Friendly and avaiable staff. They helped me a lot arranging my transfers for a good price. Great location, with a beautiful ocean view. Good breakfast on the terrace, also with an amazing view. Room is confortable enough. The bathroom could be a little better, with more space in the shower and no curtains.

The staff and owner did their best to meet every need. Breakfast egg dishes were cooked to order from especially fresh eggs. The location is better than that of five star hotels. The rooftop restaurant gave a great view of the harbor. My wife would have liked a hair dryer in the room.

We loved the friendly atmosphere and location - ideal for day trips around the region and catching the ferry to Samos. Enjoyed meals on the rooftop terrace. The famous "Mr Happy" was away when we were there but his brother Omer was equally entertaining & went out of his way to help when I lost my camera. Lost my camera in Kusadasi and believe it was taken in front of the hotel or surrounding bazaar so take extreme care with your bags etc.

Amazingly friendly staff, very helpful with everything you need - tours, directions, food, etc. Stayed in 402 with great view of the harbour. The rooftop patio/cafe was fantastic for breakfast & dinner. We ate there both nights and it was our favorite dining experience of the trip. Food was great value, prepared fresh by the staff, very authentic and delicious. Rooms are basic but comfortable and clean. Location is right on the water with easy access to Kusadasi. Tour guide for Ephesus picked us up directly in front of the hotel. Omer and the entire staff were wonderful.

This was a wonderful place to stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room overlooked the Sea Port and we were able to watch a beautiful sunset over the sea as well as the cruise shps dock. It was an exceptional value as well! Proximity to tourist travel connections. Can't think of anything!

The staff at this small hotel were among the friendliest and most helpful we encountered in our month-long stay in Turkey (and that's saying a lot, as Turkey is full of wonderful people). The Liman is not a shiny 5-star type accommodation but it is clean and more than adequate, and the location and staff make it first rate. We were there in early April, so just before the season opened and the rooftop cafe was closed, but Mr. Happy found a cold beer and gave it to us to take up to the roof and enjoy the late afternoon view of the harbor. The breakfast the next morning was enormous, far beyond the standard Turkish breakfast fare, with constant checking to be sure we had everything we wanted. Mr. Happy's tips about where to walk and what to see were right on target too. And after a long frazzling day of driving to get to Kusadasi, we really appreciated the check-in person taking our car and driving it to a safe nearby parking lot for us. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Not really a dislike, but the wi-fi was a little sketchy until Mr. Happy experimented with turning the system off and rebooting, after which it worked just fine so problem solved!

The owner of hotel ; Hasan is one of the amazing person I met in Turkey. I don't mention a detail in here, yet he and his staff Omar they are incredibly generous and kind. The room is extremely clean and has enough space. The roof top view is just speechless.

There aren't enough kind words to say about the Owners and staff of Liman. Hassan and his brother are amazing hosts who went out of their way every single time to provide above and beyond anything I could have even asked for. As others have mentioned, from the arrival when Hassan helped me find free parking so they don't have to charge for it to the great stories of travels and recommendations of food and the conversations over breakfast, they by far exceeded expectations. To top it all off, the hotel is very clean and in a gorgeous location; you can stroll the coast as you exit and find enough places to eat (or just ask them for recommendations) or just drive/take the bus to Ephesus and Selcuk/Sirince which are definitely worth the visit. I can't speak for others but in my case, I have never paid less than double what they charge for similar service, so the value is by far great! If only they could clone themselves and the hotel everywhere, traveling would be that much better.

The hotel's location is perfect for those wishing to use the port. It was super clean, quiet, comfortable but what really amazed us was the friendliness of the staff: helpful, ever smiling, polite! We just loved the place.

