day time staff was very good. but the staff who work at night time was very unkind and rude.
We stayed from 15-18 Nov.14 (3 nights) - Location is in Sultanahmet area; 5-10 walk to the Blue Mosque and surrounded by many café and restaurants, which are opened until late at night. bazar of souvenirs is within 5 minutes on foot - Facility: The hotel has elevator :) When we arrived they put us in room 303, which was shockingly small even for one person not 2! However, on the next day they moved us to 304, which was by far better in terms of spacing TV is small, but honestly didn't matter for 3 days-stay! Small minibar (simple one) Free Wifi, but weak; just for basic and browsing needs Service: FOR 3 NIGHTS OR MORE THEY OFFER A FREE HALF DAY TOUR, WHICH WAS A BIG PLUS FOR THEM Breakfast was included (not rich), but included at the 5th Fl. And from there you can climb to the roof, where the view at the breakfast time is pleasant to the eye! Daily FREE Tea Time between 5-6 pm (tea, coffee, pastries) Daily cleaning Shuttle bus (scheduled) can be organized to the airport for 5 EUR/person
Some rooms are really small i.e. 303! At breakfast they have one type of eggs (bowled), so if you wish to have other kind i.e. scrambled, it will be EXTRA and you have to pay for it (around 7 TL/order) Wifi is weak They don't have Queen matrass for Queen Beds; 2 single ones gathered together!
The location was really good, the stuff were friendly and helpful.
The internet was really slow and we had connection problems. If you are paying the full fee of the hotel it wont worth. The breakfast was really poor and the hotel was not clean; especially the fridge. The bed was really uncomfortable.
hospitality, organization and the stuff at reception. nice people and helpful. recommanded for whom looking for honeymoon ;)
Hotel staff speak very good English and are helpful. Excellent value for money and excellent location
Breakfast choice is limited
Situation close to major attractions was brilliant. Breakfast was plentiful and fruit and bread was fresh and tasty. Plenty of local restaurants. Staff helpful and friendly. Air con was a bonus. Hotel arranged transfer from airport to hotel which was great and not too expensive.
Location, efficient staff, very clean, great views from terrace, good choice of restaurants nearby and just around the corner from The Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and Aya Sofya.
Wifi temperamental, not as fast as in UK. Toilet too close to shower cubicle.
It's small, clean and friendly hotel. Personal is friendly.
Breakfast is not so good, and wifi is sometimes slow. The cleaning and servicer crew cannot speak English good.
Excellent location , situated in the old center ( Sultanahmet ) Mosque Blue 5 min and 10 min from the sea, near a lot of restaurants.
Staff were friendly, cheerful, and very helpful. Located in the heart of old Istanbul. Excellent breakfast. View of the old city and Bospourus was pretty good.
The room was so small that there wasn't even room for a chair. This is awkward for wives who need a space for applying makeup. We figuered it out though, and had a wonderfull time.
Very helpful staff and available 24/7
Noise due to some construction and people from other rooms talking while waiting for elevator
The localization is very good. The terrace is quiet nice to have breakfast.
The room was clean but very small and noisy. We tried to have another room after the first night and they never gave us a solution. The personal is antipathetic, always trying to sell you something when you ask for some information.
Great location, A/C worked well, rooms were dark
Misinformation regarding room options. Largest room has 2 single beds and can fit 1 extra. Put away all your things or housekeeping will put them away for you - I found my swimsuit in the cabinet under the bathroom sink (I had it hanging to dry), and my glasses got put away somewhere (I'm assuming) and I never found them. Friends had things unplugged and returned to suitcases - felt invasive from an American standpoint.
1)Good location-in the center of Sultanahmet, 5min to AyaSofiya and Blue Mosque. 2)breakfast was good - several choises of tyrkish cheese, tomatoes, boiled eggs, olives, yoghourt with nuts, fresh fruits. Not different every day, but it was ok. Breakfast is served on terrace on the rooftop with very nice view. 3)room was clean but small
1)high price of airport transfer -30€, whereas by taxi it will cost 40-55 lira. 2)window in room was small with view to the wall.
Position near old town. Cleaning.
The air conditioning didn't work and the room was too much small.
staff are enthusiatic.
though hotel is in the tourist attraction, location is quite difficult to find.
Excellent location, really close to major attractions and efficient wifi. The staff were helpful with suggestions and bookings.
The very uncomfortable bed, dark room with poor lighting and the noise which travelled too loudly and too easily into the room.
Location , nice view from terrace, breakfast, wifi internet
Small rooms, uncomfortable bathrooms , rude staff, one of them tried to overcharge us for larger rooms and transportation .
perfect location, good value for money, very clean rooms, silent location, great view from the roof-top terrace on the bosporus + blue mosque
front office manager immediately tries to sell you their over-priced tours, plus he tried to charge us more than previously agreed for the airport shuttle
I liked the perfect location. The room on 4th floor, though overlooking the wall, however spacious and comfortable enough. Great breakfasts and wonderful view from the terrace.
View from the window over the wall.
Location (Old Sultanamet, very close to the Arasta Bazaar, Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, Blue Mosque, and Hippodrome), convenience (restaurant and store beside it) and value for the money that includes a good breakfast buffet with the view of the Sea of Marmara and the Blue Mosque on the 5th floor. If I visit Istanbul again, I'd book in this hotel.
Keeping xerox copies of their visitors' passports. Nobody could tell us the purpose why.
It has an excellent location.,the staff are very pleasant and helpful.
The rooms were very small and quite tired looking. The breakfast was very basic and very limited in choice.
Breakfast room/terrace had great views. Breakfast Staff was friendly Rooms were cleaned well daily Room 402 had nice sunny window, little street noise GREAT location
Front Desk Staff made repeated errors/mistakes, forgetting to note upgrade and departure dates while pressuring us to book tours with his company. Finally, they extorted 235 TL from my Sister when she returned to gather stored luggage, to cover their mistake in charging the incorrect amount to my credit card. Check your bill carefully!
The hotel is very clean and convenient, situated in a lively restaurant district and very near to major attractions. The staff were very helpful and polite. It was excellent value for the location. Breakfasts on the terrace, with views of the Blue Mosque on one side and the sea on the other, we're a highlight of each day.
The dim lighting and lack of a proper view outside was a bit stifling but it wasn't a problem because we weren't in much during the day.
Big room, nice bathroom, great view from rooftop terrace and restaurant, nice receptionists
You pay extra for orange juice or omelet at breakfast time; brekakfast good, but a bit disorganised (e.g. runing out of Turkish simit bagels after an hour) - for a hotel of that price category unnecessary. Room in the basement big, but dark - noisy from 6.a.m on (staff rooms were next to my room)
