removed
Perfect location if you want to visit all major attractions. All are in walking distance from hotel. Clean rooms
Small double rooms
Friendly staff, great location
could have been cleaner
The hotel was very well located and was extremely close to sultanahmet. There were also several restaurants and cafés around.
Staff, location, views from breakfast, value for money
rooms were a but cramped with little storage space
do not ask the taxi service
Good location, good staff, clean room, totally good
Breakfast at other hotel, very small room, almost no space for movment.
Great location, good price, breakfast is good (but across the street)
very small rooms. View from 4th floor opens to a broken roof of the neighbor building
- Location - Value for money - Staff very helpful - Breakfast was good, even if served in hotel opposite ours. no issue at all
- Bathroom could have been somewhat cleaner
It's very interesting
We had the best room of the bunch, which was top floor on the back, with views towards Hagia Sophia. Other rooms don't have that. Quiet air con, good bathroom and shower. Very private with only 2 rooms on every floor. Small elevator, but relatively new and very handy for 4th floor stay! Hotel has nice and colorful style and design, and friendly staff. Good breakfast in adjoining hotel on top floor and roof with great views.
If we'd really be picky: the ceiling was a bit low (maybe because it was top floor).
very nice hotel in heart of Istanbul
Stayed here for four nights after flying from the US. The room was wonderful! This was the only hotel we stayed in during our two weeks in Turkey that had blackout shades and heavy curtains. Apparently the glass was thick as well, because we heard no noise at all from outside the hotel. We booked a double and received two single beds pushed together with a double sheet stretching across the two mattresses, each with their own duvet covers. This is very normal in Europe, and while it may sound unromantic, it is fabulous for a great night’s sleep. The air conditioning was not on when we checked in, and the room was stifling. However, once we figured out to put our room key in the slot on the wall, the AC worked flawlessly. AC could be set to a low temperature and stayed on all night (unlike some other hotels we stayed in) or you could set it to a fan only setting. Room had a small desk with chair, as well as a refrigerator. Furnishings were Ottoman style and added to the overall experience. Bathroom was outfitted nicely with Ottoman style fixtures . Location was phenomenal – one long block from the park between the Haggia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. Tram stops in two different directions (Sultanahmet, Gulhane), each a five minute walk from the hotel. Souvenir shops next door had the best prices of any we visited. Breakfast is across the street on the top floor of the Adamar Hotel. Great selection of fruits, pastries, yogurts, etc., including cooked to order omelets and crepes. Above the breakfast room was a viewing deck with 360 degree views of Istanbul. Highly recommend!
Nothing really. The room was fairly small, but large enough to lay out two big suitcases on the floor without tripping. Size was very typical and expected given the location. The shower head sprayed somewhat randomly and probably needed to be replaced
Service attitude is very good, very warm。The hotel location is very good。there is kettle and toothbrush in room。breakfast is very well。
Room a little bit wet
Location, design, friendly staff, excellent water pressure in the shower
Could hear the noise from the lobby from first floor room
Close to major attractions. Staff is ok helpful.
Rooms are very small. building it self is very narrow even difficult to enter two people the elevator. Booking.com should make mandatory to post the front elevation picture of building to make visitor to evaluate the hotel before making booking. I was standing in front of hotel but couldn't recognize because I was not imagining that hotel will be very small.
I ate most wonderful hotel breakfast of all time. Room and bathroom; cozy, big with brand new, stilish furnitures. Location, perfect. Wiev, perfect. Let me make a brief for you folks. Awesome hotel.
I dont like i had to go back in 2 days.
Very nice small hotel. Nice view on Breakfast Restaurant. Very kind stuff. Nice and clean Interieur.
Beds are just 1,90 m long, but comfortable. Quite noisy on the street side but nice view.