I wasn't sure at first about staying in the Liman because of the price. The other reviews drew me in. My worries dissolved the moment Hasan, aka Mr. Happy, read my face and moved me to a room with a nicer view. He was so kind and truly accommodating. The room was very nice, with a lovely balcony that looked out over the water and the port docks. My shower was hot, my breakfast filling. Every request was fulfilled joyfully. Hasan's brother was just as kind and cheerful. You would be hard pressed to have a bad day at the Liman with singing or humming around every corner. When the atm machine across the street ate my card, and it looked like I might be stranded, they came to the rescue by offering positive words, support, and a good place to relax (the beautiful rooftop terrace) while I waited for the bank to figure things out. This is not a high end hotel in terms of appearance, but in terms of service, comfort, a good night's sleep, location and above all... A generous and loving atmosphere... First rate and hands down above many places I have stayed. I was a bit early in the season and the rooftop terrace was not yet open for evening bar-b-que and drinks. Guess I'll just have to return later this year.

The owner/staff was the warmest I have ever experienced in a hotel. When I arrived and had parked on the street in front of the hotel, the owner found another spot next to the hotel where I could park for the entire duration of my stay. I was traveling with my 11 month old son, and although I hadn't booked the family room, the owner moved the crib from the family room to my double. Later that night the owner's friends were having a fish barbecue in a patio next to the hotel, and he invited all guests in the lobby to help themselves to some fish. Every morning at breakfast the staff checked with us constantly to offer us anything else we wanted. This characterizes the warmth of the staff throughout the entire stay. Our room (302) was spacious enough for our son to play around on the floor and we had a view of the bay. We were located right on the bay as well, and were easily able to stroll the "boardwalk" of Kusadasi during the day. There were plenty of restaurants nearby, even some across the street or a hundred meters away. We wished we had based ourselves here to visit Ephesus instead of in Selcuk, since the hotel was a better value and since Ephesus was just a short drive away. It could easily be done with public transport. That we didn't find it sooner!

The hotel staff, especially the owner, are extremely friendly and go out of their way to help you and make you feel at home. We really had a great stay, and it did not feel like we were staying at a hotel. It felt rather that we were staying at a home away from home. In this hotel, everyone comes as a guest and leaves as a friend.

I chose Mr. Happy's Liman Hotel because of all the rave reviews I had read. They were spot-on and I am so glad that I stayed here. The owner, Mr. Happy, lives up to his name and makes you feel like you are staying at his home. As he said in his own words, "There are fancier places to stay, but none that will make you feel more at ease". This is not a luxurious place, but the view of the harbor and the ease of walking to the bazaar and restaurants is amazing. The rooms are basic, but more than comfortable. Good lighting and great shower pressure. The bed was comfortable, and the view of the harbor from the balcony was wonderful. While I was there the upstairs bar and loft were closed (getting to the end of season) but they served their wonderful breakfast downstairs near the main lobbey. What a feast! Fresh fruit, toast, eggs, vegetables, peach juice... YUM! I was full the entire day. I also have to mention my new buddy, Omar. He was at the front desk when I checked in and there a lot of the time. He is a great guy making sure that your every need is met and that you are happy, too. Kudos to the entire staff! When I come back again, I will stay there again for sure. The only thing I didn't like was that I didn't have time to stay longer with my new friends.

1. Location is great - right on seaside, in the main port area full of shops and restaurants, with easy public transportation to get to other locations in the area (such as Ephesus). 2. Wonderful rooftop terrace with phenomenal view of entire port, where breakfast and dinner are served. A HUGE plus!!! 3. Extremely friendly, personal and helpful staff. (4. Some rooms have view of the port, try to get one if you can - we unfortunately didn't) This was not a problem, but this is the only place to mention that our room was rather no-frills. Shower wasn't great. This was easy to overlook because of all the good things previously mentioned.

The hotel is in a very central location, near the shops and at the same time to the beach and seafront. The harbor is just infront the hotel. The rooms are bit spacious but with not that much facilities. The roof is a lovely area where u can enjoy a drink or so and breakfast is served there as well with stunning view of the harbor, sea and city. Breakfast is nice and the people serving it are very humble and nice. One last thing and very important, the owner (Hasan) is a very nice and helpful guy, very hospitable and will do his best to make u enjoy ur stay to the fullest. The furniture in the rooms needs to be updated, although its not a big deal.
