Value for Money Very relaxing Very authentic
You need a car
The setting of this hotel is wonderful. The facility is charming and the setting is very special - you feel like you are in a country-side paradise. There is also a large swimming pool.
The owner of the hotel doesn't appear to pay much attention to the details that make a hotel really work well. Although the staff tried, they don't seem to have had much training. For example, there were wet towels hanging on hooks in the bathroom when we arrived, there was a light out in the room that they took another day to replace, there was no soap or toilet paper.
Misafir layout and organisation lends itself to easily make contact and converse with other guests of all nationalities for a really relaxed holiday. Staff friendly and obliging.
Dog barking until the early hours some evenings. Cock crowing every night.....got accustomed to it as part of country life.
The large pool and covered patio/garden area are lovely. Delicious breakfast with good variety -- fresh-pressed orange juice only 3TL. Filis (spelling?) is charming and very helpful-- she made various phone calls for me. Her homemade three-course dinners, plus dessert, are god quality and very reasonably priced at 20 TL per person. Accommodation is very rustic, a bit like staying at someone's old family cottage, but it is clean and comfortable. In some ways in adds to the charm and it's good value. Enjoyed the wooden balcony. Would stay there again, but with a car next time.
A bit far to walk (further than indicated on map -- about 30 minutes) to the main village of Kayakoy. The rooms on the ground floor emit a strong, moldy odour so ask for an upstairs room if you have an acute sense of smell.
It was a great trip in this cosy sweet place. I felt like I was lost in the world and I`m somewhere in Paradise. It`s far from main roads and it is so pleasant.
The house is a lovely and friendly paradise once you open the door in the walls. A great breakfast was served in a shaded terrace covered by grape vines. A delicious dinner was served in the cool evening breeze next to the pool overlooking the fields. The set up was that of a home, with a very personal decoration. The huge bedrooms have a balcony and have big bathrooms connected by a door. English books were in the passage and in the room. And above all everyone was very friendly.
Wifi did not work all the time. A car to get there is and to get arround is is advisable.
Fantastic rural location
Could not eat the breakfast , absolutely covered in flies & no attempt to cover it up
Its in a lovely rural location. The rooms are spacious and rustic.
You can hear other guests coming and going. The guests next to us were noisy until after midnight. It is advertised as having credit card facilities but they were not available and we had to drive to town to get cash to pay the bill. Very annoying
The tranquility - only noises being those of the Muessin, chickens and cows! Very little traffick. Enormous bedrooms with plenty of storage and very cool. Bathroom had a wet room with very efficient shower. Swimming pool lovely, nice shaded walkways around the building. Only about 8 rooms so not crowded.
Not a lot, however, it is about a mile from the Dolmus route into Kaya Koy so you do need to hire a car to be able to get there without too much hassle and be able to explore further afield.
Lovely room (with a big library with english books) and huge shower, pretty wooden balcony overlooking the garden. We also loved the homey, village feel and the delicious homemade breakfast which is served any time you wake up (we're late sleepers so we definitely appreciate this).
The wi-fi wasn't always working. It's also quite remote from the rest of the village, which might be a problem if you don't have a car.
The location, the quietness, the garden and pool. We stayed three nights and ate there every night. The food was delicious and varied and great value for money. We hired a car in Turkey and found it useful although the local buses are cheap and frequent..The walk to the ghost village and a range of restaurants only takes 15 minutes. Staff lovely and couldn't do enough. First visit to Turkey by two bus pass carrying pensioners - it won't be our last.
Having to leave.
The room we stayed in (twin room) was spacious and clean. The bathroom was clean also.
The hotel is located quite far away from the main road. It is a 2km walk to the entrance of the ghost town. After dark, walking back to the hotel from the restaurants in the center of town takes about 25 min through somewhat dark streets.
Lovely spot - we used this place as a base for 4 nights while we did a 3 day dive course in Fethiye - we hired a scooter (the coast was a quick 10 min drive over the hill) - lovely to return here each night. NIce garden setting and pool. Best to request an upstairs room with balcony when booking - ours was downstairs and a little dark but still comfortable. Double bed was 2 singles pushed together but no real complaints.
It would be good if breakfast could start a bit earlier (it starts at 9am) as we were always gone by this time for the dive course. The food was good though - no real coomplaints - this place is quite lovely. Bit removed from local places to eat so worth hiring a scooter.
