Das Hotel liegt perfekt im Zentrum von Sulthanameht, alles is wunderbar zu Fuss erreichbar. Sehr familiäres Hotel mit extrem freundliche Personal. Sehr sauber und gepflegt. Würden sicher wieder dorthin :) |

Aus einem 200 Jahre alten Haus haben die neuen kanadischen Besitzerinnen ein mit allen wesentlichen Einrichtungen versehenes Hotel gemacht. Ideal sind die zentrale Lage in Sultanahmet (man erreicht alle Sehenswürdigkeiten usw. zu Fuß!) bei gleichzeitig absoluter Verkehrsruhe. Die freundlichen Besitzerinnen bieten alle gewünschten Hilfeleistungen und Informationen. Etwas einfallslos schien uns, dass täglich ein absolut identisches (aber durchaus wohlschmeckendes und optisch ansprechendes) Frühstück serviert wurde. |

sehr zentral und doch ruhig in der Altstadt gelegenes kleines, gemütliches Hotel in unmittelbarer Nähe der Hagia Sophia und des Topkapi Palastes. Das Hotel wird aufmerksam und persönlich von sehr symphatischen Canadiern geführt. das biologische Frühstück war schon auf dem Teller portioniert und wenig abwechslungsreich. Die ebenfalls beschriebene Dachterrasse des Hotels ist leider nicht für Gäste zugänglich. |

The hospitality was amazing. The two owners and only employee spent much time talking to us about the city, giving us tips, and making all sorts of reservations for us. They really made us feel just like home. The location is perfect for sightseeing. A few meters from Hagia Sophia, tram, bazaar. And because deatail matters, the bread and cheese pies at breakfast were delicious. |

Everything was great - a small nice hotel right in the central part of the old european part of the city 2 minutes away from Ayasofya and Sultanahmet. Very hospitable and clean. |

Had a excellent stay at this hotel last week. Hotel is very centrally located, in the center of Istanbul in a quiet street; walking distance from all the major sites of Istanbul. Close to the tram, which will bring you to other neighborhoods, airport included. Rooms are tiny, but clean. No TV, but excellent wireless internet access. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast in the morning, conclusion: real value for money! |

very convenient location to see the Cistern, Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque etc. nice friendly staff. breakfast was a little on the light side. Room was clean although noise can travel through the hotel. Overall a good experience. |

Really excellent location. Very friendly and helpful people. Nice breakfasts. Clean, comfortable room. During peak times, not enough hot water to go round. It did heat up again pretty quickly, but sometimes required 30 minutes wait for hot water if the hotel was full, and everyone showered at the same time (happened to us twice) (maybe we should get up earlier!) |

Home atmosphere and location in the heart of the downtown are main advantages of this hotel. Helpful staff provide useful hints to explore the city and country. It would be good to improve wi-fi access to the internet from all rooms. |

We were made to feel extremely welcome by all the hard-working staff and they were able to help with any queries that we had. The rooms were beautifully decorated and we benefitted from the fact that this had only recently been taken over by the 2 Canadian women just over a year ago, who had clearly put a lot of thought and effort in creating the design for the interiors of the hotel. Fantastically central location in Sultanahmet but benefitted from being down a side street and not on any of the main restaurant and bar streets. If we were to return to Istanbul we would not need to consider any alternative accommodation, we would certainly go back and wholeheartedly recommend to anyone visiting the city as a great value place to stay. We would have preferred a buffet breakfast so that our plates were not pre-prepared and so did choose not to breakfast on 2 of our 4 mornings. However we are very fussy eaters! |

The hotel was perfectly situated for all the attractions within walking distance i.e. Blue Mosque,Hagi Sofria Grand Bazzar,The two Candian girls were brilliant nothing too much trouble,recomend this hotel. The breakfast was the same every morning,even down to being laid out the same on the plate,cereal would not cost anymore for a change. |

Some of the nicest hotel owners we have ever met. Exceptional interest in our needs and desire to make the trip worthwhile. Beautifully decorated with antiques and art. No elevator, had to take 2 flights of stairs however, the staff lugged our suitcases up and down. |

The hotel was fantastic - clean, cozy, comfortable and close to everything. The staff were warm and welcoming and helped in every way they could, which made for a great stay. We will definitely return to The Modern Sultan next time we are in Istanbul and would recommend this hotel to anyone. |

The comfortness, just like home away from home. The owners, Rhonda and Jeannie have been most helpful in providing information about the city, food, culture and places of interests. Location of hotel is fantastic, 1 min walking distance from all the glitz of Sultanahemet, yet very peaceful and quiet! Will definitely visit again! Would prefer a TV in the room! |
