The location of the hotel is good. It is walking distance to Ulus Metro Station, Gençlik Park and Luna Park. It is about 15 minutes away from Kizilay. Staffs are really polite. The bed is very comfortable. Its breakfast is good and delicious. Room service is good too. No matter when you leave the room, they come and clean the room for you. The staff needs to improve their English but they understand you. The shower is very small. They need to improve their room's TV to a flat screen TV.

I didn't like anything. It was a very bad experience. I had the worst possible experience while staying at this hotel. First of all, when I made the booking, they charged my credit card for all the 3 nights I was going to spend there. When I checked in, the guy at the reception was very arrogant and unfriendly. The room was small and smelled of stale smoke - even my suitcase smelled of stale smoke when I got home from my trip. Before going out, I opened all the windows and the door to the balcony, so fresh air could come in; however on my return in the evening, the room still smelled horrible. The bathroom is just a little bit bigger than the size of a shower cabin. There is no bathtub or shower curtain whatsoever so when you take a shower there is water everywhere, you can virtually swim in the bathroom. Although situated close to the centre, the neighboring area is like a market for selling cell-phone and tobacco, is very dirty and seems unsafe at night. Other hotels in the area appear to serve as brothels. The WiFi stops working in the evening (happened to me on both days I stayed there) and starts working again only late in the night. But the cherry on top of the cake was when one of my best friends from Turkey wanted to come up to my room. He was not allowed to come up. I asked for an explanation, but the older guy at the reception became extremely rude and was not even answering my questions. He even pretended he did not understand me ("No understand. Little speak English."), although before this incident he had no problem understanding me or speaking English. I have stayed in several hotels in Turkey and throughout Europe and it never was a problem to receive guests in my room. I asked to speak to the hotel manager, because that's not the way they should treat their guests. I mean I was not staying there for free, I payed for the hotel so I have some rights. I expected to be treated with respect. He told me the manager was not there and I should come later.

Breakfast was good. The receptionist offered to book bus tickets for us over the phone to Cappadokia. The price was TL 50. But when we went to the otogar to buy them on our own, the ticket was TL 35. Not sure the bus company charges more for booking in advance or the receptionist wanted to rip some profits. The receptionist was not very patient and spoke relatively poor English.

Room was comfortable and clean. Location was great to relax for a day or two as it was right near a huge peaceful park lined with relaxing cafes and water features. If you're young and have kids Luna Park is close by. Breakfast was a typical Turkish breakfast and pretty good. On arrival at night the place seemed a little seedy. By the next morning we realised it was quite okay. The shower was efficient but miniscule and sprayed all over the bathroom.

A good budget hotel with a friendly staff and clean rooms. Noisy location of the hotel. Hotel rooms are comfortable but bedside tables and tables need replacement. The rest of the furniture in the rooms is comfortable and looks well. Shower needs to be separated in some way (by plastic curtain) from the rest of the bathroom.

The hotel's location is good. It is close to the city center, and there is a small supermarket close by. Stuffs are very friendly. The reception recommended us a very good place for dinner! That is the most delicious one we had in Turkey! The breakfast is very basic. But I eat little. My room has a strong smoke smell. Stuff could not speak good English.

Being close to Havas airport bus terminal. Next to the city centers (Ulus 5 min walk), (Kizilay 2-3 bus stations away). Very close to bus stops. Quiet neighborhood. Helpful staff despite speaking very little English. The rooms as in the pictures. The bathroom worked properly. The air-conditioning worked great keeping the room warm all the time. I'd go there again if I went to Ankara. There are not many restaurants around and you have to walk to Ulus for the nearest restaurants. The neighboring area is like a market for selling cell-phone and tobacco and it may seem a bit unfriendly. But as I said it just seems like that. we didn't have any problem even late at night. the breakfast is not buffet style and they give you a plate with stuff in it. However, we asked for extra bread and many cups of tea or coffee.and they eagerly gave us whatever we asked.

At first, when I arrived at the hotel I didn't perceive the surroundings as the city-center. But when I checked the major touristic destinations of Ankara (Anitkabir, The museum of anatolian civilzation and Ankara castle) on google-map, I saw that you can easily walk to the last two of these from Mithat. And also it's 15 minutes walk to the shopping and cafe places (Kizilay). The only thing was, that from the staff including the receptionist nobody spoke English.

Overall the hotel was comfortable. The breakfast may be enhanced by adding some fruits / juices to the menu. Further, the hotel may consider serving Buffet style breakfast instead of a fixed-for-all plate which results in many un-utilized items in the plate.

the room and bathroom were large and spacious, as were the hall and lobby. a breakfast plate and one beverage were served in the nice breakfast area above the lobby. the room was made up by housekeeping the day i stayed over, which often does not happen in low cost hotels in turkey. the hotel was easy to access from the metro, in was about a ten minute walk from ulus station. there is a massive, beautiful park nearby which has access from the ulus metro stop. walking through the park is actually the most direct route from the metro to the hotel, in the metro look for the exit sign indicating parki. the proximity of the park is a real advantage. the hotel is close to some great turkish restaurants, the urfa restaurant in particular was superb! although difficult to find, it is possible to walk to the archeology museum in 15-20 minutes from the hotel. for the price, the hotel is surprisingly nice, i think the neighborhood has something to do with that. the opera medani is across the street and is actually a massive parking lot. the businesses around the hotel sell domestic appliances which fill the "sidewalk." the hotel is at the edge of a large wholesale market. many shops close down at sunset which makes for lonely walking after dark. other hotels in the area appear to serve as brothels, although i saw no evidence of that at the mithrat.
